SUNA POV
Why I thought. Why are they living like this?
Once I walked into the room I wanted to cry for them. The room was small. They had loads of books and papers on the floor, probably from all the studying they've been doing. They had clothes stacked in the the corner of the room just laying in the floor. The bunk bed didn't even have a blanket or pillow or bedsheet even. I looked to my side and saw the tiny bathroom. It didn't even have a bathtub or any table space. It was just a small confined box.
The room had a tiny window but since it was dark outside, it didn't provide much light.
"Um make yourself comfortable." Osamu said as he made his way to the small pile of clothes. He took out his PE outfit and just walked to the bathroom to shower.
"Uh Atsumu? Where are the light switches?" I asked.
"Oh we don't really have light. We normally just use our phone flashlight." He says as he unpacks his bag on the floor.
"You guys can sleep on the top bunk." Atsumu says.
I looked over at Sakusa as he watched Atsumu take out all his books trying to dry them. Osamu came out of the shower rather quickly.
"Are you all warm now?" I ask hoping the hot shower would help.
"Uh not really. We don't have hot water." Osamu shrugged.
This was bad. I thought the twins had a perfect life. Clearly I was wrong.
"Um are ya guys okay?" Osamu asked.
"Are you okay? You're the sick one living like this." I say harshly.
Osamu sighed out loud. "I told ya we are fine."
Atsumu walked out of the shower. Sakusa and I were still standing.
"Ya probably don't wanna take a cold shower so why don't ya guys just sleep. We have school tomorrow anyways" Osamu says.
I nod and climb up the latter onto the bunk bed. I knew we were suppose to take care of them but what could we do.
Atsumu was coughing and Osamu was shivering like crazy. I sighed and just sat on the top bunk as I watched the twins. They were trying to dry their books and clothing in the small dark room. After attempting to they gave up and just sat on the floor. They both turned on their phone flashlight and started studying.
"What are you guys doing?! You should be resting not studying" I say. They both looked up at Sakusa and I.
"We told you we are fine. Just sleep and ignore us." Atsumu said.
Now it was Sakusa's turn to tell them off. "No go to sleep now. You won't be able to function"
"Well we've been doing this for a long time now and we can still function." Atsumu snaps back.
"Just go to sleep and ignore us." Osamu spoke up.
"No. We aren't sleeping until you guys sleep." I say and they both sighed.
"Fine we'll sleep now" they said and climbed onto their bed.
I couldn't sleep. My mind was filled with thoughts of the twins. Were they that poor? No, their house was pretty big and when I was walking through the hallway, the house seemed to have a lot of furniture. So why are they living in a prison?
"Hey Samu I think they are asleep." Atsumu whispered.
I was snapped out of my thoughts and listened into their conversation. Sakusa also seemed to be awake as I saw him just lying flat and staring into the ceiling.
"Tsumu yer too loud. Hurry up and move over." Osamu whispered.
There was a lot of shuffling sounds. Then suddenly their phone flashlights were on. I slowly peeked over to see what they were doing. Studying.
Osamu and Atsumu both had really sore throats. It's like they just lived through a drought.
"Tsum tsum... what are we gon do?" Osamu asked Atsumu.
"I don't know..." Atsumu said and started coughing. He was quick to cover his mouth before it made any loud sound.
"I'm so hungry." Osamu whispered.
"Me too Samu but we can't." Atsumu said.
Why couldn't they eat? Didn't they work in a cafe? Were their parents strict?
"TSUMU! We forgot to clean the floor after coming in wet" Osamu suddenly whispered yelled.
"Shut yer trap Samu. Hurry up let's go." Atsumu said and the two of them walked out of the room.
Clean the floor? Were they talking about earlier?
"Those little liars." Sakusa mumbled.
"Let's get to the bottom of this." I whispered back and he nodded. After around twenty minutes the twins came back and started studying. They studied for a long time before they decided to sleep. When the lights turned off I listened to their conversation. There was no way I could sleep.
"Tsumu. I think we should get another job. We don't have enough to pay rent." Osamu said. Isn't this their own house? Why are they paying rent.
"Yer right. Let's go find one over the weekend." Atsumu said.
"Tsumu. Yer bleeding. Did one of your scabs open?" Osamu whispered.
"What really? Hurry and help me patch it."
The twins once again got out of bed. I could here the shuffling around.
As much as I wanted to look over and see what they were talking about, I held on. I wanted to learn as much as I can about them and this was the easiest way. Ease dropping. I know it sounds bad but they don't seem like they want our help nor care about our concerns.
