Andy POV

I woke up Rye was still asleep. It had been a couple days that we have been sharing a bed. I started putting pillows between us at night after Rye feel asleep. I know it sounds dramatic but I had to do it.

I sighed as I got up. I walked down the stairs. I started making breakfast. I put a bagel in the toaster. I waited for it to pop. I started buttering it when I heard a knock at the door.

I opened the door and saw my mom standing there.

" mom hi" I said as I gave her a hug

" hello Andrew" she said smiling

" what are you doing here" I said she looked down then back up at me

" come take a walk with me" she said I nodded.

Nether of us talked for a good thirty minutes. I knew what ever she wanted to talk about was serious so I was giving her time. I realized awhile ago that we didn't know where we were going we just walking.

" you know I love you" she said I looked at her and nodded

" of course mom" I said

" I have always tried to protect you and have made many mistakes by doing so" she said

" what do you mean" I said she looked at me and smiled

" he reminded me of your father and that scared me" she said

" what are you talking about" I said a little bit annoyed

" Ryan is in love with you he always has been but I was scared. I knew he cared about you and I knew that if I could convince him to end things that you would be saved heart ache. That's why he told you he didn't love you" she said I stopped walking staring at her

" I don't understand" I said

" remember when you and him came to my house? Me and him had a conversation. I knew he was scared and when he wouldn't admit that he was in love with you I knew I could convince him to step back" she said

" How could you do that! It's my life I make good decisions" I yelled she looked at me and laughed a little

" really how's Bree" she said I stood there trying to think of something to say back

" I told you she was horrible and you shouldn't be friends with her and you didn't listen and she had hurt you a thousand times! Hell she slept with Rye" she said I looked down

" you're right I should have listened but I have to make mistakes I'm human it's apart of life you have to let me make them." I said she looked at me

" and maybe Ryan was a mistake honestly I don't know maybe we would always be the worst for each other but I will never know now because you destroyed it you ruined it and we will never be able to know we could have made it or if we would have ruined it because you ruined it for us" I said

She had tears going down he face she pulled out her phone. I wonder what she was doing then my phone buzzed I looked at it and saw she had sent me a recording. I looked up at her confusion written all over my face.

" Rye called me on your phone when he did he accidentally called my work number my work phone automatically records phone calls. I just sent you the recording" she said I looked back at my phone

" you're right I need to stop making decisions for you. So it's your choice listen to the phone call or not" she said then kissed my head

" I love you please protect your heart" she said giving me a hug

We headed back to the house when we got to my house she said bye and went back home. The boys asked why she didn't stay longer. I told them because she realized I had to make it in my own.
