AN: ofc i am starting the chapter with yet ANOTHER AN... i know i just published a chapter yesterday but i was bored so you guys will just have to suffer with me :). Anyway, that chapter had so many things wrong with it, first me forgetting to put the actual name of the chapter in it, then forgetting that the chapter number itself was wrong. It was just so wrong on several levels. I was just glad i remembered the art to put on the top. And lets just apreciate this meme for a second. its great isn't it? i think so. actually scratch that. i KNOW so. anywayyyyy onto the recap!

He politely asked (Y/N) to remove their mask quickly since they had not yet removed it from their last mission. Right after the mask was removed Muzan jabbed one of their eyes with his finger. He let in a drop of blood from that entry point and her eye and then told her, "You will be my eyes. Thank you and good luck." Then that same sound from that mysterious instrument came and (Y/N) was out of the odd warped dimension and they were back in the real world.

~~onto the real chapter~~

(Y/N)'s POV...

As I exited Masters dimension I knew who he was talking about right after he told me about their earrings. It was Tanjiro. I had no idea why he wanted to keep tabs on that boy but I knew exactly where he was staying. I remember overhearing his trial at the Demon Slayer HQ and how they took him to the infirmary at the butterfly estate. The problem was, I had no idea where that estate was. But I figured it would be near the HQ. So I began running and making my way there. Luckily I remembered exactly where it was but when I got by the gates and looked down at the place I saw that they had set up a wanted poster for me. I honestly felt honored to be plastered on a small sheet of paper and sought out by several people. But the thing was, was that they had an inaccurate depiction of me on there. I mean yes my hair is the same but I tend to hide it sometimes unless I feel the need to let it fly free wherever I may be going. But they have me down as someone who doesn't wear a mask. Plus, my kimono is completely different. Yes my kimono still has a hood because I still like to walk around in the day time but the design is still completely different. But I ignored it and kept making my way towards the butterfly estate. I did eventually find it deep in this forestry area. It was like the place was just a garden and not even a house; it was just so peaceful. I slowly approached it and began snooping around the windows on my lookout for him. I spotted him in the window eating food with those same two knuckleheads I remember leaving behind at the mountain. I think that may have been a mistake. Actually, I think my fate was inevitable. I still killed my parents so even if they did put me on trial I would still be sentenced to gardening in the sun. Then Muzan would give me the deal like he did at the mountain and then give it to me again when I was in my old room. I guess I stood there for too long because I guess they felt eyes on them and when they looked out the window they saw me once but didn't even believe their eyes and once they looked out again I moved far away into a tree. Unable to be seen by human eyes. I watched them carefully but I also wished I could intermingle with them. I watched them argue and then I saw them shove Inosuke out of their room as he began calling for a said "spirit" that must have been me. "Spirit who was staring at us in the window come at me!! The great Inosuke can definitely take you!! I can take on anything!!" I exhaled a quiet laugh and with my breathing technique I sent a small blade across the trees with some wind to make it like the wind was blowing and it was a sign that I was there. He screamed and pointed out the fact that it was a sign that I was there and so I spent the rest of the night messing with Inosuke since he thought there was a spirit there. It was honestly a blast. But when the morning came I had to find a completely different hiding place because sadly these trees do not provide me with too much coverage and they were really exposed to the sun, even with my hood up, still exposed. But that is truly not the point, I keep getting off task. My task is to keep a close eye on Tanjiro at all times like the Master requested. But in all honesty my heart was begging to be by his side again. The short time I spent with him was really great quality time. Plus his friends I met along the way were great company too. But now I have to watch from a distance. Unless Tanjiro had no idea about my trial and I could lie to him. Plus I could say to the Master I am going under cover and that would get me closer to Tanjiro. But I had no idea how to contact the Master. I mean I saw that lower moon boy doing it by just kneeling but I felt like there was more to it than that. Maybe I'll just have to try. So I jumped out of the tree I was hiding in and as I hit the floor all of a sudden I was hit with a gust of wind. When I looked up after landing on my feet my eyes met with Muzan's bright red eyes. They stared down at me. "What did you need to ask me my disciple?" "Well Master, I was wondering if I could go undercover and watch Tanjiro closer... since he has no idea of my trial." "Mm well make sure he has no idea about you. I don't want you to be caught." I nodded and then he disappeared. I sighed with relief and decided to wait until dusk to sneak into the butterfly estate. As I saw the sun slowly set I made my way inside their room. My heart was pounding and I was nervously excited to be doing something like this. I enjoyed being around Tanjiro and his friends so much with their happy presences. I just wanted that feeling back again. So as I made myself seen by the three boys in their room I began sensing a heavily breathing human running towards me. I slowly turn around and I see that boar kid running towards me shouting, "You won't get away with this this time spirit!!" I exhaled a laugh and once he reached me I leapt into the air and landed behind him. I could hear Zenitsu gasp in wonder and I heard Tanjiro come out to pull Inozuke back from attacking me. Inosuke was growling insanely towards me and Tanjiro approached me. He sniffed me out and asked me who I was since I bet he thought his nose was lying to him again. "Tanjiro, I thought you were better than that? Again, don't you recognize pure legend when you see one?" Tanjiro's eyes widened towards my words and gave me the biggest hug ever. "(Y/N)..? I thought I would never see you again!! I haven't heard from you since we arrived at that Wisteria house with that letter you left behind!" "I would never leave you three completely behind! Just for a while, I didn't want to see you three dead." "Well right before I passed out before going on trial I thought I saw your dead body in threads." "Oh that, that was probably a vision." I lied through my mask. I then sat down on the ground, not wanting to go inside at all since it had an awful stench of Wisteria flowers and then I asked the three of them for a recap of what had gone down up until now. Zenitsu was happy to tell me the tale, though I had a feeling a few facts might have been altered to make each of them sound more manly. But once they finished they were getting tired so Zenitsu and Inosuke fought with each other while walking back inside to the estate getting ready for bed. But Tanjiro stayed outside. "Aren't you going back in?" I asked. He shook his head. "Umm, (Y/N), I have no idea how to ask this but, since you've been gone I have been feeling a bit... less since I last saw you. I know that sounds silly and odd but-" "No no, I totally understand. I have been feeling those strange feelings lately too, but they have been keeping me going in looking for you." "Really?!" his eyes lit up and sparkled just like the stars above our heads. "Yeah really, say... are the two knuckleheads inside yet?" He nodded his head and then I slipped off my mask and set it inside a pocket sewn in my haori. I quickly started using a bit of energy to hide the kanji in my eyes as I continued to let loose around Tanjiro. I then began to unbraid my hair and then I laid on my back looking up at the stars. I heard Tanjiro whisper, "I missed your face too." It brought a genuine smile to my face and it came with a warm feeling attached to it. I thought I was thinking to myself about my feelings but it turned out that I was totally thinking out loud and Tanjiro heard everything. I was "thinking", "I think, since I last saw you Tanjiro, I was a bit too emotionless, but I think they are all coming back now and you have been showing me what's missing. But I am unsure if I'll like it. I have not really had normal human emotions and such for a long time." Tanjiro didn't know how to respond but he knew I was speaking from the heart. "I mean I have never really had met a person as perfect as you and I have never been in a relationship but when my grandma was taking care of me for a bit she told me love may be right in front of me but I don't realize it before it's too late unless I do something about it." I made an exhale laugh and said, "That totally seems like grandma advice." I could sense that Tanjiro thought I was insulting her but then I spat out that I was complimenting her and saying that she along with other grandmas had really good straightforward advice. And right after I finished my thoughts a shooting star crossed our paths. I wished for something peaceful and I bet Tanjiro wished for humanity back to his sister. But then before my thoughts caught up with my body movements I caught my hand snaking up to Tanjiros. I grabbed his hand and held it tight.

