*at the vision residence the next day* After being successfully kicked out of their mom's room the Twins decided they'd need to call in some backup. They ran to the phone and quickly dialed the number hanging up on the fridge.

Y/n had been awake for a while just thinking about what had happened last night when their old 2000's Nokia phone started ringing, they answered and to their surprise heard the sound of the twins on the other side of the line

"Y/n!"

"Boys. How's your mom? Is she ok?" worry crept up their spine

"Uhhh I don't know, she's acting kind of weird-" just as they finished their sentence the phone turned into an old 80's phone, and Y/n stared at it before looking comically into the camera 

 "Alright, so what do you need me to do?"

There was a pause on the other line "well- she said she wanted to be alone but we think maybe you should come over" Billy answered "yeah she always seems to be in a good mood when you're around" They heard Tommy say in the background

"I don't know boys if your mom wants to be alone I don't want to interrupt that"

"Pleeeeeease Y/n, she's acting strange"

" yeah I saw her take a whole tub of ice cream upstairs to her room with only a spoon" Tommy answered again and Y/n took a sharp inhale

"What about your dad?"

"He's...not here"

"...alright, but if she gets mad at me you two have got to cover for me" Y/n joked and they could hear the smile in Billy's voice when he replied "Thanks, bye see you soon" and hung up.

"I don't know what they think I can do but I guess I'll have to figure something out. I just hope she doesn't kick me out...or worse" Y/n said as they talked into the camera

On the walk to Wanda's house, their clothes frequently glitched and as they looked around they noticed the houses doing the same, this prompted Y/n to run and they were at Wanda's house in seconds flat.

The boys let them in before they even knocked (Y/n guessed that they were probably waiting for them to arrive) "What's the scoop boys?" Y/n questioned

"She's upstairs in her room binging cringy hallmark movies" Billy answered

"It's not even Christmas!! This is outrageous!" Tommy cried and Y/n gave them a comical smile

"This is worse than I thought. Alright, I'll handle it, you boys stay down here and I'll call you if I need backup" The twins nodded their heads and returned to their positions on the couch where their controllers were still freaking out.

Y/n went upstairs and knocked on Wanda's door

"Boy's I already told you mommy's taking a day for herself" She responded from inside the room

"That's a real shame, I guess I'll head home" Y/n answered and they immediately heard clattering before Wanda in her disheveled, beautiful, glory opened the door

"Y/n." She breathed, surprise evident on her features and so far no trace of annoyance

"Wanda." Y/n smiled, just being in her presence made their body feel warm

"I wasn't- I wasn't expecting you today"

Y/n looked her up and down before smirking "obviously"

Wanda blushed "uh how did you- ...did the boys call you?"

"They sure did, they were worried about you, and frankly so am I. Is this about that thing we talked about last night?" They questioned

"Sort of, I'm exhausted and I guess last night took a lot out of me" Y/n figured all the power she used last night had some sort of effect, what with all the glitching and whatnot.

"Yeah, I get that. Listen, I can leave if you want I just wanted to come over and check on you" Y/n offered and Wanda was quick to shut that down

"No actually I think it might be nice to have you here, we could bake that cookie recipe you promised to teach me" Wanda proposed

"Did I promise you that? I don't remember that." Y/n teased and Wanda chuckled playfully, hip-checking Y/n as she walked past them

"Hey Wanda how about I clean up here while you go reassure your boys you're not dead"

Wanda's smile dampened a bit but she nodded, before Y/n could start cleaning up Wanda grabbed their arm "Y/n...Thank you" she confessed shyly

Y/n smiled brightly at her "no problem Wanda, it's a pleasure helping you out whenever I can" Wanda gave them a grateful smile before heading downstairs.

Y/n looked around the room; Wanda's costume on the floor, an ice cream tub on the messy bed, and a cheesy hallmark movie playing on the tv. They shook their head and looked up at the camera

"So Wanda is going through a bit of a crisis, it happens to the best of us" They spoke to the camera. Y/n glanced at the ice cream tub and cringed "Some of us worse than others. Black licorice ice cream? Really? Dear Lord."

When Y/n finally came downstairs with the ice cream tub in hand she saw the boys looking absolutely puzzled as their mom talked to them and Y/n fondly shook their head as they went into the kitchen. They disposed of the ice cream and began doing the dishes when they heard the doorbell ring, they finished up drying everything before heading over to see Anges and the boys near the door. Anges's smile dropped as soon as she saw Y/n

"Y/n, didn't expect to see you here on Wanda's little day off"

Y/n could sense the tension behind her words but said nothing about it

"Yeah I'm just helping out, poor Wanda's been working herself into insanity. I figured a little baking couldn't hurt right Wan?"

Wanda smiled at the odd nickname and nodded her head "yeah, thanks for taking the boys Agnes it's a real help"

Agnes tightly nodded her head before heading out of the door with the boys, eyeing y/n suspiciously before leaving

Y/n couldn't help but admire the way Wanda looked good in anything she wore, even pajamas, but that didn't go unnoticed and soon enough Wanda was smirking at them from the couch

" See something you like Y/n?"

