Why I think some game creators (Like Scott Cawthon) can be numbskulls

Note: these statements are just my opinion.

When I was 18, the first FNAF horror game was released to the public. I was instantly enamored with its morbid and anxiety provoking themes. Not too long after Bendy and the ink machine dropped, then a few years later, after many fans including myself firmly believed these games had dropped the ball on being scary, a new horror game called Poppy Playtime picked that ball up and ran with it!
Even though most critics agreed its first two chapters weren't scary enough, these people definitely ate their own words when the third chapter was released in January.
Now, since we are quite a ways down the path since this genre became beloved across the globe, I think it's been long enough since their reviews... some good, some bad have had time to settle, and now I am going to state my thought out opinion that a handful of these game developers and creators
(And I'm going to be pointing fingers specifically at Scott Cawthon, sorry if everyone takes offense.)
are silly deep down.
Don't get me wrong, Scott's games have shaped so many peoples lives and passions. Many fanfics and stories I've written were inspired by his game's plot. In order to fully understand what makes this man a fool, you must consider that he's never going to explain the Fnaf storyline to us, and this game's plot is harder to understand than quantum physics.
I for one thought it was very diva-like for him to announce that he was going to release a movie about these games, as early as 2016.
He then hired Gil Kenan, a famous Horror Director who fun fact, directed the 2006 PG rated horror film, Monster House.
I mean, come on! Spoiler alert the plot of Monster House is basically about a spirit possessing an old house and being able to control everything on the property, if that's not WAY too similar to Fnaf's hauntings, I don't know what is!

Then after Scott threw out the original script because
"He didn't like the way he'd written it anymore"
He then kicked out Gil and got another Director, and after THAT script and new recruit fell through, he finally announced that Blumhouse was going to finish the movie.
Listen I loved the film, but I agree with most critics, it could've been scarier, considering the games had attracted a target audience of older teenagers... people who were DEFINITELY older than 13.
I'm going to take sides with every YouTube personality that has stated most horror game creators tend to promise their fans that the games are longer and scarier than the last, getting everyones hopes up only to then let them down when the games that they specifically sold the rights to, take MUCH longer to develop than the initial release date
(Which they made a point of slapping on the official trailers)
and end up being bugged and not that scary.
In all honesty, they should have finished making most of these games years ago, but for the sake of money, they milked the franchise until it had no life energy left.
These cautionary tales of indie games have been fried to the point that their original plotline and morals are unrecognizable.
I just hope and pray the indie horror game franchise newcomers like Mob and UniqueGeese who've seen these older creators take too long and try too hard to please everyone, only to see their sales diminish and their game reputations ever so slightly tarnished, have made notes as to how they want their games to go, and how much effort and time they've set aside for creating fantastic lore.

Again, I sincerely apologize if anyone who has read this took offense to my statements about these video game stories that shaped many childhoods, this was all just my opinion, it's up to YOU to decide what's right and what's wrong.
