LET'S CATCH YOU UP TO SPEED...

"Yo. I'm Sonic. Sonic the Hedgehog. A student at UA, on my journey toward becoming a hero. After Midnight put a target on my back for getting first place, Kamianri, Kirishima, Mina, and I teamed up for the cavalry battle. Everyone was going great until my buddy Deku came along and swiped the 10 Million band at the last second. Cheap move, but it was smart. Luckily, we're all still in the running, waiting to find out what's next..."

After the cavalry battle, all of the students either went to their assigned break rooms or just went to go sit in the stands.

Sonic: Nice work out there guys, now what's say we grab a couple hundred chilidogs?

Kaminari: You and the chilidogs man.

Jiro: Seriously, at what point does that straight up become an addiction?

As they're talking, Blaze walks by the Class 1-A break room door.

Blaze: Finally found it. *she knocks on the door* Excuse me, is Sonic here?

Kaminari: Hey it's that cat girl again.

Sonic: Yo Blaze! Long time, no see!

Blaze: Good to see you all again. Congratulations on your recent victory, Midoriya.

Deku: Huh?! You know me?

Blaze: Of course. Sonic told me about how you helped him and All Might defeat those villains. *she turns to Sonic* Can I talk to you for a minute?

Sonic: *in his head* She sure likes her privacy. *to her* Sure. Go on ahead guys, I'll catch up.

They all leave and Sonic and Blaze go into a hall onto the side.

Sonic: Ya know this is the second time you've wanted to talk alone. This gonna become a regular thing?

Blaze: No... actually... I came to apologize...

Sonic: Huh? For what?

Blaze: I misjudged you Sonic. I believed you were just an egotistical show-off who didn't care about what being a hero meant... but I was wrong. I was the one who was misguided. I've been so caught up in upholding my family's legacy... their honor... that I overlooked the real reason I wanted to attend UA in the first place. And for that, I am truly sorry...

Sonic: *smiles* You don't have to apologize, Blaze... I'm not always the easiest person to read ya know. I always just try to go with the flow... but when things get serious, so do I.

Blaze:...

Sonic: I get that whole family legacy thing, my dad; he's the one I look up to... but you are your own person. And no matter who you turn out to be, your family should just be proud of you for making it this far. Heck, YOU should be proud of where you are now!

Blaze: I...I am. Thank you, Sonic. I don't want for you to think of me as some stuck-up rich girl, but simply as a fellow hero in training... and if you'll let me... we can be... friends?

Sonic: We already are!

Blaze: *looks up and smiles* Thanks... I needed that... but don't think this means I'm going easy on you during the next round!

Sonic: Wouldn't have it any other way.

*they smile and shake hands*

Silver: *running through the hall* BLAZE!

Sonic: Friend of yours?

Blaze: That's Silver, and yes we're close.

Silver: *panting* Oh good, I thought I'd never find you. Oh WOW! You're Sonic! Hi! I heard about you! You're awesome.

Sonic: You okay buddy?

Silver: *panting* Yeah yeah... just gotta... catch my breath. Blaze we've gotta start heading back now.

Blaze: Alright, I'll follow you.

Sonic: Guess I'll head back too. See ya guys, nice to meet you, Silver.

They leave in different directions and Sonic meets up with his team. About 10 minutes later...

Present Mic: ALRIGHT PEOPLE! GET THOSE FOAM FINGERS OUT CAUSE IT'S ALMOST TIME FOR THE MAIN EVENT! AND GOOD NEWS FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DIDN'T MAKE IT TO THE FINALS, WE'VE GOT SOME FUN SIDE GAMES FOR YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN! WE EVEN BROUGHT IN CHEERLEADERS-... WAIT WHAT?

Aizawa: Uh... what are they doing?

All the girls from 1-A walked out wearing UA cheerleader outfits, looking very embarrassed.

Present Mic: LOOKS LIKE CLASS 1-A IS GOING FULL ON FAN SERVICE!

Aizawa: Don't announce that.

Sonic: Uh... what's going on?

Kirishima: Beats me.

Deku: W-Why are they w-wearing that?!

Mineta: *smirking smugly*

Shoji: Mineta, what have you done?

Momo: That little perv tricked us!

Jiro: When I get my hands on that bastard...

Kaminari: *says nothing in awe of Jiro*

Sonic: *whacks him in the head* Cool it, lover boy.

Mina: Well I think I look great! Hey Sonic. *seductively* How do I look, big boy?

Sonic: Mina, this is neither the time nor the place.

Jiro: She's enjoying this way too much.

