Robert wasted no time in calling the airport and arranging our flights. Spirit was to fly ahead of us. According to Mrs Williams he didn't do well while traveling by plane, I didn't blame Spirit, Mrs Williams had called one of her vets. The vest had given him a calming sedative.

I made sure Spirit was well fed before letting the vet give him the sedative. With the help of the Cassabelle grooms and James who completely ignored me, but gave Spirit a long pat, helped load him into the trailer.

Charlotte stood beside Mrs Williams, who nodded at me. Robert stood beside me. "How did Charlotte agree to give Spirit back to me?" I asked. "Before we left I had Spirit registered. Ned emailed me his papers. I didn't tell you because I thought they wouldn't be ready in time. I didn't want to get your hopes up for no reason."

My heart swelled with love and gratitude. "Thank you so much dad. I love you." I wrapped my arms around him. Robert returned the hug. "Don't worry about Spirit. You'll see him again in Wyoming. Let's go get some sleep."

The thought of going back to Wyoming home with Spirit brought on a peaceful sleep that I hadn't had in months. The next morning I woke, showered and changed into a simple blue polo shirt and black leggings.

Robert and I ate breakfast alone downstairs and just as we were getting ready to leave for the airport Mrs Williams came down the stairs.

"Safe journey Mr Harrison. And Kate I'd like to formally apologize. I didn't believe you when you said that horse was yours. I only wanted what was best for my niece."

I smiled at her. "It's fine. I understand. I lost my mother too and Spirit has changed my life completely. Charlotte will find her horse too."
Mrs Williams surveyed me over her spectacles.
"You're a remarkable person Kate Harrison, Cassabelle Academy would be pleased to accept you. Until we meet again."

She held out her. I shook it. Robert shook her and I took our duffle bags and handed them to the taxi driver, who was waiting outside.

While Robert talked with Mrs Williams I noticed Charlotte, James and Maya saddling up a horses. It seemed like they were getting ready for a lesson. Maya saw me handed the reins to James who looked annoyed, and ran towards me.

"Kate I wanted to catch you before you left." She handed me a piece of paper with a number on it. "Here's my number. Call me if you like." I took the paper. "Thank you I will. It was nice meeting you Maya."

Maya pushed her braids out of her face and said, "we would have been great friends. Until next time." She gave me a quick hug before running back to her horse.

A noticed another man, dressed in riding breeches walk out and instruct them to line up. I caught Charlottes eye and I offered her a smile. She didn't return it. Instead she said something to the trainer, who turned to look at me.

Confused and wondering what the hell that was about I walked into the taxi after Robert. The car pulled out the gates, leaving Cassabelle Academy behind. We were finally going home.

-kate finally has spirit back and she's going home. Do you think that's the last she'll see of Charlotte & Cassabelle Academy? 🤔 plz vote & comment if u enjoyed the chapter.
