Irene's POV

I woke up feeling someone caressing my face. I smiled knowing who it is.

"Don't stare too much. You might get sick of it, I don't want that." I snuggled closer to her. She laughs.

"I love you." Haha

"That's so random." I said.

"I just want to make sure, last night wasn't a dream."

"I love you too." I kissed the skin closest to my lips.

She pulled me even closer to her and hug me tighter.

"Bear, I can't breath." She loosens.

"This okay?" She asks.

"Yes."

"Can I ask about that pact now?" I smiled. She's been really curiosious about that.

"It wasn't really a pact, Seul. More a like a promise. A promise that wasn't even needed in the first place, because I was already in love with you then. I never thought of settling with anyone else but you." I said. "I didn't mind you forgetting about it. I got you beside me and that's always what matters more."

"I must say though, a part of me wanted you to remember. I wouldn't have been frustrated every time you deny anything, when I know what you truly feel. I could've had the random I love yous sooner."

"I'm sorry." I scoff and pull away a little to make me see her. I smiled, assuringly.

"It's not like you chose to forget about it. You're---" we all of a sudden heard a knock on my bedroom door.

"Joohyun? Seulgi?" My manager was heard behind it. I look up to Seulgi.

"What time is it?" I ask.

"Nine..."

"Shoot!" I automatically stand up.

"Do you have a schedule today?" Seulgi ask. I look at her and nodd.

"I have a script reading."

"You're having a new drama?" Right. I haven't told her yet.

"My last." I said with a smile. She was surprised by it. 

"Joohyun? Did you forgot what day it is?" Unnie said. 

"I'm already awake. Let me get ready first." I shouted, then I heard nothing again. 

"Your last?" I heard Seulgi said. 

"Yes. It's time." It's time I focus on myself now. 

"You're still in your thirties Hyun." She got off the bed. "Are you really retiring this early?" 

"10 years is enough years already." I have I went closer to her and give her a peck before running my way to my bathroom. 

"Hyun!" she called but I just close the bathroom door. 

I did my routine and got myself ready. Seulgi and Unnie was already settled in the kitchen, talking. 

"Unnie!" I excitedly called her. "I've got good news!" I exclaimed. They look at me both. 

"You look so happy. This is new." Unnie said looking at me amused. She looks over to Seulgi. "What happened?" She asks her. Seulgi gives her and I-don't-know look.

"She's excited to retire?" Seulgi unsurely said. 

"You know about it already?" Unnie asks her.

"Hmm" She nod. "She just told me. What do you think about it, unnie?" I scoff as she ask my manager that. 

"Well, I've been waiting for her to do that. I guess it's good." Seulgi look at her confused. 

"If she quits you will lose your job." She said. 

"Not really. I'll still be her assistant." My manager said. "Sadly, I'm stuck with her. Good thing I'm highly paid." I can tell that confuses Seulgi even more. Unnie face me. "So what was your good news? Are you two finally together?" My eyes widen at her guess. 

"How did you know?" Seulgi asks. She look over to her in shock.

"Really?! Finally!" She said. "You two are dumb for not putting a label for years, when you're literally acting like a couple already." She face me. "No wonder you look extra happy" I chuckled. 

"Very." I went over to Seulgi and give her a kiss her on the cheek. "Unnie and I have to go."

"You need to eat first." She said, worriedly. 

"We'll buy take out on the way. Right unnie?" Unnie nodded. 

"I won't let your girlfriend starve herself." Girlfriend. 

"I trust you unnie." She said. "What time will you finish? Can you make it to dinner?"

I face unnie waiting for her signal.

"We don't know about that Seul." Unnie said.

"Oh okay."

"Sorry." I said. It's just that, these things usually takes time.

"It's fine. I'll just go to my place to get some things, while you're away." She said.

"Do you want us to stay at your place tonight or..."

"I'll comeback here." She said.

"Okay. Message me." She nodded.

"You too." She then pulled me in a hug.

"You two, that's enough. You're becoming more clingy towards each other, now that you're finally together."  Seulgi let go and I glared at unnie. "What? We're gonna be late." I just sigh.

"I'll see you later."

"See you."

"Okay that's really enough." This time she decided to pull me away from Seulgi.

"Take care." That's the only words that I heard before unnie dragged me out of the house.

"Unnie!" I whined.

"You're whining now that you have a girlfriend?" She said walking ahead first.

"She's my girlfriend now unnie. Can you believe that?" I said catching up to her.

"I do and I'm happy for you. I've never seen you so happy, but you have to tone it down a little." We entered the elevator. "You have a different image that you need to maintain when you're out. If people suddenly see changes, they will get curious and we don't want that. You being so happy now, let's not let it show publicly. Okay?" She's right.

"Unnie, you must've forgot that I'm an actress." I said confidently exiting the elevator, changing my demeanor.

"I know that but the happiness that you always get from Seulgi, it's something that naturally comes out on you even when you're in the act." She said. "Look at what happened at that award show. How much more now that you're beyond happy? I mean I can't blame you, you're just in love."

"Don't worry. I will act the way I always do." I enter the car she always drives every time we have a schedule.

"Let's see about that." Unnie said it like a challenge.

When we were at the venue already, I received a lot of signals and nudges from unnie. God!

"Give me your phone." She whispered. I look up to her.

"Why?"

"You've been smiling looking at it for a while now. Everyone's staring at you." I look around and some of the staffs and artists avoided eye contact with me.

"Mianhe" I apologetically smiled at her and slowly give her my phone.

I just got added on the girls' group chat and they've been talking a whole lot, maybe that's the reason I couldn't stop myself.

