Baby, please don't go

If I wake up tomorrow will you still be here?

I don't know if you feel the way I do

If you leave I'm gon' find you

Baby please don't go, go, go, go

Baby please don't go, go, go, go

Baby please don't go, go, go, go

Baby please don't, baby please don't..."

Colton's P.O.V

I sat in my desk chair, watching the office door like a hawk. Alice was going to walk in any moment now. She was, as normal, going to stroll in and hand me my morning cup of coffee. If I was lucky and her anger towards me had dissipated from yesterday, she might tell me good morning with a genuine smile. We'd briefly go over what I had to do today before she'd strut her cute ass out of here to return to her desk.

I'd planned, from the moment I woke up, that our morning routine would be different. The idea was that when she reached me at my desk I would wrap my arm around her waist and pull her down to me. We would then proceed to go for another teasing round, like yesterday. However, last time I teased her as a persuasion mechanism, but today it was punishment for walking out on me yesterday.

I was upset that she walked out on me, in anger because I left her hanging. She honestly doesn't understand that I wanted, with every fiber of my being to go farther. Hell, I'd be a fool not to want more from Alice due to how intoxicating she was. The way her body reacted to mine could send me to the edge and back, several times over. But I knew she would get scared of our fast pace relationship if we did go farther. I mean take the other day, for example, when she ran out on me in the office after I admitted how I felt. Her urgency to leave was based on the premise that we were 'going too fast'.

Sighing, I knew this woman would be the death of me.

As seconds rolled into minutes, and I began to wonder if yesterday's events scared her off, as I noted that she was thirty minutes late.

I shook my head and remembered a watched pot never boils. So, I began to do some work with a few glances here and there at the door every so often.

When I had finished going through some shipment documentation, I realized that Alice was really late now. Slight worry coursed through me, and I started to fear that she was avoiding me.

Getting up, I walked out of my office and looked at her desk. I'd hoped that she would be there, working and proving my avoidance theory.

She wasn't there.

My eyebrows furrowed, and I plundered on where the hell she could be. Quickly, I decided that she might be gossiping with Chey. I made my way over to Chey's cube knowing that even if Alice weren't over there, Chey would probably know where Alice is - after all; they are best friends now.

I couldn't help but be jealous of their bond. In a weird way, I wanted Alice all to myself, and it irked me a little that I had to share her with someone.

When I reached Chey's desk, I noticed Alice nor Chey was there. Glancing over Chey's cube I saw that her computer was off, which wasn't normal. In the morning, the first thing she does is turn on her computer and check emails / do some work. I scanned over her desk to find she had a full cup of coffee by her mouse.

Reaching over I stuck my finger in the coffee to find it was cold - evidently it had been sitting out for a while.

I was befuddled. Chey was a neat person; she wouldn't leave her coffee on her desk overnight. She'd empty and clean it before leaving.

Something was off.

Marching to my back office, I humored the idea that Alice went to my back office upon getting here.

However, when I walked in I noted she was not there either.

Digging in my pocket, I pulled out my cell phone and called her.

"Hi, you have reached the voicemail of Allison Snow. I am sorry I am unable to get to the phone right now. If you leave your name, number, and a brief message, I will be sure to get back to you as soon as possible."

After the beep, I left her message, urging her to call me back as soon as possible.

I, quickly, went back to my main office. Sitting down, I decided to call her once more. Sadly, I got the same results.

Frustration built up inside me as an unsettling feeling coursed through my veins.

I attempted to wait it out on either her call or presence. However, I have never been a patient man and after about twenty minutes I made the judgment call to go over to Garrett to see if she was there.

The whole way to Garrett's house, I wondered if she was mad at me. Did my actions yesterday really set her off? Should have gone the whole nine yards and have sex with her?

I shook my head, no I did what was right. We needed to take things slow.

I laughed at the fact of going slow. They way she turned me on and looked at me at times it would be torture to take things slow.

Even still, something must have happened for her to not come to work.

Maybe she is sick?

No, she would have called in.

The truth of the matter is Alice would have called in no matter what.

An idea hit me that maybe Alice and Chey were playing hooky, which would make sense. I could see them now, in a cafe talking about how worried I am right now over where the hell they - more so Alice - are. They'd be laughing and move on to a more girlie topic, like what shop they should splurge in or what not. No doubt playing hooky would have been Chey's idea. Alice would have object a few time, but Chey would persuade her to skip work.

It clicked, then, that maybe I should call Chey. She'd answer my call - even if it were to give a smart-ass answer of "we are skipping work to get away from your lame ass. Leave us alone." I would be satisfied with that because then I would know they were safe and not in danger.

After the third ring, I got an answer, "Hello?" Chey's voice filled my ear.

I sighed in relief. "Hey, it's me, Mr. Sharp."

"Oh, hey."

"Yeah, listen, have you-"

"LOL, sorry I couldn't get to the phone right now. Just leave a message, and I will get to it when I want to," there was a beep, and it was then I realized Chey had one of those trap voicemails. You know, the ones that make you think they answered when they didn't?

I angry ended the call, "Fuck!"

The car eased up in Garrett's driveway. I quickly turned off the car and raced up to the door. I banged on his front door for a good minute. With each bang, on the door, I felt my heart race and my palms begin to sweat. I was starting to have a gut feeling that something was wrong. It was becoming overpowering and the more time went by, the more I feared for Alice.

