(Lupin x Fujiko)
"Lupin! I don't like this hide and seek!"
Fujiko yells in agitation, slowing down from a jog down the midnight sidewalk.
The lamp posts stand in contrast of the dark neighborhood within France, the tall stone architecture looming ominously above her.
She shivers in her short pink dress, hugging herself while walking with the clickity-clack of her pink heels.
"Are you cold?"
"Huh?!"
Fujiko halts and whips around expecting Lupin, but all she saw was no one, only sidewalk and dim lamp posts. Worryingly, she starts to walk and turn back around only to run face first into none other than Lupin.
"—Ah!"
"Hehe!"
Lupin chuckles as Fujiko looks up at him in anger.
"Lupin!"
"What? I thought you liked games and surprises."
"Yeah will not this kind!"
Fujiko pouts her mouth at him before stepping away and crossing her arms with a —"hmmph!"
"Awww Fujicakes! Don't gimmie that!"
Lupin casually takes his hand around her hips to usher them along. The two begin to walk.
"It's all just fun and games Fujiko, I thought that's something you like. Also—"
Lupins hand run from the side of her hips up to her cool arm.
"Are you cold? If you're in need of warmth you coulda just said so!"
Lupin unhands her and starts to take off his blazer, but Fujiko looks away dismissively.
"I don't need a jacket from the likes of you!"
"Awh Fujiko!" Lupin frowns all hurt, but not long after in replacement with a goofy grin.
"Hehe don't worry!
We can get all cozy at our hotel tonight right?
But uh—"
Lupins hand holds Fujiko's waist tightly once more, but quickly swoops her to turn a sharp right.
"Huh?!"
Lupin smiles.
"—Lets take a detour, shall we?"
"L-Lupin!"
The two waltz into a dark alley way, the only lights being the buildings windows and the other side that lies ahead. Fujiko shivers as they walk amongst the darkness.
"Lupin, what are you doing?"
Fujiko whispers.
"We're being followed."
Lupin whispers back quietly.
"W—What!? But why?"
"Just get down!"
Lupin takes Fujikos wrist and forces her behind him, using his back and slowly push her against the building walls, forcing her to squat on the ground and let her date tower over her as protection. Lupin looks up and around, seeing silhouettes of a couple men on the rooftops.
"The gift I got you,"
Lupin whispers out the side of his mouth.
"Your necklace."
Fujiko gasps and places her finger tips on her dazzling necklace with a shimmering emerald.
"I stole their emerald and made the necklace for you. It seems like they want their green rock back. Hehe!"
Lupin bends his legs and leans back a little to whisper quietly to Fujiko.
"Just keep your head down and your necklace hidden. They don't know what I've done with it."
"..Alright."
Lupin grins to himself. He eyes the men above him, keeping his hands loose and out of his pockets in waiting for the right moment to pull out his Walter.
He suddenly laughs to himself, then speaks loud and clear—wanting to say the name of his beloved femme fetale since it rolls off the tongue so nicely.
It is also a great timer.
"Fuuuuuu—jiiiiiiii—koooooooo—Chan!"
He whips out his Walter and swiftly shoots the two men nearly above him.
He quickly grabs Fujiko and drags her to the other wall of the alleyway, making her squat once more as Lupin aims to someone at one of the ends. She begins to have a cold sweat.
Lupin shoots above, then turns to shoot at the last men other end of the alleyway. The men all scream and fall out of sight. Lastly he aims at the nearest end of the alleyway where a silhouette of a man awaits. He pulls the trigger multiple times but nothing shoots out, only the sound of it clicking.
"Wha—Out of bullets? C—Crap!"
"I told you I'll be getting that emerald back no matter what.
Your time is up Lupin," the villain bellowed as he walks closer.
"Let this be your last date you have with any woman!"
BANG!
The gunshot echos down the alleyway as the bullet pierces into Lupins torso. Fujiko eyes widen.
"Lupin!"
Lupin yells in agony, the force of the bullet causing him to rotate his body around and fall forward, directly onto Fujiko. She catches and holds him tightly, shaking in her heels.
"Lupin, Lupin!" She whispers frighteningly.
Unexpectedly, she feels something cold and rocky fall onto her thigh. She glances down to see Lupin place an emerald-like rock there.
"I'm fine," he whispers quietly into her ear.
"I have a bulletproof vest.
Just give him the fake and he'll leave us alone."
She goes into the act of grabbing onto Lupin desperately, fake tears welling up in her eyes and pouring out. Just then the villainous man approaches Fujiko holding Lupins supposed lifeless body. She looks up in a mix of fear and anger.
"You monster!" She calls out.
"You're lucky I'm not into pretty women like you," the man spat.
"Sorry about your date, just hand over the emerald. I know you have it," he demands with a grin.
Fujiko closes her eyes for a moment, then reluctantly lifts her hand and shows the shiny rock in her palm. The man grins wider and takes it.
"Hah! Have a nice night sweetheart!"
