When we landed in Brazil, it made it Harry’s priority to find me something to drink. He immediately fed me three bags of blood. After my thirst was satisfied for the time being, we all took a local bus ride to the Oceanside. I sat near the window so that I could see the sights. I smiled when I saw the beautiful sculpture of Jesus Christ. The air smelled of tropics and food that the villagers were cooking to sell. I was able to smell the ocean before I could even see it.

We went to the harbor in search for a boat that we could use to get to the mysterious island that Angelina knew about. The humidity and the sun were surrounding all of us. I stared up at the sky and looked down at my skin. It was having a slight pinkish tint, confusing me.

Harry noticed and grabbed a beach towel close by and wrapped it around me. “What boat are we looking for?”

Angelina looked back at Harry with eyebrows raised. “A boat? Why on earth do you think I’ll get a boat?” Angelina turned around and gasped. “Marcelo!” She ran over and hugged a man that was four inches taller than her.

¿Como vai?

Tudo bem,” Angelina smiled. “Is it ready?”

Marcelo nodded, “At the very end, make a left. She’s fully fueled for you. Have fun, Karina.”

“Happy health, my friend,” Angelina smiled.

“Karina?” I whispered to Harry.

Harry shrugged, looking at Liam for answers. Liam leaned towards us. “It’s her fake name for here. Angelina is her great grandmother and Karina is the great granddaughter who inherited everything that Great Grandmother Angelina owned.”

I rolled my eyes, smirking. Angelina had to change her name so that no one can be suspicious of her age. Once Marcelo was gone, Angelina smiled and grabbed Niall’s hand. She squealed excitedly as she ran towards the directions Marcelo directed her. We all followed her and stopped. I shouldn’t have been surprised by now, but I still was. In front of us was a sleek black and white yacht. She was already climbing up to step on the ship.

“What doesn’t she have?” I questioned Harry.

He shrugged, going on the yacht. “Honestly, I’m still trying to figure it out.”

“Please, tell me she doesn’t own the island we’re going to stay on.”

Harry laughed and kissed my shoulders, “I have no idea, Baby. Just be happy that we get to live the luxury life.”

“Trust me, I am.” I stepped on the yacht, looking around. The wooden floors were cherry, everything polished, and everything described the taste Angelina loves.

“Three decks in total,” Angelina informed us. “This is the main deck. The upper deck has an awesome view and great place to get a tan.”

“Because our kind enjoy tanning,” Louis joked.

“The lower deck has a resting place, food, beverages,” she listed, “Jet Skis…”

Liam, Louis, Zayn, and Harry stopped looking around and looked at Angelina. She looked casually around with pursed lips and stared at us. Seeing our faces made her smirk.

Niall looked at everyone confused, “What’s a jet ski?”

Angelina smiled, “Just because we’re hiding doesn’t mean we can’t have a little fun.”

We took sail into seas immediately due to everyone’s excitement about having Jet Skis on board. Harry was bouncing up and down with so much excitement in his eyes. Angelina asked me if I wanted to join Harry, Liam, Louis, and her on the jet skis, but I shook my head.

She gave me a bathing suit to wear if I changed my mind, along with a white beach fedora hat and sunglasses. I slipped on the dark blue two-piece bikini that had gold chain links connecting with the straps and matching ones in the center of the bottom piece. I placed a white loose tank top that stopped almost halfway down my thighs over the bikini and went upstairs.

Everyone was dressed up in swimwear and wearing sunglasses. Niall looked at Angelina’s attire. She was wearing a black two-piece bathing suit. The top piece had a halter fringe effect. The bottom piece was modest and covered her up perfectly.

“Are you sure that attire is appropriate?” Niall asked her.

Angelina smirked, “Like what you see?”

“Of course, Princess, but is that…”

Zayn removed his shirt and patted Niall on the back. “Welcome to the twenty first century, Mate. In fact, welcome to Brazil.”

Angelina, Liam, Louis, and Harry got ready to have fun with the Jet Skis. The Jet Ski that they had was the kind where they could do tricks with, so I knew that Harry was probably going to show off with that thing. I couldn’t help but laugh at Louis’s tropical swim trunks.

