"Do something, Papa. Chet is breaking the engagement."

"Tumigil ka muna diyan, Cindy. I have bigger problems than you. Idinedemanda niya tayo ng fraud. Tinutulungan siya ngayon ni JC Escudero."

" Pero malukusutan mo yan di ba?"

" Kung may ebidensiya sila laban sa akin. Pero sabi ko naman kay Ching na idadamay ko siya laban sa anak niya."

" Hindi mo.magagawa yan kasi wala naman yatang pinirmahan si Ching na deal eh. Si Chester ang may ari ng kompanya nila at si Cheston ang nakalagay na heir. Di mo ba nakita yun ha?"

" Malay ko ba na si Chester at Cheston lang may ari nun."

" Mama, Papa, pano yan si Chet ayaw na niya sa akin."

" Cindy, matagal nang umaayaw si Chet sa iyo, di mo ba napapansin? Obviously ayaw niya sa iyo. Di ka man lang niya hawakan. Yang tatay mo lang kasi matigas ang ulo."

" Pa..."

" Cindy, pwedw ba. Kung gusto mo puntahan mo si Vheston at makiusap ka sa kanya. Ask him to help me and drop the case."

" Hindi ba pwede attorney na ikaso siya for failure to fulfill a promise to marry. Meron yun di ba?"

" Meron. Pero pwede din niyang sabihin na tinakot niyo siya."

" Pero pwedeng violation of the law yun di ba? Ano ang parusa yung promise to marry?"

" Babayaran lang ang nagastos. Tapos babayaran kanniya for a reputation na nasira. Pero kailangan din natin i prove na gusto kaniyang pakasalan."

" Cindy tama na yan"

" Ano gagawin ko?"

" If you want to help your family, kausapin mo si Cheston and tell him na papayag ka nang hindi kayo pakasal iurong lang ang demanda. L"

" Di ba trabaho mo yam, attorney?"

" Oo. Pwede kong sabihin sa kanila kung yun ang gusto niyo."

" No!"

" Cindy, hindi lang si Cheston ang lalaki sa mundo."

" Kayo ang may kagagawan nito eh. It's all your fault. "

"Tama na yan, Cindy. You are way out of line now."

"Chet, The Tans want a deal."

"What is the deal, Sir?"

"They will return all the assets of your dad in the pretext that they will re sell it to you back everything that they took. AND no  need to marry Cindy, unless you are really in love with their daughter. That's according to the lawyer. It was also in paper."

 The papers and agreement were penned finally after a week. CIndy tried to call me several times to tell me that she will sue me, etc., etc., etc. But her father published in the papers that the engagement is over. He told the media when he was asked that it was both our decision and that we, Cindy and I have remained  friends. Cindy is now telling everyone that she was really not in love with me. That she just went on with tradition but actually do not love me. SOme people are asking me kung naka move on na ako kasi daw ako ang habol ng habol. I just smile at them. Alangan namang sabihin ko na nagsisinungaling si Cindy. So pinabayaan ko na lang.

Lee is coming home today. Break nila sa school. I have been going back and forth sa UK to visit her. And I am so excited that she is coming home. The last time I saw her in person was two months ago. Naging busy ako sa negosyo. And my dad is recovering. My uncles are back in the company doing the stuff  that used to do when Dad was the boss. I asked them to woirk with me again and they also agreed. They are now part of the Part of Directors. Mom is at home taking care of Dad. Minsan nag aaway pa din kami pag ipinapakilala ako sa mga anak ng mga kaibigan niya. Pero  think she realized na mali siya siya when she got into a partnership with the Tans. 

One day she even asked me kung gusto ko daw ba makipag date sa anak ni Atty Escudero. She said na nagkita daw sila sa saloon ni Mrs Anna Escudero. All praises si Mom. Tapos she showed daw my picture to her and Anna showed the picture of Lee too. Now Mom keeps pestering na puntahan ko daw si Lee Escudero pag nakauwi na siya from UK. 

She kept saying na si Lee daw ganito ganyan. Sabihan ko sana siya na wrong siya sa ibang details. Pag uwi ni Lee, ipapakilala ko siya kay Mom. Sabihin ko na naunahan ko na actually siya. Hahahaha

She told me na hindi naman talaga siya interesado kung sino pero kailangan ko daw ang hindi malulula sa assets ko. Kasi daw masisira siya dun. Yun lang naman daw ang gusto niya. SOmeone totake care of me and love and knows how to take care of the business too. Hindi yung nga nga lang. Natatawa talaga ako sa kanya. Minsan hindi na ako umuuwi ng maaga or aalis na ako ng sobrang aga para hindi ako kulitin tungkol kay Lee. 

One day Mom.

Delayed ba ang flight? Ang tagal nama.

"I'm here."

Shit, kanina pa ba tong text na to? Ah hndi. I got off my car and went to her. I saw her . Parang pumayat siya. Is she sick? Para siyang may sakit. Pero maganda pa din ang girlfriend ko, este fiancee pala.  She walked to me and I walked briskly t her. I hugged her pag lapit ko pa lang sa kanya.

"I miss you, Baby."

"I missed you too."

"I miss you, i miss you i miss you. I love you."

"Hahahahaha tama na, nag ko cause na tayo ng traffic oh."

"Tara."

Natural nandun pa din ang mga bodyguards namin. Pero sa kabilang cars na sila. They took her stuff na sabi niya iuwi na nila kina Lee. She said may pag uusapan daw muna kami. Excited na worried din naman ako. Ano ang pag uusapan namin> Hihiwalayan ako? Cool off? Kasi yun yung sinabi niya sa akin nung last time na mag usap kami. Pero buti na lang at nasuyo ko din siya noon. Ano na ulit yung pinag awayan namin? Kasi nakatulog ako habang kausap siya. Yun lang naman ang ayaw niya lately. Gusto niya video call all the time. Gusto niya tumatawag ako all the time. Masyado siyang demanding lately. Baka kasi nagseselos? Pero the thing with Cindy has been last year pa. 

Funny thing nga was, we almost got caught by Franco. Kasi Lee came to the office with her Dad. So we were all in the lift going to my office. Siyempre naka holding hands kami ni Lee sa likod ng daddy niya. Then pumasok si Franco sa elevator and almost saw our hands. Buti that time hindi naka lean sa akin si Lee. Most of the time kasi kahit nandiyan daddy niya or mommy niya, nakakapit lang sa akin. Eh that time, she checked her hair sa wall ng elevator, tamang tama pumasok si Franco. At yung kamay namin nasa likod ng Daddy niya so hindi nakita. Hindi naman ako natatakot pero, ayoko lang na masumbatan niya si Lee at sasapakin ko talaga siya. 

"What are we going to talk about, Baby> Where do you wanna go?"

"Sa condo mo."

"Natin?"

"Hahahaha oo. Something's wrong?"

"Hmmmm hindi naman siguro."

"Siguro?"

"Later na."

So to make a very long story short, nakarating din kami. I grabbed her and hugged her. I kissed her. Hindi naman siya pamapalag. She even kissed me the same way ng paghalik ko sa kanya. So hindi kami maghihiwalay? O ano? But I saw my ring on her. I asked her to marry me when I was in London and she said yes. Pero ano?

"So, Baby, what is it?"