Present Mic: ALRIGHT STUDENTS! LET'S DRAW THE MATCHES FOR THE FINAL TOURNAMENT! THE QUALIFYING 16 STUDENTS WILL COMPETE AGAINST EACH OTHER IN A HEAD-TO-HEAD MATCH UNTIL ONLY ONE IS LEFT STANDING! WHO WILL COME OUT VICTORIOUS?!

Kirishima: Aw yeah! We finally get a chance to show off what we're made of! I've watched these final rounds every year and now I'm finally a part of one!

Mina: So it's always a tournament?

Sonic: Yeah, but sometimes they switch things up every other year or so. My dad told me about it. I think one time the finals were a staring contest.

Midnight: Take a look at the match-ups, cause these are your opponents!

She cracked her whip and the mega screen showed the brackets:

Midoriya vs Shinso

Kaminari vs Yaoyorozu

Sonic vs Silver

Iida vs Hatsume

Kirishima vs Tetsutetsu

Ashido vs Todoroki

Uraraka vs Blaze

Bakugou vs Monoma

Present Mic: ALRIGHT THE COMBATANTS ARE SET BUT FIRST LET GIVE THEM A MOMENT TO THINK WHILE WE PROCEED WITH OUR RECREATIONAL GAMES!

After the announcement, the fighters went back to the lockers to get mentally prepared for their battles. Some time passed and Deku had his battle with Shinso, turning out victorious although almost losing horribly by being controlled and nearly walking out of the ring. In the meantime, Kaminari was getting ready for his match with Sonic, and Kirishima there for moral support. Just as they were about to leave, Jiro walked in.

Jiro: Kaminari? You in here?

Kirishima: Hey, it's Jiro.

Sonic: What's up, Bass Boost?

Kaminari: Hey. What's going on? Something wrong?

Jiro: No it's not that I just... wanted to wish you luck in your match, that's all.

Kaminari: Really? I thought you'd be rooting for Momo.

Jiro: Well... you're both my friends and I want you both to do great out there. Plus, you might end up frying your brain before the match ends so... I came to wish you luck with that.

Kaminari: *sarcastically* Gee thanks.

Jiro: C'mon, I'm joking! Just do your best out there.

Kaminari: *a bit in awe and smiles* Yeah, I will!

Sonic and Kirishima: Ooooooooooooo!

Kaminari: H-Hey! Shut up! What are you guys, 4 years old?!

After that, Jiro heads back to the stands with Sonic and Kirishima, while Kaminari heads onto the battlefield.

Kaminari: *to himself* This is it, Kaminari...

Present: ALRIGHT WHAT A GREAT MATCH! LET'S MOVE ONTO THE NEXT ONE SHALL WE? FROM CLASS 1-A... SHE'S SMART, SHE'S STUDIOUS, AND SHE CAN MAKE JUST ABOUT ANYTHING! MOMO YAOYOROZU!!!

The audience applauds and cheers.

Present Mic: AND OUR SECOND FIGHTER IN THIS MATCH. ALSO FROM CLASS 1-A...HE'LL SEND A SHOCK TO YOUR SYSTEM! WE HAVE THE LIVING LIGHTNING BOLT HIMSELF, DENKI KAMINARI!!!

The crowd cheers again.

Sonic: You've got this Denki!

Mina: Good luck to both of you!

Present Mic: AS WITH THE FIRST MATCH, THE RULES ARE THE SAME; EITHER KNOCK THE OPPONENT OUT OF THE RING OR LITERALLY KNOCK THEM OUT! NO HOLDING BACK BUT NO LETHAL BLOWS EITHER, YA HEAR? NOW... FIGHTERS READY?!... CLASH!

Music Insert: 

Without a second thought, Denki rushed Momo, charging electricity in his hands. Momo countered by creating a shield to defend herself, but Denki was able to push her back. She then made batons and attacked Denki who dodged the blows. He then fired electricity at the batons to use them as conductors like how he did with Jiro's ear-wires. He grabbed them both and tried to shock her but to his surprise, nothing happened.

Kaminari: What?

Yaoyorozu: If you studied any science then you'd know- *she goes to jab at him and lands a hit to his gut* -rubber blocks electricity!

Sonic: Oooooo...

Kirishima: He's feeling that tomorrow.

Jiro: ... *in her head* C'mon idiot...

Kaminari is pushed back and falls, but gets back up, holding his stomach. He then tries to analyze his opponent.

Kaminari: Damn she's right. I don't stand a chance! Ugh! I'm an idiot if I'm not working with a machine! There's no way I can beat her with my quirk alone, especially if she can just keep making things made of rubber, then... wait... that's it! I've gotta get her to make more stuff!

