If mahidevran had known that Mustafa's words would couse this many issues then she would have never decided to visit her that day, she almost wished she didn't.

The valide being a proud and stubborn women, decided that the punishment mahidevran deserved was her silence. Whenever the younger woman entered a room she'd act as if she wasn't there.

It only lasted a few days but it left it's scar. But now everything was back to normal, the valide spoke to her and included her in conversation again.

She knew the other women who kept them company especially Hatice had questions but the valide simply told her that it wasn't for her to know.

Mahidevran especially made sure to sit her sweet boy down and to tell him to never ever say he'll rule the world or become sultan in valide's company or in anyone else's. It was bad and rude considering his father was alive and healthy.

This led to a small argument that was quickly resolved by mahi sweet talking him and carefully explaining why it was so wrong. When he finally understood he promised to never repeat those words.

But that wasn't the only situation that had gotten mahi worked up, the sultan had gifted hurrem the Emerald ring. All this time she thought it was for her.

Heartbroken she watched as the girl showed off the jewel, her gaze full of mockery and arrogance whenever they came across each other.

Feeling bitter and wanting to wipe that smirk off her face gulsah her ever loyal maid called her out in front of the girls while they were going to class. She told her to greet her sultana respectfully and when she did, hurrem made sure to show her the gift the sultan gave her.

It was hard to see almost, it was just a ring she kept telling herself, it was just a ring! Nothing too important or anything to be envious about. The sultan gifted her many things, even the late sultan gifted her things.

the bitter feeling only grew stronger everytime they came across each other, day by day. Week by week.

The sultan still kept within her company and mahi found herself only in his company on Thursday nights sometimes alone, sometimes with Mustafa.

One thing for sure, mahidevran wouldn't allow this mere concubine, who hasn't even given the sultan any children let alone a son steal any of the holy Thursday nights. They were hers and hers alone.

She could sleep with him anyday and all day for all she cared but not on the one night she knew was hers.

She knew threw Ibrahim that the sultan was to go on a campaign in a few weeks and that he wouldn't be back for months. It was nice knowing she had a firm alliance in the castle, someone she knew who was loyal to her and not anyone else apart from the sultan himself.

She spent the next few days thinking very carefully, her next move should be perfect. This was a dangerous game and would be getting even more dangerous when more players come and join.

it was best to have allies instead of enemies, that was one of the first things the valide had told her before arriving at the capital.

Mahidevran intended to follow that advice
