That night went by quite quickly, and once again, Kevin woke up in the middle of the night. He sat up, sweating from his forehead and shaking slightly.

He didn't have a nightmare this time, he just, woke up.

Kevin got his phone out and went onto the group chat they all had together. A few others were on it too, like Josie and Cheryl, but they were never active.

Kevin rubbed his tired eyes and rolled over, caught in his thoughts. Eventually, sleep got ahead of him and he woke up the next day.

"Holy shit." Betty exclaimed. Veronica, Archie, Jughead, her and Kevin all sat in the hangout area before school. Jughead nodded.

"He was taken to the police station, I-I have no idea what's gonna happen next" He explained with fear in his voice and face.

Betty rubbed his shoulder supportively which sent mixed messages to everyone in the group. Veronica raised an eyebrow, then Kevin and Archie looked at eachother with many questions.

Kevin sat up and crossed one leg over the other, taking his bag off and placing it next to him on the settee.

"My turn?" Kevin suggested, Veronica sat up slightly and everyone looked at him.

"My Dad found out about Joaquin." Kevin stated arrogantly. Betty's eyes widened and she looked at him.

"Seriously??" She exclaimed, Jughead looked at him sensibly and intensely.

"That is not good, Kev. What did he say?" He questioned, Kevin huffed.

"Well, He was okey, especially with my mom there too. Then at the door, my dad cracked it because he told Joaquin to stay away from me and never come here over again.." He sighed, Veronica put her arm around him and paused.

"And he did say that something might come out as they get closer to finding Jason's murderer..." Kevin looked at Jughead.

"Do you think my dad knew Joaquin?" Jughead questioned, Kevin shrugged. "It's a possibility" He answered honestly. Archie looked at Jughead.

"What did your dad say Jug?" Archie asked, now intrigued. Jughead pauses and thought for a moment.

"He just went down to police station and just confessed to Sheriff Keller, I didn't even know he left until I got call from him telling me that my dad was just arrested for murdering Jason Blossom." Jughead put his elbows on his knees and his hands on the sides of his head.

"Wasn't that like early hours this morning?" Betty questioned softly, she held his hand gently. A little smile crept onto Veronica's face and she looked at Kevin.

"If you two aren't dating I'm gonna scream." She told them, Kevin chuckled. "Agreed." Jughead and Betty just smiled, leaving everyone puzzled.

"Yeah, it was" Jughead finally answered Betty's question. Kevin peeled up a little and looked at the pair.

"That explains why my dad wasn't home this morning" He told them, Archie looked to Kevin. "Doesn't your dad always tell you when he's leaving early?" He asked, confused. Kevin nodded.

"All the time. But why wouldn't he tell me?" Kevin questioned, annoyed. Veronica frowned. "Maybe it was about Joaquin..?" She asked, Kevin looked at her.

"I mean, that's probably true Kev" Betty interrupted, he sighed. Suddenly, He got a text.

Kevin looked up to the rest of the group, he twiddled with his fingers slowly.

"I'm meeting up with Jo 3rd period.." He told them, Veronica looked at him. "Kev.. are you sure?" She asked, Kevin nodded slowly and bit his lip.

"Yeah.. we need to talk anyway.." He told her honestly, Betty agreed.

"It's true V, they need to talk this through." She turned to Jughead for his opinion.

"I mean, yeah, sure?" He answered, unsure of what to say. Betty chuckled and he smiled. Kevin gave a light chuckle and the crew went to their first lesson.

"Hey Quinn, where do you wanna go?" Kevin asked through the phone, he had just gotten out of school and was walking with Betty who was desperate to make sure he was okey.

"Uh, I don't mind, where do you wanna go?" He asked, he had just gotten out of school and was walking down with Toni. Kevin smiled slightly.

"Maybe a place near you?" He chuckled, Betty raised an eyebrow.

Joaquin smiled. "Sure, we've got a few cafés nearby which are great, see you soon?"

"Absolutely" Kevin smiled and hung up, Betty looked at him.

"Seriously..?"

"What..?" Kevin turned his head to her, she gave him a small smile.

"Going to the Southside..? Isn't that a bit dangerous?" She questioned, Betty only wanted the best for him, but Kevin disagreed. "I'll be fine" He convinced her with a smile.

Eventually, they got to the end of the road. "Text me when we've got like, 20 minutes of our free period left?" He asked, Betty nodded and started walking back.

"So, tell me about your boyfriend?" Toni teased, Joaquin scoffed.

"He's... amazing.." Joaquin answered honestly and truthfully. Toni chuckled.
"Whatever loverboy.. do you remember what FP told you to do?" She questioned, Joaquin nodded slowly.

"I went round his for dinner.." He started, Toni's eyes widened slightly. "Did you get into his office?" She asked, bouncing slightly with her words, Joaquin shook his head.

"He found out I was a snake by the end of the night, and told me never to see him again. The next day FP confesses to Jason Blossoms murder when-" Joaquin paused, looking to the floor in utter shame.

"When..?" Toni continued, Joaquin sighed.

"He only cleaned up the mess.." Joaquin lied, Toni saw through him and raised an eyebrow. He muttered something before looking up at her.

"we cleaned up the mess.." He told her, honestly and truthfully for once.
