Last weekend, we bumped into each other. Literally bumped into each other. When I looked at him, there was sadness in his eyes. Di ko maexplain yung feeling na malapit siya. He's the only guy who was able to really hold me close. Yung isa si Franco, my absentee boyfriend. Nasan kaya yun? He said, he is in his office. The secretary said, he was in a meeting. I have no time waiting for him, lalo na pag pinagtitinginan nila ako dun.

Franco is Francisco Buenaventura. Heir to Buenaventura  Builders. When he became a part of their company, naging busy na siya. He said he loves me pero parang hindi na. ZA AZ a, he is the only heir of his family and had to take over their business when his Dad had an accident. It said that he is  twenty five years old. But he does look younger than twenty five.

"Did you bring a car?"

"My driver is picking me up. Nagpa gas lang siya."

"Pauwiin mo na siya."

"Huh?"

"Eh di ba, we're going to get coffee and chocolate? Gusto mo siya isama?"

" We can go there separately."

" And when one gets stuck in the traffic, maghihintayan tayo? If you want we can go meet him and tell him you are coming with me."

" Ha? Huwag na. Tatawagan ko na siya. Demanding ka ano?"

" Practical lang."

And he smiled that Chinoy smile that I find so cute. Hindi siya drop dead gorgeous but ang lakas ng dating. And he's sexy. And tall.

Franco is not so tall. 5'8 lang siya. Handsome naman. Tisoy. Maputi and businessman ang type ng body niya. He does not drink nor smoke but he has some love handles pag I wrap my arms around him. We always planned to hit the gym but he's always busy and I live in England. We have been together for two years now. Mom is okay lang with the relationship  but Dad is not. He always tell me, to study muna bago makipag boyfriend.

"So, gusto mo ba pumasok or drive thru na lang"

"San tayo ba kasi pupunta?"

"Let's go to Tagaytay."

" Ha? Ang layo nun,"

" At least walang makakakilala sa atin. I'm sure ayaw mo mag explain bakit tayo magkasama."

"Kaso tagaytay?"

" Don't worry di ako rapist or mamammatay tao. Hahaha"

" Look how I'm dressed. Maginaw kaya dun."

" Sa car lang naman tayo. Don't worry, may jacket naman ako diyan. you can use it. Tsaka hindi mabaho. Mabango."

I looked at him. Desperate siya na pumayag ako sa plano niya. Since di naman ako napapansin sa house kung nandun ako, okay naman na siguro. Tsaka hindi naman talaga siya mukhabg rapist.

"Bakit ba kasi ang gusto mong isama sa road trip mo?"

"Wala akong best friend, kaya ikaw na ang gagawin kong best friend ko. Alam ko wala ka din best friend."

" Wala nga."

" See that! So tayo na mag best friend."

" Ano naman gagawin ko bilang bestfriend?"

" Wala,makikinig ka lang sa problemma ko. Sa mga nasa puso at utak ko. Kasi kung walang makikinig sa akin baka malugi business namin. Hahahaha"

" So, what do I get if i agree?"

" Eh di, guapong bestfriend. And you get to drive my car."

" Your car? This car?"

" And my other cars"

" Okay ah. Pero, do i get to share your money too?"

" Sure, why not."

And he took his wallet and threw it to me."

"Baliw. I was just joking. Desperado ka nga. Bakit ba kailangn mo ng best friend?"

" I just got engaged without me knowing it. I disagreed of course, pero lintik na tradisyon na yan, ayaw i stop ng Nanay ko."

" Engaged ka na?"

" Oo. I a announce na bukas."

" Maganda ba siya? "

" Oo. Pero di ko siya mahal."

" Pero, mahal ka ba niya?"

" Di ko alam at wala ako pakialam."

" Ang harsh mo huh!"

" Di ko siya mahal."

And he was sad all of a sudden. Pareho lang kami. Walang pakialam mga magulang namin.
