(Y/n) POV

In a second, I see some light again. I'm afraid of the fall but someone catches me before I hit the ground.

"Thank you so much, Shoto," I say. "You're always here to save me."

I look around me and all the villains are already frozen. "You're amazing as usual, Shoto," I say.

"What are you talking about, all I did was froze them," he says.

"You say it so normally..." I sigh as we sit there for a bit to sort out what exactly is going on.

"Where should we go now?" I ask to see what kind of good ideas Shoto has.

"I think the most logical thing to do would be to go to Aizawa. If there are any villains on the way there, I'll freeze them," he says. "How does that sound?"

"It's fine but..." I say gloomily.

"But...?" he asks.

"I WANNA FIGHT TOOOO~" I whine. I know I'm not the strongest person in the world but I don't want to admit that I'm weak. "I want to do my best too."

Shoto smiles, "Alright, that's what we'll do then. We'll both fight. But if you start to feel tired or bad in general, I'll take over. Better?"

"A-alright," I agree. "Better."

We walk along and fight villains as we go. Although it's tiring and I'm not in my best possible condition, I make it through all the way until we got to Aizawa-sensei. The mess we see Aizawa-sensei in is nothing like what we've expected. I gasp and we both run over to him.

"Sensei! We have to get you somewhere safe," I say.

"(L/n), Todoroki, be careful! There are 2 villains and one monster that they call a Nomu. It's way too dangerous for you students to fight against." he says. We stand there in shock for a few moments until we turn around only to see a huge, purple Nomu looming over us.

Shoto froze it and we ran back, carrying Aizawa-sensei with us. It only took seconds for the Nomu to break out of Shoto's ice but it was enough to buy us a little bit of time.

The fight went on and we kept running away. That seemed like the best and strongest option.

"I don't like to run away..." Shoto said angrily while carrying Aizawa-sensei on his back.

"Yeah, I know," I say. "But remember, Shoto. 'Running away is lame, but it's useful!"

"What? Where did you get that from?" he asks. (A/N from the manga... -- u --)

"We were talking about it before, during..." I say trying to recollect my memories again. 'Oh shoot, that was when I was talking to Kaminari-kun!' I suddenly remembered. "Oh, nevermind, it was with someone else..." I say sheepishly. I don't mention Kaminari just incase that bothers him. Although it probably won't, I wouldn't be happy if Momo and Shoto were talking about something that closely.

Wait. Why am I overlapping Kaminari for me and Momo for Shoto?

The villains stop going after us and we take a few breaths. Why did they stop chasing us? Did another villain arrive? Did another pro-hero arrive? What exactly happened?

"Why did they stop chasing us?" I ask Shoto for any possible ideas.

"I'm not sure, maybe another villain joined them," he says. 'Alright, we're on the same page,' I think.

I squint my eyes. I see the main villain with the hand on his face. 'I think they called him Shigaraki...,' I think. I see him walking towards something and I try to see what's ahead of him and I gasp.

"TSUYU-CHAN!" I scream and run over.

I run as fast as my weak body can and push Tsuyu underwater. I just need to make sure that his hand and Tsuyu are not on the same parallel. Even if he touches my body, as long as my quirks activated, I'm just water. His hand will go right through me.

"Why is she water?" Shigaraki yells and starts to scratch his neck. "Why is my quirk not working???"

"Thank you so much, (Y/n)-chan," Tsuyu-chan says. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. Are you?"

"Thanks to you," she says.

As we talk, we weren't paying enough attention to what was going on around us. We didn't notice that Shoto and blood-covered Aizawa-sensei were fighting the Nomu.

I started running towards Shoto but while I was running, I saw something else and my body started moving before I actually decided to use my brain.

I saw Kaminari being threatened by another villain. If I used my brain and thought it through, he probably would've been fine. I mean, yes, he had short-circuited but he also had an electricity quirk, he probably wouldn't die. Momo was there and Jirou-san was also there, they weren't weak-- especially Momo. Shoto was in more trouble, I should have gone to help him but I ran their way and shot the villain from behind. I shot a pressure point so that knocked him out, we just didn't know for how long.

