Radhika's pov

I received Rishabh's message saying he's waiting for me at the departure gate one. I dragged my luggage towards the departure gate.

He was standing there tapping on his phone. He wasn't wearing his normal crisp suit but a causal t-shirt and jeans. He looked so relaxed and normal, almost human. It was nice to see this side of him.

"You're checking me out?" Rishabh asked with furrowed brows.

"What? No. I'm sorry, I was thinking something."

"Okay good because it was creepy" I rolled my eyes. I really was thinking. I would never check him out even if he's extremely attractive.

"Let's go" I said and started moving ahead of him and the conversation.

We entered and got our boarding passes from one of Rishabh's employee working there. He doesn't like all the waiting so he has a guy who does all that for him. The one thing I was relieved about was we're going to be in different seats and I won't have to deal with him on the flight.

We boarded the flight and to my extreme horror we were sitting together.

"Why am I sitting with you in business class when I had an economic class ticket?"

"I guess you got upgraded. Relax"

"Ma'am please take your seat you are blocking the way" the air hostess pointed to the seat next to Rishabh.

I ignored her and stood still staring at the stupid seat. I'm happy I got upgraded but I honestly don't want to be sitting next to him. It would completely ruin my experience of business class.

"Sir, could you ask your wife to take her seat? The other passengers are waiting." The air hostess chimed in again.

Before I could say something Rishabh grabbed my arm and pulled me down. "Sit down, sweetie."

I gave him a glare before doing the same to the air hostess. "I'm not his wife" I snapped which seemed to faze the air hostess. I sighed "I'm sorry but can I get another seat?" I asked in a much more calm voice.

She smiled "I'm sorry ma'am, but no. The airplane is full. You'll have to adjust." I wanted to tell her to check again but I know that would just irritate her more so I let go. It was fate.

"You got upgraded to business class, can't you just be happy about it?" Rishabh said. I was happy, I just didn't like the company.

"Could you please give the window seat?" I asked politely.

"Will that make you stop whining?" Rishabh asked. It was insulting but I nodded anyway. "Okay, have at it."

He got up and we exchanged our seat. It did stop my whining as I spent the entire flight looking at the clouds and ignoring any presence of Rishabh. It isn't like I hate him or anything but he gets under my skin and I don't like that. I can't figure him out and sometimes it is hard to know what he wants. He is so shut off.

Rishabh fell asleep after a little while and I listen to music while looking outside. I didn't realise when I fell asleep. I felt a soft hand on my cheek caressing them. I smiled. It felt nice. I was dreaming, I thought until I heard Rishabh whisper wake up. I woke up instantly and realised my head was resting on his shoulder. He looked at me with a much softer expression than usual. I could see a faint smile, it was so different.

Neither of us said anything. I didn't or rather couldn't find the words. I wanted to cherish this very rare moment. The pilot annouced that we will be landing soon. Rishabh went back to his guarded self the second he heard the announcement. For a second, I could see past the walls. I saw the vulnerability. I felt something, I didn't know what but it was something.

We took our luggage and a car was already waiting for us. After settling in I realized that Pakhi was nowhere to be found the entire journey.

"I thought Pakhi was going to be with us. Is she not coming?" I asked

"She is already here since Arjun needed some help. We will be meeting them maybe tonight or tomorrow morning"  he replied typing something on phone.

"Okay" I said and turned back admiring Mumbai. I've really missed this place. Growing up we used to come alot to mumbai considering we live in Pune. My parents are still living in Pune.

I still haven't told my mom about my business trip because if I do she'll insist I come visit here and I don't want to go home. I've been able to avoid going home for a long time now and I intend to keep it like that. Home is supposed to be peaceful and calm, mine is the  complete opposite. My home is stressful and madness. My dad leaves no occasion to tell him how I'm not the perfect little daughter and I counter attack him all the time leaving my mom in the middle. It is a complicated relationship which is beyond repair. It is better to leave it the way it is rather trying to force it.

I didn't realize when we reach the hotel. It was right in front of marine drive. It had the perfect view. I got of the car excited which made Rishabh confuse. I didn't care, I like the change of scenario and I like Mumbai. I'm not going to let him and his mood swings ruin my mood for the trip.