Suddenly the door swung open. Garrett faced me with wide, surprised eyes. It was clear as day he didn't expect me here at his doorstep. "Mr. Sharp - you are here ... now..."

I furrowed my eyebrows thinking he was acting a little weird. I didn't plunder on his behavior as I quickly remembered why I was here. "Is Alice here?" I questioned in a rushed tone.

Garrett spaced out a second, as his mouth hung open. He looked like a child in shock, and I swore if his mouth stayed ajar for much longer he'd catch a fly.

He was officially getting weirder. Finally, after a minute he replied, "Alice ... here - now? Uhhh, nope, she is not here. She left around her normal time ... an hour or so ago." He began to rock on his heels back and forth. He gave me a very pointed look that I couldn't decipher.

"Well, okay if you see her, tell her to call me."

"If I see her," he stressed his words, "I will get her to call you."

I was starting to get a little freaked out by Garrett. Normally he is very calm, collect and not so ... so ... jittery. Confusion, along with many other emotions, cursed through my veins. "Good," was all I could think to say.

"I think it is time you get off my property," Garrett abruptly said. He nervously glanced over his shoulder as if he had heard something. His head snapped back in my direction, "If you don't leave, I will call the cops."

I raised my hands in a surrendering manner, "Chill, I am leaving." I stated as I backed away from him and headed to my car. Before getting in my car, I glanced over at Garrett to see a panicked expression on his face.

He wiped the look off his face as he stepped back into his house and closed the door.

When I got in my car, I couldn't help but look over at the front door that Garrett just stood. His behavior was so fucking weird. I mean at first he acted surprised to see me, and then he got all spaced out, followed talking to me in a weird manner and then suddenly flipping out on me to get off his property.

I thought of reason he acted the way he did. It didn't take long for realization to hit me like a lightning bolt - he had a woman over and didn't want me to see her. I nodded, agreeing with that idea, and started the car. I respected his decision to not let me see whoever it was. The business we were in was dangerous and personal relationships were always in the crossfire. He probably feared that if we ever got in a dispute I would go after his woman if I knew what she looked like / found out who she was.

However, the woman he was shacking up with was the least of my issues. I was growing increasingly worried about Alice as I settled with the fact that something was now up.

As I drove away from Garrett's and back to the office, I began to run through my options of finding Alice. One thing stuck in my mind and after mulling it over several times I decided to give it a shot.

Pulling out my phone, I called one of the only people I knew that would be able to help me in this matter.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Tony. It's me, Colton. I need your help man."

"What is it?" He asked with curiosity.

"Alice is missing. I need you to get on of your tech guys to track her for me. Please."

Tony sighed on the other end, "Why haven't you contacted that Destin or Rochelle? Hell, Chey would do it for you in a heartbeat. They are the tech-savvy people at your office that can track people."

"Chey is missing, too. I haven't talked to the others because if they find her and she is in danger, I will go on a rampage. I want the FBI's help in this so when I find her, y'all can help me bring her in - safely and legally."

There wasn't a response from Tony on the other end for a good minute. "Mr. Hayes will not agree to this."

"Screw him! This is Alice we are talking about! I know you care about her, after all you convinced Mr. Hayes not to talk to her about spying on Garrett. Just please, help me find her. I think something is wrong, very wrong."

"I am sorry. The FBI nor I will help you in this personal matter." With that, the line went dead.

I cursed at the wind as I pressed the pedal to the metal. I was beyond pissed. After all the shit I have done for Tony and the FBI, they won't help me with this. I was seconds from flipping shit faster than pancakes as anger course through me.

When I finally reached the office, I raced up to the office floor. I made a beeline to Destin's cube.

He sat there, staring at his computer screen while chatting with someone via headphones.

I attempted to get his attention several times by calling his name, but he didn't hear me. I finally resorted to yanking the headphone from his ears.

He glanced over at me with a murderous look before blinking and stuttering when he realized who I was. "M-Mr. Shar-rp!"

"I need you to find someone."

Destin sat up straight in his chair. "You need their address?"

"No, their current location."

"Okay, do you have their cell number so that I can track that?"

Once I fished my phone out of my pocket, I unlocked it and gave him Alice's number. "How long is it going to take?" I eagerly inquired as I prayed that it wouldn't take long. I feared Alice was on borrowed time.

Destin didn't look at me as he typed away on his computer. "Well, I think I can locate her in under three minutes."

"Three?!"

"That was an overestimate. You are really looking at about two minutes, or less. It would be sooner, but I-"

"I don't want to hear your excuses," I spat as I found him irritating. "Just hurry up, this is urgent."

Nodding, he continued working on finding Alice. Soon enough, a map of the world popped up on his screen. Within about ten seconds, it zeroed in on the United States. After another collective seconds, the map zoomed in closer and closer.

"Finding the country, state and city is easy," Destin explained. "However, it's the pinpoint location that is complicated."

"How accurate is this going to be?"

Destin glanced over at me, "It will tell you exactly where the person is." He smiled, "You get what your money buys and let me tell you, you spent thousands on this baby-"

"Is that the address?" I questioned as an address and coordinates popped up on the screen.

Looking over at the screen, Destin studied it for a second. "So it is. That was a lot quicker then-"

I couldn't listen to him for one more second. I quickly took a photo of the address with my phone and sprinted away towards the garage.

On the way to my car, I entered in the address with my GPS. It took Google Maps a second but soon it informed me on where to go. It wasn't until I reached the car that I realized I knew exactly where Alice was.

Garrett's house...