"What did you wish for (Y/N)? Because I could only assume you know what I wished for."
"Well, wait.. Isn't it wishful law not to tell others their wishes or it won't come true?"

"I was hoping to hear your wish. I feel like I don't know you very well..."
"Well I'll start with this, thirty some years ago I trained to be in a spot you are in right now. I trained to slay demons, I mastered the wind breathing techniques and then passed final selection which forged me the sword you saw me fight with back at that little city. But it broke and I wish I was more careful with my blades because they were special to me. I became a demon when I had those blades."

"So wait, could you tell me how you became one?"
"I mean sure why not, it won't kill me."

One "life" story later...

"So you were turned directly by that bastard!"
"Sure, you could say that." He is no longer a bastard to me, I honestly think he redeemed himself.

"Thank you (Y/N), I always knew you would forgive me at some point."
My eyes widened at the thought of hearing Muzan's voice in my head but I quickly brushed it off so I could continue to talk with Tanjiro.

"Look Tanjiro, it's getting late so you should go to bed."

"Yeah your right. But will I see you again?"
"Of course! I'll visit here in a day or two again but up until then you have to tell my story to Zenitsu and Inosuke since I know they have been begging to hear it."

"Will do! But what if they ask to see your face?"

"I'll show it to them, it's no big deal anymore, I think they earned it."
