monica's pov

  as everyone gathers around the table i stand with mat and he hugs me, i look at safiya and sigh. "it...it had to happen"i whisper. 

mat, rosanna and i sat together and not too far away manny and nikita stood there. joey was between all of us, while maddie and mina stood behind joey. nikita tries to apologize to mat, but mat says he was never mad at her. he just didn't like the more evil side to nikita.

we go to the map and see that there are three new areas to the map, and not just one. we now had the gas station, the cemetery and the bridge which leads to the cemetery. all of a sudden we hear someone scream which almost sounds like their in pain, we all jump and huddle together.

all of a sudden mortimer comes in breathing very heavily, he tells us that they are going to burn him alive. we have no idea who they or him are, but mortimer successfully drags us out to watch. at the pump station a man in a very nice suit with a bag over his head tells us one of the witches will come back to burn him.

he tells us that their is a key, so we split up and look for the key. joey and i find this skull with a note in it's mouth, joey pulls out the note. "it's just symbols"i say as we keep looking around, we find out that each symbol corresponds to a certain number.

mat and i decide to figure out the math, "nikita and rosanna look for two j's, that kind of look like hooks"i say and the two girls run off and soon everyone else does. all of a sudden calliope tells mortimer that she knows he isn't okay, mat asked if mortimer was alright.

mortimer replies he's okay in a strange tone, maybe...maybe i was right about mortimer being corrupted? anyways, joey returns with the final part and the three of us go on and finish the problem while manny picks the lock.

once manny, mina and rosanna open the box something sprays them. inside the box was a little doll made of wood, we grab the key and nikita reads the note.

the witches are using the wicker man to curse the people of everlock.

the note tells us the only way to cleanse this artifact is by reversing three curses, well that's great. we free the guy and he takes off the mask and the guy has a pig nose, he tells us that one of the witches cursed him and manny was cursed as well.

the pig man pulls out this book and before we could even read it three witches rush out. we all run inside fat man slims, once we got in we pull out this diagram of these curses. reverse youth, bloody pig nose and a wedding ring from a dead man.

all of a sudden a old woman walks inside, she tells us that one of the witches took her brother and took away her youth. she tells us her brothers bones are in the cemetery, we look through the book and one of the spells was a disguise spell which disguises us as one of the witches lovers.

manny, mat, mina and i decide to go help out pig man while the rest do everything else. mina rips out the reverse a swine and the invisibility spell from the book and we go out.

maddison's pov

as the other group leaves we try to figure out how to start and all of a sudden a witch walks in and we all hide from her. she asked the lady where we were, but left after. we all get out once she leaves.

the old lady tells us that was the witch who killed her brother. joey says the only way to resurrect someone is by placing their bones in a ritual urn and surround it with elements.

a ice cube was petrified water, a potted plant was earth, a lighter was fire, and a fan was air or wind (avatar!!!!!). after getting all the elements we find out someone needs to get the bones using the transformation spell, and joey was the only boy.

monica's pov

we see two witches and hide behind a building. to work the invisibility spell we need a cloak and white sand, to work the swine undone spell we need elk's blood, yeti's milk and salamander eyeballs in a silver flask.

we all try and hide behind a tree while they are casting a spell because they are distracted, but they find us and we decide to just distract them ourselves while others get what we need.

mat accidentally falls and gets a spell casted on him, but helps us so we can't get everything else. "god fucking damn if matthew"i say helping him up and leaving.

maddison's pov

we get to the cemetery and before entering, the girls cast a spell on joey to transform. after joey "transform" he tells us he doesn't feel different, are you serious?! whatever. joey walks out in the straightest way he possibly can, meeting with one of the witches.

she was very touchy, like almost too touchy. i didn't mind, i mean joey is getting kind of what he deserves, but he is also gay....so this is kind of awkward for him. after a while joey finally tells us which box it is and nikita goes to recover it.

