"Wake up!" yelled Chloe into Aurora's ear. 

"Ugh, why?" she grumbled pulling the covers over her head, she hated waking up, it was the worst thing ever. Almost as bad as Potter and that was saying something.

"Because. We have to get to breakfast before class starts" Charlotte said as she was getting dressed. The two were already up, being able to get up early unlike Aurora and Evelyn who was still snoring in her bed. 

Aurora groaned as she took off her covers and stood up walking over to the bathroom with her eyes still closed. While she got ready in the bathroom, Chloe tried to wake up Evelyn, but as per usual, refused to get out of bed. If Aurora was bad, Evelyn was worse, usually missing breakfast and sometimes first period because of her trouble with waking up on time.

"Ugh, I will come down in a minute, just give me a little more time" she complained as the girls shrugged and left to go down to breakfast. The girls were always seen walking down the halls together but each with their own style. Chloe would wear the uniform correctly, occasionally wearing sweaters and cardigans over if it was chilly, charlotte and aurora would usually be sporting similar looks with their ties slightly loose and sleeves pushed up to their elbows with their skirts right above their knees and wearing black low heels or sneakers depending on the day, and Evelyn would sometimes not even tie the tie, leaving it around her shoulders and would ditch the tights unless is was cold due to her lack of love for them and her shirt half tucked in, she gave off an effortless look that many could not pull off. 

The girls (minus Evelyn because she was still asleep), sat in their usual places at Gryffindor table and ate breakfast. Hermione often joined them, as they loved their friend in the blue house but today she was talking to her house friends. The girls had little to no house prejudice, being friends with many people from different houses including Sadie, Susan, Cedric, and Hannah from Hufflepuff; Hermione, Cho, and Luna from Ravenclaw; Pansy, Blaise, Theo and Daphne from Slytherin; and many others. 

"What classes do we have again?" Aurora asked as she ate her eggs and bacon. 

"Umm, I think we have herbology, double transfiguration, double potions, and then our elective classes in the afternoon. Oh and we have practice today" Charlotte said eating waffles and pumpkin juice. They all took divination, seeing as it seemed to be an easy class, as well as muggle studies for Charlotte and Evelyn while Chloe and Evelyn took care of magical creatures.

"I do, not know how you drink that, it is gross" Aurora said gaging, in reference to the pumpkin juice in her friends goblet. She hated pumpkin anything, it just tasted weird to her. 

"Rory, it is not gross, I love pumpkin juice" Chloe said backing up Charlotte as she ate her pancakes slathered in maple syrup. You would someone would get diabetes eating the amount of sugar she does. 

"honestly, I am not surprised, you hate everything" charlotte said throwing her hands in the air.

"I do not!" aurora said crossing her arms as both girls  rolled their eyes.

"Sure, so you like peanut butter-"

"olives-"

"spinach-"

"pickles-"

"anything remotely spicy-"

"peppers-"

"licorice wands-"

"hummus-" 

"Ok! Ok! I get it, gosh do you like, keep a book of what I do and don't like?" Aurora said interrupting their speech that could have gone on for way longer. 

"No, we just know you that well, we all know each other well. Like how we know Clo and Teddy have fancied each other since the beginning of time" Charlotte said laughing as the blonde's face heated up.

"I do not fancy teddy! we are just good friends!" she said crossing her arms as the girls laughed.They then heard loud laughter from the entrance of the great hall and knew exactly who it was. 

Three teenage boys walked in the great hall, one with brown hair, one with black, and one with blue. They were all laughing about something and waved to Ron, who waved back before returning to his conversation with Dean. They had always sat near those boys while the girls sat closer to the end of the table, but today they walked right past their usual seats, Potter and Black in the front and Lupin in the back looking as if he would rather be anywhere else. the girls were in the middle of a conversation about how Evelyn would most likely miss breakfast and to bring her some food for first class when the three boys sat right next to him, Potter sitting next to Aurora on one side and Lupin and Black sitting next to Chloe and Charlotte. 

The girls stopped talking and looked at the boys weirdly,

"Um, do you need something?" Aurora asked confused as she scooted to the left leaving some space between her and the boy with glasses. 

"No, I just wanted to tell you how beautiful you look today Holland" he said with a smirk as he rested his hand on his cheek and looked at her. She frowned with confusion and looked at Teddy who just closed his eyes and shook his head.