"Kaminari-kun, are you okay?" I ask worried.

Kaminari is just recovering from his short circuit so he's back to normal.

"I'm fine, (Y/n)," he says and smiles a nice big smile. "Thanks!"

"Y-you're welcome," I say a little embarrassed. "I'm so glad you're okay."

"Ahh, that's pretty lame. I wanted to be the one helping you and saving you since you have a weaker body but you're so much stronger than me. Why am I the one being helped?" he says with a light blush.

I laugh at that and smile. Kaminari does make me happy. I'm so glad to have such a fun friend to be with. Kaminari is always saying things that make me feel better, things that add to my confidence. I feel a little lighter now. I was able to help someone.

But right when I was feeling a little happier about my life, someone hits me with reality.

"(Y/n)-chan, is Shoto okay?" Momo asks and I don't know how to reply. I just turn to face her with a look of dread on my face.

"(Y/n)-chan?" she asks again.

"I-I don't know," I say quietly.

"So you left him there?" she asks. I know she doesn't mean it in a bad way, but it still hurts.

Momo doesn't take another second standing there and runs to where Shoto is. I follow soon after but I don't know what to do. I feel terrible inside. I don't want to be here.

"(Y/n)!" I hear a voice beside me exclaim. "Don't cry! Todoroki will be fine, he's Todoroki after all. More importantly, I was really happy when you came to help me so I hope you don't think it was a waste."

"Was I crying?" I ask and feel my wet cheeks and start to wipe my tears. "Thank you so much. That made me feel a lot better," I smile.

I run up to Shoto but by the time I'm near him, all the heroes have arrived and most importantly, he's talking to Momo.

After Aizawa-sensei and Deku were safely on the ambulance and on the way to the hospital, we finally relaxed a bit. The rest of us just took the bus back to school. This time, I decided to sit next to Shoto.

"Were you okay, Shoto?" I ask not sure what to say.

"Yeah, I'm okay. Momo came to help us too," he says.

There it is. Again. Momo. Momo. Momo.

"I hope Aizawa-sensei is going to be okay," he says.

"Yeah. I hope so too," I say quietly.

Maybe Momo's right. I'm not doing the right thing. Why did I leave Shoto? This is why he keeps talking about Momo!

But what if that's not true? What if I can't win against Momo no matter what I do? What if Shoto just likes Momo more than me?

I put my thoughts away and sit there in silence until I feel a hand on mine. It's Shoto's large, slightly cold right hand.

"Shoto?" I ask and look up at him.

"You don't have to worry about anything, (Y/n)," he says. "I'll always be okay and my top priority is to keep you safe."

'Oh how simple I am,' I think. 'I was so insecure a few seconds ago and yet now I'm just overflowing with pure happiness.'

We spend the rest of the bus ride to school, hand in hand. Although this was a short ride, it was a happy one.

Everyone's already left but I linger in the classroom to make sure I'm not forgetting anything. The sports festival is coming right up.

I leave my bag in the classroom and I head to the washroom before I leave school. I go back to the classroom to grab my bag.

Inside the classroom, I see Kaminari-kun.

"Kaminari-kun!" I smile super hard. "I was able to hold hands with Shoto today! You know how I was complaining about it on the train ride that morning? Thank you so much for listening to me rant!"

I grab my bag and head out of the classroom. "I'm really glad you were okay today, Kaminari-kun. I'm going to get going now, good luck training for the sports festival!"

And I happily walk to the train station.

Kaminari POV

I slump down to the ground and look at the floor.

"What? What the heck's that? Why does she make that kind of face for him?" I speak my thoughts out loud. "Why do I feel this bad?"

'I like her. Ugh, I don't want to admit but she was right.' I think. 'Momo was right all along, I really do like her.'
