*Once again, I didn't come up with most of these amazing arguments.*
i. Steven King openly stated: "Harry potter is about confronting your fears, finding your inner strength and doing what is right in the face of adversity. Twilight is about how important it is to have a boyfriend."
ii. Robert Pattinson admitted that he'd rather play Cedric from Harry Potter instead of Edward Cullen.
iii. In the end, Harry vanquished the death eaters and Voldemort while the Cullens and the other vampires just talked it out with the Volturi and let an innocent vampire die.
IV. And sorry twilight fans a vampire that sparkles in the sun is NOT attractive.
V. The Harry Potter fans grew up with the characters, thus creating a strong bond with its audience.
VI. I know Stephanie Meyer stated that only a werewolf or another vampire could kill her vampires. Twilight fans seem to like that argument but in Harry Potter they have something called the elder wand. So now all I have to say to that argument is; "AVADA KEDAVRA!"
VII. Harry leaves Ginny for her own protection so she devotes her time to getting stronger. When Edward leaves Bella she goes into a depressed state for like six months...and then jumps off a cliff...
VIII. And also Twilight fans seems to bring the fact up that Edward can read minds well you should take a tip from professor Snape: "the mind is not a book to be opened at will and examined at leisure." Harry Potter also has Sybill Trelawney that can predict the future like Alice Cullen but werewolves don't restrict Trelawney's vision of the future. And they have the Crucio Curse which is like Jane Volturi's power and more.
IX. Harry Potter actually allows you to fall in love with the person's personalities instead of binding you with visions of "perfect looks."
X. Harry potters least successful movie which is 'Prisoner of Azkaban'
made ninety million more dollars than Twilight's most successful movie.
XI. And honestly who's a better villain Voldemort or Aro?!
XII. Harry sacrificed himself to save the world. Edward sacrificed himself to... Oh no, he just wanted to die because he thought Bella was dead.
XIII. Fred and George Weasley are legendary in comic relief. That can't be compared to anyone in twilight.
XIV. I am Lord Voldemort=Tom Marvolo Riddle! There was time, effort and creativity put into the names in Harry Potter. Whereas in Twilight, the names don't have deep meaning except Bella Swan (beautiful swan) and Amun (the hidden one).
XV. S.M. has took so many ideas from other books and throw them all together making it her own. Like "Cirque Du Freak" for example; it was published in the 2000's and it explained in the book that there vampire's teeth are so strong they didn't need fangs to penetrate a human's body. The first Twilight book was released in 2005. Also, she copied the concept of Romeo and Juliet, using the forbidden love idea that so many other authors have used.
XVI. Twilight also copied Harry Potter. James Potter and James, Harry Clearwater and Penelope Clearwater, Marcus Volturi and Marcus Flint, Charlie Weasley and Charlie Swan, and there is more. This is not Harry Potter, but there's also a character in Cirque du Freak named Arrow, who is also "vampire royalty."
XVII. Twilight depicts a superficial, shallow and highly unrealistic representation of love. Whereas Harry Potter shows there's more than a romantic kind of love. Like there's love in friends who stayed loyal to you through good and bad, there's love in people who except you for you, and finally, there's love in family. Bella ditches her father to go to Italy for a guy she's met like a year ago.
XVIII. Rosalie Cullen's backstory is basically taken straight from "I Spit On Your Grave."
XIX. J.K created her own world while staying true to ancient beliefs and mythological animals.
*These are a few of my favourite reasons, but if I missed any of yours, you can add them in the comments."
