They sat there for at least half an hour, and Beatrice's shoulder started to get numb under the weight of Ava's head.

"Ava, go get some rest in our room. My shoulder hurts." Beatrice whispered, but Ava just hummed, probably not even listening to what she said.

Bea sighed and took Ava into her arms, slowly getting up from the ground. Her body was light, so it wasn't hard to carry her into their room.

After they got there, Beatrice gently laid Ava onto their bed and tucked her in the sheets. "I'll be here in a minute." She said to Ava and decided to head out and speak to Lilith.

After Beatrice looked almost everywhere, she finally found her and Camila outside the castle. It seemed that they weren't having an actual conversation.

"Lilith," Beatrice said with a calm voice, and after Lilith turned her face against hers, she continued "I'd like to talk with you."

Lilith looked kind of unsure, maybe a bit annoyed, but she agreed.

Lilith

Lilith wasn't sure why Beatrice wanted to speak to her all of the sudden, but she allowed herself to find out.

They walked for a bit in complete silence, and she thought that Beatrice is fighting hard to not burst out with anger and kill her immediately. But then Bea finally spoke up, and she said the last thing she would expect her to do.

"Thank you. Without your help, Ava would be dead."
