Jayda's POV

3 days later...

I can't believe how bad this day is going already. I woke up and my damn laptop won't turn on. Wtf! I spent $300 dollars on this and I have no idea how I'm going to replace it. I would ask my parents for the money, but their money comes with strings attached.

God why?!!

I figured I'd go out for coffee and maybe I'd feel a bit better. I showered and put on some sweats and a hoodie. I usually dress like this all the time because I'm chill and lame, so why not dress the part.

I went to the Ozone Coffee Roasters. I had never been here before, but it's low profile which means less people. Not like I have any friends, I just don't want to see as many humans right now. I walked in and to my surprise there were only 2 other people here.

"Good morning ma'am what can I get for you today?" The barista asked.

A new laptop maybe?

"Can I please get a sunrise expresso with 2 bacon, egg, and cheese croissants," I answered.

"That'll be $19.89."

I took out my card and handed it to him. After a minute of him reswiping I decided to ask him what was taking so long.

"Um is everything okay?" I asked.

"Um I'm sorry but your card keeps declining?"

"For god's sake, fuck me!"

The barista's eyes light up and I realized I said that out loud.

"I'm sorry," I whispered.

I can't believe my card is declining. You're telling me I don't have 20 fucking dollars. Ughhhh I hate this morning! No laptop! No money! Wow!

"I'll pay for it. And can I also get a sunrise expresso," a familiar voice spoke behind me.

I turned and saw that it was the guy I ran into the other day, Harry.

"I appreciate it but you don't have to," I said barely looking at him.

"I know," he said, handing the man his card.

Well this isn't embarrassing at all.

About two minutes later the barista handed us our things. I quickly thanked Harry before walking off to a table in the corner. To my dismay he followed me.

"Can I sit with you?" He asked.

I didn't wanna be rude so I just shook my head. He sat down nearly cheesing the whole time. I ignored him and started eating my croissants.

He started to laugh, "wow."

"What?"

"You're different."

I looked confused for a moment.

"Other girls wouldn't eat like that in front of me, then there's you," he said clearing up my confusion.

"Just because you're famous and all doesn't mean you're not a regular person. And plus I love food and eating, I don't care who you are."

"I've been trying to get people to understand that for quite a while now."

I rolled my eyes but then realized the thing I agreed to earlier about not being rude. I forced a smile.

Harry started to laugh, "You're funny you know."

"You don't even know me."

Well besides the fact that I'm broke.

"Well I want to get to know you. I think you're pretty interesting."

"No. And I'm not."

"Not what?"

"Interesting duh," I said, drinking my coffee.

"Yes you are. You're right I don't know you but I do know you're interesting."

"Whatever," I say giving up.

How could he possible think he knows me. We come from two different worlds and I'm not talking about race. He's a famous pop star and I'm a boring lame person. Why is he even talking to me?

"So why are you here at this coffee shop Harry?"

He looked surprised, "Sometimes I like to be away. I love my fans, but sometimes I want to be around less people as possible."

"That's deep."

"Yeah. Deep," he said smirking.

Eww.

"You remembered my name huh?"

"Yeah it's kind of hard to forget now, but I bet you don't remember mine."

"I wouldn't forget your name Jayda."

I almost choked on my coffee. Why would he remember my name out of the hundreds of people he meets in a day. Ew I need to get away from pop stars and go back to my world of invisibility.

"So why are you here this morning?" He asks.

Ughh more conversation.

"I had a bad morning. My laptop completely crashed or something so yay me. I don't know. Just like you I want to be around less people."

He nods his head, "Can I get your number?"

"Why would you want my number?"

"Because I said I wanted to get to know you. I know you said no but It's worth a shot."

I was hesitant to actually give him my number, but then I figured he will never use it so why the hell not. I put my number into his phone and as usual he just smiled the whole time. He had to leave of course but he assured me I would be hearing from him again.

Like I actually believed that.