Harry smiled and pointed at me, letting out a victory roar. I laughed and blew a kiss at him, which he dramatically tried catching, but flung himself into the water. When he resurfaced, he held up his arm, smiling and acting like he caught the kiss I blew at him.

“Let’s do this!” Zayn shouted, driving the yacht. Liam, Louis, Harry, and Angelina automatically turned on the Jet Skis and started to drive around the yacht, catching the waves that it produced.

“This is for you, Baby!” Harry shouted, jumping a wave and doing a flip with the Jet Ski. I clapped and cheered him, giving him a thumb up.

Louis came close to the yacht and turned swiftly, nearly wetting Niall and me. “Splash zone, right here!” he roared with excitement.

Niall, Zayn, and I laughed and applauded Angelina and Liam doing flips and doing stunts in the air. Harry smiled, pointing at me, before he jumped up and spun the Jet Ski. I couldn’t help but laugh and smile at the joy in his face. It made me feel so at ease and made me have a reason to smile again. I loved this fun side of Harry that I haven’t seen in a long time. I sat down on the lounge chair, waving at Harry every moment he passed by us.

Harry decided to switch with Zayn so that he could go. As Harry drove the yacht, I stood up and hugged him from behind. “Where are we heading, Captain Harry?”

“There be treasure ahead, First Mate. Be prepared says I,” Harry said, talking in an old pirate voice.

I laughed and kissed him on the cheek. “Can I hold the helm?”

Harry guided me in the front and allowed me to hold the helm with his hands over mine. He kissed my neck lightly and rested his chin against my shoulder. “What are you wearing underneath?” he asked.

“A blue bikini that Angelina had down below,” I answered him.

“No way, I want to see!” Harry eagerly, lifted up my tank top.

“Harry!” I laughed, trying to pull the tank top down.

His eyebrows rose. “Wow, Baby, you look hot in this thing. It’s a good and bad thing you are wearing this shirt.”

“And why is that?”

“Good thing because no one else can see this body of yours,” Harry said, wrapping his arms around my waist. “A bad thing because I want you more than anything right now.”

“We can go down below and dig up some treasure,” I said, winking at him.

“I’d love that, but I don’t think Niall would know how to drive the yacht. Plus, we don’t want this yacht to sink now do we?”

“I see your point,” I laughed. I turned around and wrapped my arms around his neck. “I am definitely too excited for us going to this island so that we can sort out a few things.”

He wrapped his arms loosely around my waist, smiling. “What kind of things?”

I leaned forward and kissed him deeply, giving him the hint. I knew that he got the hint, especially when he pushed me against the helm, making us accidently press the horn.

“Hey! None of that nonsense here!” Louis shouted at us, and turning the Jet Ski around so that he could try to splash us. Harry immediately went in front of me so that he could block me getting wet, I squealed when I felt some water splash on my arm.

I laughed at Harry, “Well, you’re soaked.”

He shrugged and shook his head, making me run away and block the droplets of water with his hands. “Just letting you know, Baby,” Harry pulled me close roughly. “We’re going to enjoy the beach on that island and I’m going to enjoy you wearing that bikini.”

When the sun was setting, the Jet Skis were put away and everyone was drinking blood while Liam drove the yacht. Harry had his arm draped over my shoulder, running his hand along it. He glanced over at me and frowned.

“You got a little sunburn,” he commented. Harry looked at the burn, but noticed that it was slightly blistered. “Did you know about this?”

I shrugged, looking at my shoulder as best as I could. “I thought you can walk in sunlight.”

“We can but only when we drink enough blood. Even then, it wouldn’t be all day.” Harry looked at me warily.

“I drank a ridiculous amount of blood. How could this happen?”

“It’s because the blood bags aren’t fresh.” Harry kissed my blister and gestured me to drink. “Fresh human blood is what makes us strong.”

“I’m not drinking from a human, Harry.”

“You’ll have to eventually,” he sighed. “I know that isn’t what you want, but unfortunately, it has to be done.”

“Well how much blood?”

He cleared his throat, “An entire human.”

