Steve

I received a text from Natasha.

Meet me at the terrace. Now!! 

I smiled. I love it when she orders me around like that. I like her being in charge.

I took a quick shower, put on decent clothes and headed to the terrace. She must be in mood for some action. Its been a few days since we had a rough night, and she is very demanding.

James was with Wanda, so he can stay there for a little longer, I think.

I stepped onto the terrace floor. It wasn't lit, so I turned the lights on, only to be surprised.

There were many photos of us, in frames, placed all over. I smiled, what was she up to now? It wasn't any special occasion.

"Nat? " I called out for her, "Nat? Where are you? ".

My gaze fell on the table, that had a box on it, as I got closer, I saw a letter placed beside it.

I picked up the box and opened it. It was a wedding ring. But why? I took it out and stared at the inscription.

Wrong business.

I smiled at the inscription, what was this crazy woman playing at.

I took the letter out of the envelope and started reading.

I loved you when I met you.
I loved you when I didn't know love.
I loved you when we fought.
I loved when I could not.
I loved you when we made a mistake.
I loved you when it was wrong.
I loved you when I pushed you away.
I loved you when our child was born.

I have always loved you.

"I love you, Steve " I heard her say from behind. My hands were trembling, my heartbeat raced, as I turned to face her.

She stood before me, dressed in a beautiful black dress, with little makeup, but a deep dark red lip paint. As always looking beautiful.

She walked close to me and put her hand on my neck, "I love you, Steve. I always have, you are my.. I don't know what to say.. But.. I have always loved you. I realized it soon after our marriage, but I was hesitant to say it out loud. I can't hide it anymore, although you have known all along, I just.. I had to say it now.. I love you, Steve" she said, her eyes bright.

"Oh Nat!! " I grabbed her waist and pulled her to my chest, slamming her lips with mine, but not kissing her wildly, just desperately feeling the texture of her lips. Feeling the air escaping her mouth, as she parted them to breathe.

"I love you so much" I said, against her lips, "I love you, Nat" I looked into her eyes.

"I love you too" she said, filling my heart with immense happiness.

I pulled her into a hug, she wrapped her arms around my neck, and I dug my face into her neck, feeling her, taking her fragrance into my lungs. We have been together for so long, but nothing compares to this moment.

"Steve" she said, after I didn't leave her and kept hugging for long.

"Yes, Nat? " I said, still not leaving her, I wanted this moment to freeze. This moment was just too perfect to let go.

"Steve" she held my neck and moved back a little to face me, my grip firm on her waist and hips.

"Nat, just let me hold you" I said.

"Steve, I.. Need to tell you something else" she said. I don't know why, but it scared me a little.

"Nat? You are alright? Everything is fine right! " I held her head and panicked.

"Yeah, I am fine. Silly!! " she said and took my hand in hers.

"Steve, I.. " she blushed, making my heart almost stop, "I... Steve.. I.. I am pregnant, we are having our second baby".

I let my breath out finally, I didn't realize I was holding it.

"What?!!! Nat? Again? " I asked. She nodded. "Oh my God" I wrapped my arms tightly around her hips and thighs and lifted her off ground.

"Steve!! Put me down" she said, blushing.

"Oh Nat! I love you so much. So much. Thank you" I started kissing her all over her face, and she laughed.

"Thank you, Steve" she said holding my head.

Natasha

"Thank you, for turning a monster back to human. For making a barren woman a mother. Thank you for giving me a life I can be proud of Steve. Thank you" I said, with tears in my eyes.

"Nat!! Just.. Stop it.. I love you. Don't.. Forget the past. Embrace the future. Let's just be happy. Forever" he said.

"Forever" I said. And this time I jumped to hug him. He didn't even know what he was to me, I could never explain either, but I think he did understand.

"Another baby, Nat? " he said.

"Yes" I said.

"James would be such a good elder brother" he said.

"Yes, he would. I love you, Steve" I said, "I am glad we made that mistake".

"Of course. You are my most beautiful mistake ever" he said and we both laughed.

I moved back and then took the new ring out of the box, "Let's change it" I said.

"No! I like this one. For James, it was.. I don't care about the inscription Nat. You love me. I always knew that" he said.

He sat down on his knee and put his ear on my belly, "Thanks for coming and breaking your mother's shell"

I smiled, and admired the moment.

An year later

We were complete. And happy. Steve had put three pictures on the wall of our living room.

Thanks James. Was written above our wedding picture.

Thanks Anthony. Written on the picture from the day of my confession.

And the third was the picture of our complete family, from the day Anthony came home. My little bundle of joy. My perfect baby. A combination of us both.

Steve had succeeded in winning my heart, my life, my soul.