the witch soon discovers us and we run away. once we were alone we place the bones in the urn and place the elements around it and chant the spell to bring back sam (the old woman's dead brother). after a few seconds the spell worked, and not to be weird, but he looked fine.

monica's pov

we rush back to mortimer and tell him we couldn't get a lot. we see one of the witches walk over to this area with some ingredients, mina and i go over there and find the white sand.

we return to the boys. manny puts on the cloak and puts a little sand on him and now he is invisible, the spell only works for five minutes, so he had to find the ingredients fast.

we wait for manny and i hear mat telling mortimer if he ever needs anything that we'll help him, which is true. once manny grabs a briefcase we all run to fat man slims. the pig man was there, so we mixed the potion, casted the spell and gave it to him.

he drinks it and starts coughing. "oh my god, get some water and some help"mina says, don't laugh monica. the man soon turns to normal and gives us his nose, ew.

maddison's pov

we quietly rush back to fat man slims, but three witches pop out with maria tied up. one of the witches says that if we don't come out, she'll slit the maria's throat.

joey tells rosanna to go tell the witches to let maria go and rosanna decides to go. after a few minutes the three witches curse rosanna, but she gets away safely.

monica's pov

all of a sudden rosanna and maria walk in, but where are the others? however after a few minutes the rest walked in with the ring. it then tells us one more thing, everyone who got cursed must pay the price and whoever is last has to pay the price with their life.

that means manny, rosanna, joey and mat have to be put into this challenge. while nikita, maddie, mina and i are safe, i walk over to mat and hug him. "no...no...no"i say holding onto him.

calliope and mortimer take them, "no mat! please no!"i yell holding onto him. nikita pulls me away and i hug her and cry, "i can't loose him...i don't want to loose him again"i whisper. "i know, i don't want to loose manny. we won't know what happens until later"she says and i cry.

throughout the whole time i was pacing, i almost wanted to puke in fear! i was scared, not only for mat, but for rosanna. she's against all guys, and i'm worried that...that she won't make it...

after a while the boys returned and i knew exactly what happened. i burst into tears, and i just hugged mat. "i'm sorry...i'm sorry you had to see that, to know what happened"i say, rosanna was basically my only friend that really helped throughout mat dying.

she was so kind and helpful, that...it hurt so much. mat hugs me, "it's okay"he says kissing the top of my head. yes, i'm happy mat is alive. that's one step closer to possibly us getting out alive, but rosanna... she meant so much.

manny places the amulet on maria's forehead and she turns back to normal, maria and sam we're finally reunited. after that we place the amulet in its final place and the wooden thing is cleansed.

once placed in its slot, we only had one more artifact. one more artifact...one more person to sacrifice...

if my character died; mina's pov

i think mina would sacrifice herself, she cares so much for how both mat and monica feel that she honestly would sacrifice herself for them to be happy. even though she knows one of them could die one more time.

joey; i couldn't believe it, she sacrificed herself. she even told me before dying that she wished she could've done this to the people of the ball, that she wished she could've saved liza or alex to survive...she told me, that she wanted to do this for them.

nikita; i can't believe it! mina sacrificed herself for the group to proceed. i felt bad, and i wasn't even their to watch. that might sound bad, but i bet it hurt rosanna to have someone die for her.

manny; behind nikita, mina was one of my best friends. to hear her say she'll sacrifice herself for the group hurt me, i didn't want her to go, but she did. to help rosanna live, to keep us going on. i'm sorry mina.

rosanna; i feel so bad. mina, a girl who had so much potential and even finished first...she sacrificed herself for me, to move on and help the group.

maddison; i knew she would come to her senses, a sense of help and care. she wanted to repay those awful times at the ball, she wanted to sacrifice herself...because that's what she wanted to do at the start of the ball.

monica; it hurts to hear that one of my best friends died today, but she also did it to help me and mat and the rest of the group... she cared, she cared for us.

mat; thank you so much mina, i'm sorry for you dying. thank you though, for keeping my best friend alive!