“So, I’d kill someone.”

“We hunted down those who harmed others, villains, Jazlyn. You can do the same.” He kissed me on the forehead. “The outcome of drinking from a human is healthy. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it has to be done. If you don’t, you will always need to drink blood to keep your strength up, you’ll have the urge to attack anything with fresh blood in its veins, and one day you could kill someone against your will because of your hunger. You’ll feel better choosing to drink from someone rather than having instincts take over, wouldn’t you?”

I grimaced. There really wasn’t any way I can say no to this. I’m a vampire now and I need to do this in order for me to have control over not killing anyone else. I’ve drank so much blood compared to the others. I sometimes saw them going a whole day without drinking from a blood bag. They’ve been out of the sun for just as long as I did today and they don’t have sunburn or a blister like I do. I sighed, “How long do you think I can hold this off?”

Harry shrugged, “I’m not sure. Hopefully, you have some time left.”

“Me too,” I sighed.

“There it is!” Angelina said, pointing straight ahead, making everyone look. In front of us was a beautiful island, filled with tropical trees. With my human eyes, I wouldn’t be able to see that much of the place. I would’ve been only able to see the shadowing because of the darkness. With my new eyes, I saw the amazing tropical plants and a glorious cliff. From a certain angle of the cliff, I saw a structure, which I assumed, was the place where we were staying.

Angelina took the helm and steered it around the island, leading into a cave. The sound of the cave had a soft humming noise to it and waves lightly crashing against the walls. In front of us was a small dock for the yacht to be tied to. Liam and Niall secured the yacht and we all stepped out of it. We followed Angelina out of the cave.

She looked at me. “Let’s see how fast you can run.”

At that moment, Angelina, Niall, Louis, Liam, and Zayn disappeared. Harry laughed and ran with them. Smiling, I ran following them. It was an amazing thrill. All of the plants around me turned to a green blur. In front of me, Harry was running and following the others. I ran a little bit faster so that I was right next to him. He smiled and grabbed my hand. Together we ran with the others, catching up to them.

We finally stopped and again, as usual, I was surprised at the place. The design of the house was a combination of a modern beach house and a tropical hut. The main color of the house was an off-white shade, but the wooden framework was more of a tropical wood color. In front of us, was a pool that connected in three different areas, one was a lap pool, lounging pool, and a Jacuzzi. The house was two floors and had three separate sections. The stairs was outside and connected the sections together through the balcony. The living room, dining room, and family room had large glass windows so we were able to see the fully furnished house. The furniture was mostly light colors that blended perfectly with the island.

“You own this place too?” I asked Angelina as we walked through the property.

“I don’t own it,” Angelina shook her head, winking. “My great grandmother does.”

“Thank you, Great Grandmother,” Liam laughed.

“West side is for Liam, Zayn, and Louis. East side is for the couples,” Angelina told us as we walked upstairs. She opened the front door and we all stepped inside. “There’s door for your bedrooms.”

“West side!” Louis shouted, running to the door. “I call the biggest room!”

“You had the biggest room last time!” Zayn shouted, chasing after him.

Liam looked at them. He gestured to them, rolling his eyes about how immature they were acting until he ran after them shouting, “I never get the bigger room! It’s my turn!”

“We’re going to go unpack,” Niall said as Angelina and he went to their room.

Harry grabbed my hand and guided me to one of the bedrooms at the farthest end so that we were close to the back of the house. When he opened the door and flicked on the lights, the room definitely reminded me of a hut.

The ceiling was angled up into a triangular shape, dark wooden floors that matched the walls and ceiling. The lamps created a glowing color to the room. The bed sheets were white and had a light washed green duvet that was folded neatly. I walked over to the bathroom and flicked on the light for it. It also carried the same color lighting as the room did. The sink counter was decorated with exotic shells and fake tropical plants.

As Harry set our luggage to the side, I looked over at the window and saw the glorious view of the ocean at another angle of the house. I pressed my hand against the cold glass window as I stared out into the distance. The other window had a view of the forest that I had the urge to go to because of a soft roaring noise that I couldn’t put my finger on. The soft waves echoed in my ears, insects flying, and the last of the birds chirping before they went to sleep.