The man tosses and catches the emerald in the air, laughing and waltzing away. Fujiko goes back to holding and crying all over Lupin for the act of it while watching the man and his goons make their way out.
Soon enough, she realizes whomever it was, was gone. She wipes away her tears with the back of her hand and start to push Lupin off of her.
"They're gone now Lupin.
...Lupin.
Lupin? Hey Lupin?
Hey— Lupin, wake up!"
Lupin stays quiet and still, only groaning quietly with a weary chuckle. In a panic, she lifts him off her and holds him up by his arms, staring him up and down wildly.
"Lupin!" She screams in disbelief.
"You liar!"
Only then does she notice how ruined and bloodied her dress is. She quickly pulls out her phone and dials the hideout number.
"Hello hello?" Jigen answers.
"Jigen! It's Lupin. We need a ride."
"Lupin? What happened?"
"No time to explain, just hurry and track my phone!"
She glances over at Lupins head that leans on her shoulder, hearing him groan.
"It's alright Lupin," she says quietly.
"We'll get you help."
"Don't worry," he whispers drowsily. "I'll be fine, I'm just drowsy, this isn't too bad."
"That idiot!" Jigen yells into the phone, hearing the entire thing.
"We'll be on our way!"
"Hurry!" Fujiko demands before the line ends. She drops her phone to hold Lupin who winces suddenly.
"It's okay,"
Lupin says shakily, moving his hands onto Fujiko's shoulders. He uses her to push himself up onto his feet. He looks down at Fujiko with a forced goofy smile.
"Eventful evening we had Huh?" He couldn't help but wince through a chuckle.
Fujiko crosses her arms at him.
"Why did you lie about the vest?"
"Huhuhu—I didn't lie!
I do have a bullet proof vest, it's just not on me—huhuhu!"
"Lupin!" She yells. "That's not funny!"
Lupin continues to grimace through his laughter.
"Yes it is!
The person with the bulletproof vest is you! Hehe!"
Fujiko, confused, stands up and feels around her torso—realizing the fit corset-like material is indeed hard as any bulletproof vest. She looks at Lupin angrily while he smiles like a goofball and itches the back of his head.
"Argh—!"
"Lupin!"
A pan of pain causes Lupin buckle and stumble, making Fujiko catch him from falling to his knees to grip his chest. His face drips with sweat but he can't help but smile.
"Plus," he says.
"It's nice to be in your arms like this, hehe!
I-It's funny...what I would do to be in them,
is it not?"
"Lupin.."
Fujiko sighs in frustration of this deadbeat thief being head over heels. Yet behind her angry facade, a look of guilt is written in the glimmer of her eyes.
The two hear a car screech to a halt nearby. Fujiko looks up to see Jigen and Goemon in their Fiat 500 at the nearest end of the alley way. Goemon springs out of the car and dashes towards them.
"What did you do Fujiko?"
"Me? Don't blame me, I've done nothing!
There's no time to explain—
we need to patch Lupin up!"
"Right away!"
Goemon and Fujiko take Lupin and run him to the car. He yells in aggravated pain as they tugged him out the alleyway and into the car.
"It wasn't even a big deal!"
Lupin complains in the car as Jigen starts driving.
"Just a lucky shot! I used my bullets up too quickly."
"Yeah well don't make that stupid mistake again!" Jigen stammers angrily, placing a lit crooked cigarette in his mouth and pressing on the gas pedal.
Fujiko, sitting in the back with Lupin, starts to grab Lupins blazer and tug it off him. Lupin notices this, and his pupils nearly pop out of his skull.
"Fuji-cakes? Right here and now?"
"No, Stupid!"
She slaps his face, leaving a comical red handprint on his cheek.
"Aowwwwwww!"
Lupin rubs the handprint on his face while Fujiko continues to peel Lupins tops off that are all bloodied. Lupin winces and she lastly takes off his purple button down, showing case a small bloody circular gash on left of his chest, just between his shoulder and collarbone.
She takes a alcohol wipe from somewhere in the car and wipes it across the wound. Lupin screams his head off.
"WAAAA FUJIKO FUJIKO—
OW IT HURTS!
AGGGGH!"
Goemon stares at Lupin in pain while Jigen steals glances from the front review mirror.
"Goemon,"
Fujiko demands kindly, ignoring Lupins cries.
"Fetch me whatever you wrap around your torso."
Goemon opens the glove compartment in the car and toss a roll of a white bandage like material of some sort to the back in which Fujiko catches.
Fujiko begins to wrap around Lupins shoulder and torso, alternating between the two before ripping the excess off and hanging the roll back to Goemon.
"There! Now you're good as new!"
"Wah— you didn't even remove the bullet!"
"It's fine, you've been riddled with bullets before and here you are, still alive!"
Lupin crosses his arms and leans back in his seat with an annoyed face, then a grin spreads quickly on his face, melting his every bodily tension.
Goemon and Fujiko stares in an amusement.
"What are you smiling for Lupin?"
Goemon asks, but Lupin only giggles back, winking as a wince from the pain.
"Ooooh what I would do to be in Fujikos arms again~!"
