activity in the making!

It was Sunday morning, 6:45am when Taehyun woke up. He opened his phone to text Huening Kai, to inform him that he is coming over to make the activity they are assigned to.

Taehyun turned off his phone, then went rushing to the bathroom. He is excited to see Huening Kai again.

After taking a bath and brushing his teeth, he went downstairs. Taehyun saw his mother cooking breakfast.

"Good morning, Taehyun. Going to your friend's place again?" Mother Kang questioned, earning a happy nod from Taehyun. Mother Kang smiled, then placed a plate of food in the table.

While he was eating, his mother suddenly uttered, "you should bring your friend some food." The idea made him smile, "sure! Thanks a lot mom!" Taehyun brightly replied, earning a smile from his mother.

"I should go now mom!" Taehyun waved his hand good bye, his other hand holding the box of food and their materials in his backpack. Mother Kang waved good bye, then walked back inside their house.

Taehyun hummed along the way, riding his bicycle. His heart was beating loudly as Huening Kai's house slowly appeared in his eyes.

"I'm here.."

Taehyun stood there at the door, hesitating to knock. After gaining some confidence, he knocked the door three times, not that loud so he wouldn't scare the other.

".. Tyun.. good morning.." Huening Kai greeted, looking unprepared based on what he looks like. Taehyun assumed that he woke up early but didn't had the time to prepare himself. He noticed that the other has his eyes puffy causing him to worry.

"Come here, enter. I'm sorry, I read your text just now." Huening Kai informed.

The two entered the living room, both sat at the same couch.

"Are you okay, Ningning? Your eyes are sore." Taehyun stated, worry evident in his voice. Huening Kai didn't spoke for minutes, he's too shy to tell him the truth.

The younger sighed, "I cried a little yesterday but don't worry, I'm okay.." he replied, his eyes focused on his lap. Taehyun nodded even though he doesn't buy what the other told him.

"Whenever you have a problem, you can always lean on me. Bottling your emotions will lead you into suffering, Ningning." Taehyun lamented, Huening Kai slightly nodded as a response.

As the room was filled with silence, Taehyun brought out the materials from his backpack.

"I'll start doing this, you can watch me." Taehyun gently informed, looking at the other's face. Huening Kai seemed to be worried.

"No worries, I can do this. I'll tell you if I need help." Taehyun added, smiling at Huening Kai as an assurance. The younger nodded slowly, hugging his knees closer to him.

Hours of making, Taehyun suddenly saw the other crying. It wasn't that loud so he didn't realize that he was already crying beside him.

Taehyun immediately dropped the marker he was holding. He shifted closer to the younger who is now wiping his tears.

"What's wrong? Do you need anything?" Taehyun questioned, Huening Kai couldn't look him in the eyes. The younger just shooked his head, then rested his head at the elder's shoulder.

"Have you slept well last night?" Taehyun questioned, Huening Kai mouthed a "no" and slightly shaked his head.

"I see, I'll finish this first then you can sleep on me whenever you want." The elder informed, earning a nod from the younger. Huening Kai sat up from his position and watched Taehyun continue.

It took 2 hours for Taehyun to finish their presentation, thankfully Huening Kai only jotted down the important details.

The elder glanced at the younger who is now hugging his penguin plushie. Huening Kai was trying his best not to fall asleep, waiting for Taehyun to finish.

"Hueningie, come here," Taehyun opened his arms wide, waiting for the other to jump in him. Huening Kai glanced at Taehyun, he swiftly snuggled close to the other.

He put his plushie away, now his arms hugging around Taehyun's waist. Both of them are lying at the couch, fortunately it was big enough for them.

The younger buried himself at the other's neck, then immediately fell asleep.

"What a giant baby. Sleep well Hueningie." Taehyun murmured, his hand running around Huening Kai's lock.

Since Taehyun couldn't fall asleep, he hummed a song that he really likes.

Minute of humming, his eyes slowly closed on its own. Taehyun drifted to his dreamland.
