Yo guys, this isn't a chapter, but it is something you might want to read if you're slightly confused with the story so far in terms of the l/ns and Snowflake Guardian stuff.

I felt there are a few things that I should explain before I go any further into the story.

Starting with your family.

¬ The l/n family have been a long line of shinobi called the Snowflake Guardians.

The l/ns are a group of ninja who have signed their life to protecting their families secrets of snow, ice and water control.

The whole reason these people exist is because the l/n family are able to control their jutsu's and chakra elements without needing to use hand signs making them unique and just a bit more of a threat to others since they don't have to use hand signs while anyone who does can be a little slower.

The power itself is also extremely strong should they know how to use their power correctly and is fully aware of what their bloodline jutsu or kekkei genkai grants them in power.

The Snowflake Guardians are extremely important within the l/n clan, in the past not all members of the l/n clan became a Snowflake Guardian but now they all mostly do once they reach a specific point in their training. They're also rare to come across in everyday life, that's why there are so many extremely high bounties on the Snowflake Guardians' heads.

Meaning, if a bounty hunter sees a s/g (sorry i'm getting lazy now s/g is just Snowflake Guardian) they will attempt to kill them because no matter who the s/g is, as long as they are an s/g they usually still are worth a loooooooot of money.

Killing one would give the bounty hunter enough money to live in complete riches and harmony for the rest of their life without having to work (that's a great way to picture how much y'all are worth) and even further.

The l/n clan all have a snowflake in their eye when the kekkei genkai is activated, depending on the amount of strength in the kekkei genkai passed down to the member depends on the size of the snowflake.

Yours is the largest it can be because you have an extremely strong amount of the jutsu running in your blood, this also means if your children inherit the kekkei genkai then they will also have an extremely strong amount which will continue going until it dilutes out again.

Also at the moment you have to think about Shikamaru (your trigger) to trigger your kekkei genkai but after you've advanced in creating and controlling the kekkei genkai, it'll become like breathing, natural. When it reaches this level then you won't need your trigger anymore, meaning no more Shika thoughts eheheh, though sometimes it can help boost your power in moments of stress.

The l/n clan's enemies are a group called the Shadow Guardians (sorry guys it's basically like ying and yang y'kno?) and their symbol is a skull with a cross ('x') going through its eyes and out its mouth. It's also on an upside-down triangle (I didn't mention that in the chapter that I'd introduced the logo to) and the material it's on is black, the skull is white, and the 'x' is blood red. You don't meet the Shadow Guardian (family) until later on, a bit after the Gaara situation in shippuden.

So... yeah I'm not going to spoil who they are yet ^^

The Snowflake Guardian symbol is the Japanese (kAnji) character for guardian (衛士) with a large snowflake spreading out within the character, it's also on an upside-down triangle (which I also didn't mention in the chapter I'd described this to be in) also the material it's on it white, making the '衛士' be a blue colour, not too dark, not too light and the snowflake is a grey colour.

The weapons the s/g carry around are different depending on the wielders personality, the normal l/n clansmen can have weapons but not these ones because they're specially made to be almost unbreakable (except against the yang weapon - aka the Shadow Guardians *cough* they both become damaged or break when they're put against each other) meaning these weapons are only made for the s/g's because they have devoted their life and survival to protecting the scroll with all the l/n clan's secrets on how to do what they do, pretty stupid thing to create but, the originals were pretty dumb.

¬ The l/n kekkei genkai

Basically, the l/n clan's kekkei genkai is controlling ice and snow and creating it whenever they want as long as they are using the kekkei genkai. When the kekkei genkai is activated the user's eyes change into one with a snowflake within them and the whole area changes so it's like looking through a Byakugan users sight while it's activated but instead of seeing chakra and chakra networks, you can see water, water chains, and where to find large amounts of the water.

No matter where you are or who you're fighting, there's water everywhere for you to manipulate.

You all are basically unbeatable... so long as you can use what you have available to you properly.

¬ The history of the l/n clan

So the l/n clan used to be pretty large, and you would find so many branches of the family within the leaf village.

They all lived within a large compound of houses just like the Hyuga and the Uchiha clans. Large stretches of land with their own individual streets of houses where the various different families within the clan lived in and it was set so that you'd walk down the main street and at the end is the head house of the clan where your Father's family once resided and where you reside now.

So the house you live in is the head house because a long time ago your Dad's parents were the leader of the l/n clan until they... died and then Sora, your Uncle, and your Dad were given the choice to take over and become head.

Your Dad became head of the family because he was the older one of the two of them meaning Sora moved out to one of the side houses but stayed as the right-hand man.

Two thirds of the l/n clan was wiped out during the nine tailed foxes attack on the leaf village, half of those were killed fighting the nine tails and the other half was killed by the Shadow Guardians who'd took the nine tails attack as a cover to also launch their attack on the other guardian family.

Once the attack was over, your Dad and Mother left the village on a recovery mission somewhere in the Land of Waves and Sora took the final third of the l/n clan still alive and lead them away from the leaf village to somewhere where they'd be safe from any attack(er)s.

They've lived in the highest mountain in the region ever since, only a l/n can find it and have access to it. None l/n's may find it by accident, but they wouldn't be able to enter due to there being a blood barrier around making it so only people with the same family bloodline can actually enter the area.

Now the whoooooole story line... I guess...

¬ The l/n clan + Naruto story

So the way the l/n clan and issues flood in is whenever something difficult happens to the leaf village that makes it easy to slip in and out without being noticed, the Shadow Guardians will come in and try to find the l/n clans scroll purely because only one s/g has the scroll, previously it was your Dad and now it's you.

The other s/g's have a fake version of the scroll, but they can all tell who is the person with the real scroll because their marks (that weird blue thing on your arm that goes up your neck and head) all react to each other (glow pretty brightly).

During the great shinobi war (in the future) you and your family will play a large roll in enemy wipe out because you bring your family home at some point and it's all heart-wAotog and lovely as you become the head of the family and such.. that bittersweet nonsense that you don't need to know yet, but you do now because why the hell not?

The chakra addition to the family kekkei genkai

¬ So how do the l/n clan actually manipulate their chakra (because it's basically unneeded when using the kekkei genkai)?

So the kekkei genkai alone only requires a small amount of chakra, if any at all. But depending on your chakra nature (yours is water and fire) you can add chakra to your ice and snow to change how it can be used.

For example when you add a lot of chakra, it melts and the water becomes scolding, if you put enough concentration in, you could probably melt the skin off a person. This is because you've added the fire nature in. However, if you add a small amount of chakra you can make the area more watery meaning there's more to freeze and manipulate to your will. This is because you added the water nature.

Also because you have these natures, you're able to manipulate small amounts of fire and water in their raw form like a small flame or a little pond of water.

However, only really skilled shinobi of the l/n clan are able to do this. This is because it's a hard skill to master when you haven't needed to know such intense chakra control until this, and the basics like walking on water or walking up trees and walls won't help at all when it comes to adding it to the kekkei genkai.

It usually takes a year to master the basics, half a lifetime to be pretty good at it without being exhausted after using it and a whole lifetime to master the skill completely.

You currently only know the basics, but you managed to master it in a month so congrats, you're amazing! Better than the elders of the l/n clan!