They blushed but quickly retaliated "you said it not me"

It was Wanda's turn to blush at Y/n's honesty and Y/n smirked

"Did you just flirt with me?" Wanda questioned and Y/n would've said yes if they didn't remember at that moment that Wanda was a married woman. It was so easy to be around her, and it was even easier to forget she was taken. Their smile dropped at the thought and Wanda's expression quickly turned to one of worry "Y/n?..."

"Sorry I just- Where's Vision again? The boys never told me where he went, it's a Saturday so I was just wondering if I should leave before he gets here so you guys can-"

"Y/n!" Wanda cut them off and they rubbed their neck sheepishly

"Sorry"

"It's alright he's... well I believe he's out with some of his friends you know how men are" Wanda nervously chuckled and Y/n joined in.

"Alright well enough of that, those cookies aren't going to bake themselves" Y/n stated and Wanda clapped her hands excitedly before looking happily into the camera

"Alright so originally this was a mini vacation slash punishment for last night but how could I possibly send Y/n home? Plus there are cookies involved"

"Do you think that you're starting to develop something with Y/N? Do you really think you deserve someone like them?" the cameraman questioned and Wanda paled "W-what? You're not supposed to talk, how did you- what are you talking about?"

As the two of them began mixing the ingredients Y/n engaged in light conversation "so how's it going with that thing we talked about last night? Did you talk to your husband about it?"

"No, but I probably should if I'm being completely honest" Wanda confessed

"Has it gotten any clearer for you?"

"Yeah I'd like to think so, today is definitely bringing some clarity for me"

Y/n nodded as they grabbed the almond milk "oh do you have-" the milk glitched to dairy and Y/n looked at it with a confused smile "actually never mind I found it" They said as they unscrewed the cap and poured it into the mixer.

"Sorry I don't know what's happening today" Wanda apologized as she grabbed a few eggs from the fridge

"You're good, it's not like I blame you or anything," Y/n said casually but Wanda froze and looked up at them curiously

"Right..."

"So what are your interests? What are your hobbies? I still feel like I barely know you" Y/n confessed and with that, the two of them launched into a conversation as they continued baking the cookies

Once the cookies were done the two were taste testing a few or five when the door swung open and in walked Monica-( who Y/n had recently remembered her name was)-

"Wanda!?! Wanda?!" She called out as she approached the two and Wanda promptly choked on her cookie before setting it down

"What are you doing?!"

"Wanda-"

"How did you get in here?!"

Y/n watched on with concern and curiosity as Monica tried to explain herself but Wanda just used her magic and lifted her outside. Y/n's eyes grew wide at this as they followed the argument outside "Wanda what-"

Y/n watched with horror as Wanda slammed Monica down, thankfully Monica seemed unaffected.

"Woah Wanda, why did you do that?!" Y/n accused and Wanda turned to look at them in surprise "Y/n-" she tried to explain but Y/n just shook their head and walked past her to help Monica "Are you alright?"

"Y/n? Yeah I'm doing ok"

Monica looked back up at Wanda with a hardened stare "the only lies I've said are the ones you put in my mouth"

Wanda readied her magic and glared "careful what you say to me"

Y/n gawked at Wanda but she didn't even spare them a glance

"Do it." Monica challenged and Wanda hesitated, Y/n felt a weight in their chest lift at seeing her hesitance

"See that's where you and Hayward differ, he wants to make you out to be the villain"

Y/n didn't know who Hayward was but they wanted to beat his ass and leave him for the Avengers to finish off.

"Maybe I already am" came Wanda's response and Y/n's heart broke

"Wanda-" Y/n started

"No look at me, I mean what happened in Lagos, and when I was with HYDRA, I did bad things"

Y/n stepped closer "Wanda at some point you have to learn to forgive yourself for that, I know it's not going to be easy but your past doesn't define you"

"You wouldn't understand Y/n!! I'm- a monster, I can't even control my emotions enough to keep this town intact. I've lost So much!! I've lost everyone and I can't afford to lose anymore"

"I know and I'm sorry, but you can't let this Hayward guy win, you can't let him tell the world that you're someone we know you aren't" Y/n tried to reason

"I lost the person closest to me too. The worst thing I could possibly imagine has already happened to me and I can't change it I- I can't control this pain anymore and I don't think I want to, because it's my truth" Monica admitted

"Wanda you're not alone, you have me, you could have Monica, You have -"

"Excuse me, ladies, I think you've both overstayed your welcome. Poor Wanda's been through enough" Agnes cut in and Y/n's never wanted to punch someone more

"Run along dears" she sneered as she began walking Wanda away

"Wanda-" Y/n tried to call out but Wanda cut her off with a glare

"No Y/n!! I thought you were on my side, I thought you understood!! But you're just trying to take away my happiness like everyone else"

"Wanda please!" Y/n desperately called out, tears forming in their eyes "Please don't do this, My world is so bright when you're around, nobody's ever made me this happy before. When you're not here everything falls apart, please- I need you" Y/n pleaded, they could see Wanda's hesitance after their last words but with Agnes Walking away with her, her decision was final, and Y/n broke down crying at the sight of the woman they were beginning to love, walk away.