"Er, thanks?" she responded more sounding like a question. 

"My offers still open you know, we don't have to get butterbeer. I can take you wherever you would like" he said and winked as she frowned now knowing why he was really here.

"I told you once and I will tell you again, No thank you" she said as she began to stand up. "Now if you don't mind, we have to get to class" she told them as the girls got the note and stood up as well. 

"I love when you play hard to get" he said flirtatiously while she rolled her eyes and walked away followed by Chloe and Charlotte. While they walked away, Black turned to the girls and yelled after them, 

"what about you Edwards, fancy a butterbeer?!" he yelled after her with a response of her giving a rather rude hand gesture not even looking back. He grinned and looked back to the boys. One with a determined smirk and other with his head in his hands.

"Well, it's not the end of the world, there are plenty of other fish in the sea" the black haired boy said smiling at some Gryffindor girls who blushed and giggled.

"No, I know Holland fancies me, she just doesn't know it yet." Harry said nonchalantly as he ate some bacon, Teddy then sat up, 

"Well good luck with that, but we need to bring our food to go because the greenhouse is far and we need to get to herbology if we don't want to be late again" he told them as they gathered some food in napkins and went off to class.

Meanwhile, the girls were talking in the greenhouse about certain annoying people. 

"Ugh, did he actually think I would say yes, he is just flirting with me because I don't like him and everybody has to love Harry freaking potter" she said rolling her eyes as she put gardening gloves on.

"yea and Black! He literally flirts with every girl in the school!" Charlotte replied as Chloe joined the conversation,  

"It is weird because he really has not paid any attention to you since first year, but that was on the train. It is kinda out of nowhere, but with black, he has always flirted with you, when you aren't fighting" Chloe said. 

"Maybe it's because Aurora got hot over the summer, I mean look at you!" Charlotte said praising her friend as she rolled her eyes playfully.  

"Ugh, no you are gorgeous, but Chloe my darling you are exquisite" she said winking as her friend playfully as the blonde put her hand over her hand and pretended to blush,

"you flatter me" she replied not before they broke into laughter. Proffesser Sprout then came into the room and began to call roll. 

"Miss Mikinnon? is she he-" the teacher began as the door to the greenhouse burst open. There stood Evelyn panting as she made her way to the girls,

"I'm here- I'm- I'm here" she said panting as the woman raised her eyebrows but continued down the list.

"Here you go" Chloe said handing  toast to the girl as she gave her a big hug,

"Ugh, I love you" Evelyn said scarfing down the food before they began the lesson. They were planting dittany for Madame Pomfrey to use in the hospital wing but the whole time, Potter would smile or wink at her resulting with a huff and eye roll.

The next class was transfiguration, the girls sat down, Charlotte next to Aurora and Chloe next to Evelyn as they would switch according to the class, but Proffessor McGonagall had other plans.

"This year I will be assigning seats due to the lack of control you had when you had the choice" she began looking at a certain group of boys who looked at her innocently. The whole class erupted into a collection groans and wines to stop once the woman cleared her throat.

"Black, Edwards"

"Parkinson, Nott"

"Zabini, Greenglass"

"Finnagan, Thomas"

"Weasley, Longbottom"

"Lupin, Brooks"

"Brown, Patil"

"Mikinnon, Malfoy"

"Crabbe, Smith"

"Goyle, Patricks"

"Holland, Potter"

She finished calling out the names and was met with a varied amount of responses. Some were happy, including Lavender and Parvati who smiled at each other and Ron and Neville high fiving, others neutral like Evelyn and Draco who shrugged and moved to sit with each other, and few  who protested loudly including Evelyn and Aurora who were whining and trudging their way to a smirking Black and Potter. 

"Well look at this, it must be fate" Potter said as Aurora sat down in the seat next to him. She huffed and spitted back, 

"you better not distract me, I, unlike some people, tend to pay attention in class"

Harry smirked and put his hands behind his head, "I know its tasking to have to sit next to such a dashing person and try to take it all in while not getting distracted" he said boastfully as the brunette rolled her eyes.

"The only thing I could take in from sitting next to you is stupidity" she retorted as she heard a snort from behind them, presumably black. He always found her rejection of his friend funny. Harry glared at the boy then averted his gaze to the professor who began to give her lesson, but not before smiling at Aurora. 

Ugh this is going to be a long year
