"This is Adrien's future wife," Gabriel told her, detransforming and giving me my miraculous back.

Mrs. Agreste blinked a few times, her familiarly sweet green eyes widened. "But I thought Chloe was blonde," she whispered to Gabriel.

He looked at me helplessly and I looked at her with horror, then Mrs. Agreste bursted out in laughter. "You guys should've seen your faces! You were all like- awkward moment- and he was all like, 'What do I say? She's right there!' Pfft!"

I laughed nervously, as Gabriel did as well.

"Well I hope I didn't ruffle your feathers too much or make you feel hawk-ward! It's nice to meet you, Miss-" she laughed kindly, in a similar fashion to Adrien. Gabriel groaned at the puns as he left the room to get Adrien.

"I'm Marinette Dupain-Cheng. It's nice to meet you, Mrs. Agreste! Your son, he's so... amazing," I held out my hand for a shake, but was given a tight unexpected hug instead.

"It's great to meet you, Marinette! Call me Tara! Now tell me, is he being a gentleman?" She asked me, releasing me from the hug.

"For sure! In fact, the day after I met him he gave me an umbrella so I wouldn't have to walk home in the rain. That's the day I started to develop a crush on him," I explained as I felt a heat grow within my cheeks, remembering the day I learned of Adrien's kindness.

"That's great! You look sweeter than a cherry pie! He'd better marry you in the future!" She laughed, causing me to blush harder at the thought of marrying my crush.

As soon as she heard the door open, she bursted like a rocket to hug her son and bury him in motherly love. I heard Adrien's emotional laugh as he remembered the familiarity of feeling family love.

"There you are, my little Doudou Prince!" Mrs. Agreste's voice rang out, causing Adrien to groan a little. I giggled at her nickname for him, as Gabriel laughed along.

"You know, she calls him that because when he was a baby-" Gabriel began to explain to me, but Adrien smacked a hand over his mouth, and looked at me with a nervous laugh.

"I'm sorry about that, Marinette. If you feel uncomfortable, just let me know," Adrien told me, holding a hand over Gabriel's mouth, to which he plucked off annoyedly.

"No, I'm fine! I'm actually enjoying this, Doudou Prince," I smirked at him, to which he blushed wildly.

"I call a family dinner! With Miss Marinette, of course!" Mrs. Agreste announced, including me as well. The four of us descended from the attic.

"Gabriel, why is everything painted one color?! Also why does our staircase look so depressing?! What happened to all the happiness and bright colors we had?!" Mrs. Agreste yelled loudly at her husband.

"You died," Gabriel answered shortly.

"I don't recall that, but even if I had died, why is everything so dull around here?! Why is there a painting of you looking like an uptight butthead and my little kitten looking sad?!"

"Again, you died," he replied.

"What right does that give you to be so mean to our little baby?!!" Mrs. Agreste screeched, grabbing Adrien in her arms.

"I know, Father!" Adrien fell back into his mother, hugging her innocently as Gabriel shook his head at him.

"Apologize to my little baby boy!" She demanded.

"Adrien, I apologize," he said with a sigh.

"For..." Mrs. Agreste said, sending him a glare as she expected him to continue his apology.

"For being a rude butthead," Gabriel continued.

"I accept your apology," Adrien stated as Mrs. Agreste giggled.

"Now let's have dinner! What does Marinette like? Pasta? Pizza? I say we order a pizza! Is everyone okay with that?" She asked the three of us.

"That sounds great! Thank you!" I replied happily.

"What about my strict diet regiment?" Adrien asked innocently.

"What the heck is that? You're perfect just the way you are! Gabriel, did you put my baby boy on a diet?" She asked him with a glare.

"Momma's boy," Gabriel muttered to Adrien, to which he smirked in reply.

"Pizza it is!" She picked up the phone and called it in.

We all chatted for a while, as Mrs. Agreste continued accusing Gabriel of many things. Adrien and I kept talking to one another about things. When I brought up my friendship problem with Alya, Adrien's mother couldn't help but give me input.

"Wait, what's the problem with your best friend?" She asked me.

"Well, when I revealed my superhero identity, she was a huge fan, so it changed what she thought of me. Instead of calling me by my name or treating me like she used to, she only began calling me by the name, Ladybug, and getting overly excited every time she saw me. I tried to tell her how I felt, but she wouldn't hear a word of it. She compared me to celebrities and became very excited whenever she saw me. It's just, I felt like I lost myself with my superhero identity after revealing, and I guess this is why I never should've done it," I poured my story out to her as she listened intently.

"Ladybug is powerful, so that means you are too. Whatever you, Marinette, choose to say or do to her will greatly impact her. You're her best friend, and deep inside, she still knows it too. Go out there and shut her mouth, tell her how you've been feeling. If you can't face her, leave a note. I guarantee she will read it like ten times," Tara advised me, giving me hope. I turned to Adrien and he nodded.

"That's a... actually a really great idea! I'll leave a note at her house, telling her how I feel! Thank you so much, Mrs. Agreste!" I thanked her with a smile. The doorbell rang.

"Hey, you can call me Tara. I should be calling you Mrs. Agreste. I'm your future mother-in-law," Tara smirked at Adrien and I, leaving the both of us red in the face as she went to answer the door for the pizza.