"I'm sorry, I'm late." A man's voice came in.

He took the seat across me. I eyed him, continuing to apologize to everyone, until our eyes meet. She bowed.

"I'm sorry for the wait." I smiled at him, I can tell he was surprised by it. 

"It's fine." I said before looking back down at the script.

"Since everyone's here now, let's start." The director said.

It took us hours, with breaks of course, before we're actually done for the day.

After the reading I went directly to unnie to ask for my phone. Unnie just shakes her head and sighed.

"I guess this will be a good change." Unnie said to me. "You're finally interacting with everyone."

"Are you telling me that I'm a snob before?" I questioned.

"You're not. You were just expressionless when talking to other people." She said. "Considering this will be your last work, let's make this memorable." I scoff.

"Ooh! You're gonna miss working like this?"

"I will actually, but I love being in the office more. The entertainment industry is a headache, there's so much to control." She said.

"At least you'll miss it."

"How about you?" I smiled and shook my head.

"Not really. No." She laughs.

"You really are crazy for doing this." Maybe I am.

"Irene." Someone spoke behind me. I turn to face the person.

"Suho."

"It's a great pleasure to be working with you on this project." He bowed. I did the same.

"I feel the exact same." He then handed me a paper bag. I look at it.

"It's cookies." I look around and I see others have ones too. So I accepted it.

"Thank you." I said.

"Let's all work well together." He then excuse himself.

"Isn't he part of EXO?" Unnie ask.

"Yes." I said focusing back on my phone, I need to check if Seulgi's home already.

"You trained long in that company. You never bump into each other before?"

"I came to the company when they already debuted. Seulgi. She was able to train with them."

"I thought we're going to silence someone again." I scoff.

"Unnie! You're making it sound like we're out here killing someone who recognizes me from before." I said and look up to her. "Take me home already, my girlfriend is waiting for me."

"Can you lower your voice? Someone might hear you." She called me out. "Let's go." I just smiled and followed her.

We bid goodbyes and say thank you as we leave the place.

"Why do you think that company let an EXO member accept a project with you?" Unnie asks while driving. It caught my attention. "You just realized it too, didn't you?"

"Yeah." Why didn't I think of that? I sigh. "Well, we can't back out now. Let's just be professional and I don't know... expect something." I said.

We arrive at my place. I was about to exit the car already when unnie spoke.

"The cookies." She reminded me with a teasing tone. I shook my head.

"Give them to your niece. As much as I want to bring it to Seulgi, that bag's suspicious now." I stare at its personalized design. I'm exiting at my place's lobby and not the parking. I'm usually photographed here, can't risk it.

"Seulgi would've love it." She said.

"I can bake some for her." Unnie laughs.

"Go now. She must've been sleepy already, waiting for you." I nod and said my goodbye.

I entered my place carefully. 

"Hyun?" Seulgi came to my view with an apron on.

"Oh. Look at you." She looks cute. "What are you making?" 

"I baked cookies. You want some?" Cookies? HAHA

"I do." I greeted her with a hug. 

We walk our way to the kitchen. 

"4 minutes more." She checks the timer. "Did you eat dinner already?" I took the seat on the island stool

"Not yet. Did you?" 

"I did. Wait. I'll just cook something for you." She said and look over to the fridge. 

"Thank you." She turn to face me with a smile.

"How did the script reading go?" She asks with her back facing me. "What kind of drama is it?" 

"Romcom." She automatically face me, that's where I laugh. "You're at it again. Stop asking questions that makes you jealous." 

"Is it really romcom?" I shook my head. 

"No, but there's definitely a love interest." I said. I see her pout before turning back and focus on what she was doing. 

"Are there kissing scenes?" I smiled. She never asks these things before, she just discovers them when watching the shows already. I know she didn't like it and just stayed silent before. 

"There is one. Do you want me to ask them to remove it?" I ask. 

"No, it's fine. It's work." She said. I sneakily grab my phone and texted unnie.

The sound of the timer suddenly went off. 

"Let me." I stand up from the stool. She's cooking food already. 

I got the cookies out from the oven. "This looks good. Since when do you bake?" 

"I was in a call with Seungwan before you got here." 

"I bet this tastes good too." I said and pick up piece, but that wasn't a good idea. "Aw!"

"Hyun! You just got it from the oven!" Next thing I know she's in front of me already. She shake her head. "You're becoming clumsy now." 

"Look who's talking." I said. She's the most clumsy of us all. 

"Go back to your seat. I'll be the one to serve food to you."

"You're becoming too caring now." I said as I walk my back to the stool. She eyed me. I just smiled at her. 

After a few minutes she serve food in front of me. 

"How am I going to finish all that?" I look up to her in disbelief. 

"I will be eating with you. I got hungry, cooking it." I laugh. 

"You're unbelievable." I said before pulling the other stool closer to me. She look at me. "I need you close." 

She took the seat. When she met my stare she smiled and leaned over to kiss me on my cheek. 

"Stop staring." She said. "You're making me feel things." 

"Well, isn't that good?" I raised my brows. She then cup my chin and made me look down at the food. 

"Why don't you eat first, before teasing me. Hmm?" I can't help but smile.

"You caught it now. You don't mind it before." I said. 

"I was in denial." She said. "Now I can freely express intentions like you have been doing." I scoff.

"Oh really now?" I questioned. 

"Hyun... The food will get cold." She said. 

"I'm hungry for other things now." I notice her pause in taking a bite. 

"Hyun." She said it in a warning tone. 

"I'm kidding." I then pick up my cutlery. 

I love getting this new reactions from her.
