"Oh ho! So you do speak." That look he gave me. I just wanted to bite my tongue. "Nothing, you freak! Do what you want to me, I'm not scared! You got my name so put me back into that cage of yours! At least it's more comfortable then THIS!" He sighed, probably not meaning any harm. "Poison Mushrooms." "W-Wait, what?" "Yeah, yah heard. Poison Mushroom substance, or so what junior said he used to make you sleep." I tucked my knees near my head, feeling confused. Why is he nice to me? He's THE Devil's right hand man! But then again, Mario was a big jerk to his brother. Maybe there was two sides to a coin. "You know I could give ya more freedom around the castle? Just trust me on this, I don't want to lose my job nor be on your bad side. If I wasn't the Devil's lackey, I would be with my family... J-Just hop up, I could teach ya to ride one of my cards." I turned my head to see a more softer side to King Dice. Being this small, he could crush me, but he didn't. I stood up from the glass as he tipped it to the side, letting me slide down gently and land on the wooden table. Three cards glided to me; the 3 of hearts, Ace of Spades, 10 of diamonds; and they were all just about my height. With a gloved finger, King dice guided me onto one of the cards which lay down, like a sleigh. "Hold on here. And once you want to fly, just pull up." My hands glided upon the card, soft but stiff, perfect for tricks. My hands grasped onto the edge and softly pulled it towards me, making it levitate just a bit. It was incredible! Slowly, I lent to the left to move off the table, Dice head giggling to himself at my happiness.

Once I got comfortable, I zoomed through the halls, hearing Dice's voice as I went. Was that a warning? A call to wait for him? Whatever it was, I was too thrilled to slow down. Zooming over Goombas, Koopas and little minions, it was indescribable! The red didn't bother me anymore and the castle seemed more joyful. Accidently, I made a turn to the right back to the room of the Devil. King Dice didn't teach me to stop! I zoomed around uncontrollably, crashing into objects and dodging the hands of Bowser and Mr Devil. Looking around, I was heading straight to the orb before BOOM! A hard staff hit the back of my card, causing me and the card to fall onto the hard ground. My ears ringed but I was sure I was still alive. My body ached too much to move leaving me defenceless to the Devil's touch. The furry hand picked me up, almost crushing me in his anger, "KING DICE!! WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?!!" The purple suit man appeared at the door, looking at me with disbelief, "Look, Devil. It was a mistake-" "A MISTAKE, hu?" He looked around seeing his card on the ground, dizzy and confused. Devil picked it up with the same force as me, "Do you call this, a mistake?! They could have gotten their gem back!" I'm throwing myself under the bus for a Bad guy here, but after that 'chat' - or what I would call it - I had to say something. I couldn't sit and see this happen. "I-It's not his fault! If you're going to do something, h-hurt me!" The Devil laughed, but when I looking at Bowser, that lizard had something different. "How sweet. King Dice, you actually made friends with the human -" "Boss, their name is Y/N." "Oh! So they did speak to you?" He shifted his eyes back at me, squeezing until I yelp. "That's just great." He opened my cage back open, throwing me back in, making the back of my head bash onto the cold bars. "I expect you to answer my questions the next time we met then. Come on you good for nothing slacker, we need to talk... In private." Poor Dice. My curiosity took the better of me. They left the room, leaving me with Bower Jr and the big guy himself. "So, Y/N. What did you do to piss the big guy off?" "NOTHING!! I was flying around on the card, not even focusing on the orb." Junior wagged some cards in front of his dad, "Dad! Dad! Mr Dice taught me some games! Oh, Go Fish! Let's play, let's play!" Bowser laughed, allowing his son to deal the cards. He acted like I wasn't even there but at times he would talk to me. "You know, Y/N. Our home, the Mushroom Kingdom. It's a distraction of colours to blind you of the real villain." Heh, hard to believe. "The Goombas, Koopa Troopas, all my little minions were all outcasts of society and that included Myself. Little Junior here, his mother was amazing but little did I know, they were the princess." From a curled ball on the ground, I lifted my head to listen more carefully. "She hid it all so well with a special item - I-I don't remember what but - that turned her part reptilian like me. I wished she didn't have to leave me. We could have been a, a family." "Dad? Is that why-?" He nodded, "You mistook the princess for your real mother? Yes. Devastated for you, I created sibling copies of our DNA, the Koopalings. They aren't your real brothers and sister but it's good enough. Whatever I do, it's just for my son." I lay back down, thinking about the games I've played, the point of view the players have been given. Was it the right story? "Oh and Y/N? Being a 'player', make sure you get both stories before saying one side is bad while the other is good. Okay?" I rested my head back onto my hands, taking what happened today all in. The bad guys are good, well, expect for the Devil. And they're treating me with respect and kindness, well, most of the time. Maybe they have something deeper? I just need to stick around.

NO ONE'S POV
*Megalomania intensifies* "What's wrong ghost? Ya afraid to die again?!" The room was filled with bones, cuts and ink. Y/N's Mum was scared in the corner of the room with Mugman while Bendy and Cuphead tried to stop Spooky and Sans from fighting. The poor demon was already full of cuts and bruises, unable to defend himself and turn into the Devil Swing. "C-Come on, Sans, you know better then to fight! And Spooky, you need our help to survive in this world!" Cuphead persuaded, pushing Sans to the far left side of the room. "You better listen to your friend, Sans." Spooky smiled teasingly, looking mischievously at her knife, "Who knows but you might die today if you don't." "Was that a threat? Heh, don't worry, brat! That last time I checked, you don't have a soul unlike me!" The ghost's smile faded before she faded through Bendy, bashing Sans onto the wall, "I've never hesitated to KILL people nor my own Specimens. So, what's different in KILLING YOU?" The skeleton smirked, "because-" He teleported away and struck her with bones leaving no damage (-0.1HP). "I'm no Human nor Specimen. And you haven't seen what I can do." It was clear Sans couldn't last long - sweat dripped from his skull and his hands started to tremble. Looking around, Y/N's Mum started to worry, bolting onto her feet, "Y/N? Y/N!!! Where, where are you!? Guys, Y/N is missing?!" The room fell silent. Cuphead narrowed his eyes at Sans and Spooky, "Don't you see what YOU TWO have done?!! Your fighting led us to lose our ONE and ONLY hope in defeating the Devil and those other giant guys!!" Mugman stood up, trying to push Cups away from fighting, "C-Cuphead! Stop it! They didn't -" "No. You know what, I'm leaving and finding Y/N alone if you, brother, aren't coming to help me." There was no response. "Tch, typical." The red cup ran into the forest without turning back, leaving Mugman speechless. Bendy held his cuts, knowing that those two wouldn't fight after that, "Mugs are you going to-" "No. Leave him. He won't learn his mistakes and I'm sick of cleaning up after him." Y/N's mother placed a hand on Mugs' shoulder, "But he's your brother." The house was silent.
