I just wanted to say that if you are actually reading this, thank you for even bothering to look at this book. Also, it is the first book I've written so it's not amazing, but I'm trying and I do have an idea of what I want to happen and where I want to go with this story so bare with me! I'm sorry if the introduction isn't amazing but I just wanted to get more into the story so it was written quite fast. Anyway, I hope you enjoy :)

The nerves had started to kick in. Tomorrow you were going to have to start at a new school, in a new country, with a new look. At least no one was going to know you, right?
You had always struggled with anxiety, but had managed to hide it, well you thought you did anyway. To be fair, anyone would be anxious about tomorrow, I mean what if everyone hates you, or they think you look hideous, or you mess up in front of everyone, or you forget how to speak Korean? The last thought was probably the most real fear, although you'd been practicing especially hard for the last year and you already spoke it a bit before, it wasn't your first language and you only had two weeks in Korea to get used to everyone talking in Korean around you.
Stop it you thought to yourself, constantly going over everything in your head again and again wasn't going to help. Not that that stopped your brain from carrying on, but at least you were trying to stop it. Maybe going outside for a walk might clear your head a bit.
"Mum! Dad! Whoever is listening? I'm going out for a bit" you shouted as you were grabbing a hoodie and a beanie before leaving.
"Alright hun, but don't be too late, you have school tomorrow and you need to sleep" Mum shouted from the kitchen.
You threw on your favourite black hoodie with your black beanie so you could attempt to hide your hair that lets face it, really needed to be washed but you were too lazy to do it yet. There wasn't much point trying to hide how you looked, considering it was pitch black outside and who was really going to be hanging about this late at night?
You put one earphone in and put on your favourite playlist on shuffle to help you calm down. 'Artificial love' came on by exo and you couldn't help dancing while walking, it had become your new favourite song. You didn't have both earphones in since you didn't want to risk being kidnapped because you were listening to your favourite songs on full blast and didn't notice someone coming to grab you. So you thought you'd be semi safe by having only 1 earphone in.
You finally arrived at your favourite park, they had street lights on the path but they weren't very bright, you would barely be able to see someone's face if they were next to you.
You sat on the bench in the cool weather just trying to clear your head and focus on the music playing. Music always helped you, especially when you were struggling. Back in England, you didn't exactly have the best of times and music was your only comfort to distract you from going into a dark place. You weren't a particularly musical person, in the sense that you couldn't play any instruments apart from the basics. You just really enjoyed listening to it and the beat of it.
You'd been sat by yourself for the past 15minutes and you were in a world of your own so you didn't notice that there was someone stood right next to your trying to talk to you.
*tap**tap*
You felt someone tapping your shoulder which completely took you out of your trance. You looked up to see a tall figure looking down at you, they mumbled something to you but you had no idea what they were saying.
"Pardon?" you replied, before remembering that you weren't in England. You repeated what you had said, only in Korean since you assumed that the person talking to you was speaking in Korean also.
"I said, can I sit with you? Only you looked lonely and it's pretty late for a girl to be sat out here alone in the dark" The figure said, you assumed he was male since he had quite deep voice and seemed pretty tall.
"Um sure" you replied, feeling slightly uneasy as you had no idea who this person was or what his intentions were. You turned your music off so that you were more aware of what was going on around you.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you, if I did" he said
"Oh, it's fine, I was just listening to my music and I wasn't exactly expecting a random guy to turn up" you laughed it off although you were still pretty cautious.
"What kind of music?" he asked in a sweet voice, you noticed he had very broad shoulders. Definitely not something you would normally notice on someone, but you did on him.
"All sorts I suppose, I kind of just like whatever kind of music"
"Are you from here? You just don't seem it?" Is it that obvious you thought to yourself.
"No, I'm from England" you answered, making sure to pronounce everything properly.
"England?! Oh wow, have you been here for long?" he didn't seem like a creep, he seemed like a genuinely nice person.
"Only two weeks, sorry if my Korean isn't good, I've not had much experience talking to many people on Korean" you replied, you were quite insecure about it actually, you didn't want to be made fun of because you it wasn't your first language, but you knew you couldn't help it.
"You speak it really well, I thought you'd been here for a while" you could tell the boy was smiling but that was it, it was so dark, but the dim light hit the lower park of his face, so you could see his thick lips and the cute smile he was making. The compliment made you smile a lot, and you looked down in embarrassment.
"You have a very pretty smile" he said. Making you smile even more.
However, the heavens decided to open, and pour down with rain. You were about to get absolutely drenched, although you didn't really mind considering you already looked like a tramp. Also, you didn't want to get ill within the first few days of starting school.
"I should go back home, my parents will be worried about me, especially now it's raining" you laughed a little although you were a little bit sad that you have to leave, you were starting to enjoy your time with this person. As you got up to leave, the young man's hand grabbed your wrist.
"Let me walk you back to your place, I would hate to think that something you happened to you. " he said, with a worried voice. You were slightly worried to let him take you home, but you knew that it was probably more dangerous to not let him as you never know what's out there.
"Fine, but no funny business" you said to him, with a serious face, not that he could see you, but the effect was there and you knew it at least.
"Of course, I wouldn't dream ruining this" he chuckled.
On the way back to your house, you carried on with the small talk as he asked how you were finding Korea and how long you'd been learning the language for.
"Well this is me, thank you for walking me back, it was very kind of you" you said to the young man.
"It's fine, by the way, what is your name? I never asked?" he said
"oh, my name is Ivy" you replied.
"Ivy" he said, seeming to process the name.
"a very pretty name for a pretty girl. Well Ivy, I hope that we will meet again some day" he continued and walked away.
You walked into your house being greeted by your mum rushing to you with a towel at hand.
"Oh my God, Ivy your soaked! Come on, let's get you dried up" your mum said while wrapping the towel around you.
After drying up, you got into your Pj's, ready for bed, you put your hair up in a bun so that your hair wouldn't be so hard to wash in the morning.
You had completely forgotten you had school the next day. You also had forgotten to ask what that boys name was. You were determined that you would meet him again and ask for his name, one problem, you didn't know what he looked like. You had only noticed certain parts of him, that he had very broad shoulders, thick lips and a kind personality.
You decided that the best thing to do was sleep, to make sure that you would look half decent for your first day at school. Also, so you wouldn't feel as tired before school.