Harry hugged me from behind. “What are you thinking about?”

I removed my hand from the glass and the noise silenced. I turned around to look at him. Without saying a word, I leaned forward and kissed him deeply. He moaned softly, tightening his grip around my waist. He pulled me closer to him and deepened our kiss even more. He immediately clutched onto my hair and lower back as we continued to kiss. He pushed me lightly against the wall, only to deepen the kiss more and more. I wrapped my legs around his waist and pulled him closer to a pint where there was no space in between us at all. His hands roamed under my tank top and removed it. I didn’t even bother with removing his shirt. With one simple tug, the shirt ripped.

He slowly guided us to the bed and lowered me down. His hands roamed my body, making me close my eyes. It seemed so long since Harry touched me like that. His lips traveled down my neck and to my collarbone. He lightly sucked and nibbled at my skin, making me let out a soft moan. I felt his lips curl up when he heard that sound escape from my lips. His fingertips slid up my sides and under my neck and back. With a simple tug, the bikini top was loosened and removed. He kissed every inch of me and found his way to my lips again.

Harry untangled one of my hands out of his hair and lowered it to his lips. He kissed it softly, “So beautiful.” At that moment, an aching sensation traveled in my mouth. My fangs lowered down, like how Harry’s did whenever he was turned on. I turned away, but Harry stopped me. “Don’t be afraid to show me, Baby.”

Slowly, I looked at him exposing my fangs. He sighed softly, showing his own fangs, and kissed me again. He lowered his head and kissed me on the neck. Without warning, Harry bit down on my neck and drank my blood. Feeling my own urge, I bit down on his shoulder and drank from him too.

There was a strong exhilarating feeling that I couldn’t explain as we drank each other’s blood. The feeling of his blood felt like I was drinking fire, only it was remarkable sensation. I never felt so drawn to Harry like this before. It felt like as though he was a magnet greater than gravity, pulling me towards him more and more. I felt every emotion that he was feeling. I felt the love that he had for me, the happiness in his heart, the compassion, and need to keep me safe. Still, there was one emotion I couldn’t understand, guilt. I didn’t understand why guilt would be in his heart, but I shook it off.

We both pulled away from each other, both of us panting. Our eyes were dark and filled with so much desire for one another. With great force, we connected our lips together again. We were both rough on each other, but neither of us worried about hurting each other. I mean, it would be ridiculous even worry about something like that. Passions were escaping from the both of us. It was unexpected, but it was the greatest thing every. Even though we knew how we already felt for each other, through drinking our blood, it was clear that we loved each other more than anything else did in this world.

I wrapped my arms around Harry tightly as we laid together. He stroked my back lightly and quietly hummed our song as I closed my eyes. The sound of his humming slowly faded away and the feeling of his fingers gliding up and down my back disappeared the deeper I slept.

Very hastily and briefly, I came out of my deep sleep to feel Harry kiss my cheek as I kept my eyes closed. I faintly heard him whisper, “I hope you’ll forgive me.”

When he said that, my eyes slowly opened. I wanted to turn around and ask him what he meant by that, but I didn’t want to disturb our moment either. I slightly began to worry though, remembering the feeling of guilt in Harry when I drank his blood. Could that mean that Harry was hoping I would forgive him because of whatever it was he felt guilty for?

I closed my eyes again, until I heard the sound of Angelina’s voice echoing in my head.

Trust me when I say, I had no choice…

My eyes popped open, only to still hear Angelina’s voice in my head.

Yeah, I didn’t give you the proper choice, but I wasn’t given one either…

Quietly, I prayed that there was no connection between what Angelina said and Harry’s guilt, but what are the chances of that being true? I grasped onto Harry tightly and looked up at him. My mind started to wonder what really happened the night I was changed when I was unconscious. If Harry’s guilt were what I’m thinking, he wouldn’t say the truth unless he was caught. Which meant I had to go to one person who would tell the truth completely. One questioned raced through my head as I tried to go back to sleep.

Will I regret knowing the truth of what happened the night I was changed into a vampire?