Kaminari then rushed at her again, this time going for a physical attack which she blocked with another shield.

Momo: You tried that one alre-!

He then grabbed the shield and used it to flip over to her back where she was unguarded. Out of instinct, Momo created a rubber barrier between her and Denki, but now she looked a bit weaker. Denki then strikes the ground, sending a shockwave toward her, which she blocks with another rubber barrier. She's beginning to look more and more exhausted after each creation.

Uraraka: Is it just me or does Momo seem different?

Sonic: She's moving a lot slower than before.

Deku: Hmmm...

Sonic: I know that look, whatcha thinkin' Deku?

Deku: The way quirks work... they can take a lot out of you if overused...

Iida: Now that you mention it, she looks tired.

Sonic: Oh I get it! He's trying to wear her down, that way he can go in for an attack while she's drained.

Jiro: Wow that's... a pretty smart move actually... maybe he's not such a dumbass...

Kaminari is still sending bolts and shockwaves toward her, Momo is getting weaker.

Kaminari: I don't have much in me left before I short circuit. I need an opening now!

At that moment, Momo falters for a second and Kaminari takes off.

Kaminari: There!

He rushes at her while she's struggling to make another weapon.

Kaminari: Sorry 'bout this, Momo, but I'm winning this one!

He charges up lighting in her hands and thrusts it forward at her.

Kaminari: 1.3 MILLION VOLTS!

Yaoyorozu: AAAAAH!

He shocks her and sends her flying, not far out of the ring.

Present Mic: AND THAT'S GAME LADIES AND GENTS! DENKI KAMINARI OF CLASS 1-A MOVES ON!

Sonic: He did it!

Kirishima: Rock on, bro!

Momo is struggling to get up when Kaminari outstretches his hand and helps her up.

Kaminari: Sorry if I went too hard on you back there, good game!

Yaoyorozu: *nods and smiles* You were an admiral opponent. I wish you luck in the next round.

Back in the stands, Sonic and the others come to congratulate their friends.

Iida: Well done you two, a fine bout if I do say so myself.

Sonic: Hey man! Nice work out there!

Mina: You too, Momo!

Uraraka: Yeah you did great!

Kirishima: You guys were awesome! Never seen such a crazy match like that before!

Kaminari: Thanks, you guys.

Jiro: Hey.

Kaminari: Huh? Oh! Hey Jiro!

Jiro: *punches him lightly on the shoulder* Not bad, Sparky. You actually pulled it off.

Kaminari: Hahaha thanks... ow.

Present Mic: ATTENTION EVERYONE! THE NEXT MATCH WILL COMMENCE IN JUST A FEW MOMENTS SO GET READY EVERYONE!

Kaminari: Hey man that means you're up next.

Sonic: Then I better start getting ready! Meet up with you guys afterward!

Jiro: Good luck dude!

Deku: Don't worry, you'll do great! I know you will!

Kirishima: Go get 'em, bro! You got this!

Mina: We'll be cheering you on Sonic!

The others there smiled and gave him a thumbs-up as Sonic ran out to the field.

Present Mic: AND WE'RE BACK EVERYONE SO LET'S GET READY FOR OUR NEXT MATCH! IT'S SURE TO BE AN EXCITING ONE! OUR NEXT FIGHTER FROM CLASS 1-A... YOU WON'T SEE HIM WHEN THIS BLUE STREAK SPEEDS BY! WE HAVE THE FASTEST THING ALIVE! SONIC THE HEDGEHOG!

The audience cheers and shouts as Sonic walks into the ring.

Present Mic: AND HIS OPPONENT FROM CLASS 1-B... HE'S A MASTER OF THE MIND AND HIS POWERS SEEM LIKE SOMETHING FROM A DISTANT FUTURE! WE HAVE THE PSYCHIC HERO! SILVER THE HEDGEHOG!

The audience cheers for Silver as he walks onto the field.

Kirishima: C'mon Sonic! Smack him!

Kaminari: You can win Sonic!

Mina: We're supporting you all the way!

Jiro: Win this thing Blue Blur!

On the other side of the stands...

Blaze: Sonic... Silver... I believe in you both.

Sonic: Didn't think I'd be seeing you again so soon!

Silver: Me neither! Been waiting for a chance for us to show off what we've got! But don't underestimate me, Sonic! I won't be holding back!

Sonic: Alright then Silver...

Present Mic: FIGHTERS READY?!... CLASH!

Sonic: Let's see what you've got!

The UA Sports Festival Combat Tournament has officially begun! Sonic and friends will have to fight their way through to survive and now Sonic must face a new foe. Will the Blue Blur prevail or will his run be short-lived?
