As the day, that so far had only been a bad one for Jisung, was coming to an end, he decided to take matters into hands and actually call it a night himself (since it was still relatively early).
He was really looking forward to just go to sleep and hope in a better day tomorrow, and was just about to close his books.

He really was done with studying for that day since he had spent the last two hours doing so, or at least trying to. So when Minho came into the room walking quickly and closing the door behind himself, he surely knew that study time was over anyways.

It was uncommon really, for Minho to stay in his room if the blonde was in it and the other way around most of the time, so he felt weirded out about the brunette actually coming in the bedroom.
Apparently intending to stay in it too, even with Jisung himself being still awake.

With not much thought, after shutting his books he dropped them on the floor and then proceeded to stretch his back that felt sore from his slouched position he kept while reading.
His back dramatically cracking attracting the attention of the older in the room.

But different from other times he got no reaction:
no mumbling or scoffing. The other seemed too preoccupied with something else to care about making a comment.

It wasn't like Minho at all.

As the day had started on the chilly side, with Jisung basically being forced to borrow Minho's sweater, it had actually morphed in a rainy day, as it was now very windy and the sky was quickly getting darker and darker.

It seemed like it was going to rain soon and in the distance faraway thunders could already be heard. Jisung felt some sort of way, almost euphoric at the though of a thunderstorm.
He liked going to sleep with heavy rain pouring down the sky first of all, second of all he was incredibly attracted to the phenomenon itself and lastly it sort of matched well with the bad mood he had had for the whole day.

On the very other side of the room though, someone else was clearly getting uncomfortable with the upcoming rain, soon to be a thunderstorm.
Even if he really was trying hard to not show it.

It wasn't like Minho was scared of thunderstorms.
It was just the fact that he really, utterly despised loud noises, and well thunders sounded exactly like exploding bombs, so no, he wasn't the biggest fun of them. Now the thing was, both Hyunjin and Seungmin knew and so he would usually stay in the same room with them, not at night of course, but they would most likely keep him occupied.

It has happened some times though, that Hyunjin had to sleep with the brunette since sometimes the storm went on really heavily at night time. But it was again, on very rare occasions. Now though, Hyunjin nor Seungmin were here to distract him, so he was really starting to feel anxious, his stomach knotted and feeling heavy.

Now, as he was previously staying in the living room with his cats watching a movie, at the sound of thunders he did the only thing he would usually do in that situation that is, to stay in a room with others and of course his only option available had to be Han Jisung.

In his opinion it was really the worst coincidence ever: As someone that barely needed or craved attention most of the time, this times in which he felt extremely anxious were the only moments in which he wouldn't reject physical comfort, or really any kind of comfort.

He tried to put on some music with his headphones first, but as the minutes went by he could hear the storm getting closer as he could now feel the loud thunders cracking the sky even with the volume being very high.

He couldn't even help the little scared jumps his body did at each of them, as he was very aware that the blonde was in his room and was currently not engaged in any activity. He knew Jisung had noticed already, yet it seemed like he wasn't going to ask.

Or at least he didn't for a few more minutes.

"What's wrong, what is it?" Jisung blurted out at some point and the brunette really felt like rolling his eyes. Why couldn't he just mind his own business?

"What? I don't know what you're talking about."
As if the sky was trying to mock him, in that exact moment, another thunder lightened the sky, making his body flinch again. It was obvious by now what the problem was, of course Jisung was looking at him that exact moment.

"Wait, are you afraid of thunderstorms?" Jisung hesitantly asked as if afraid that the brunette would attack him for his assumption. That unfortunately though, was correct.

"No. How did you even come up with that?" Minho immediately answered back, his uneasiness clear in his voice. He knew that Jisung had already figured it out, yet he still wasn't going to say it out loud.
Out of all people not to Han Jisung.

"Uhm, I don't know. You visibly flinched?"
The blonde unsurely pointed out.
He still didn't feel like arguing with the brunette, he wanted to sleep.

"You're hallucinating." Minho scoffed and of course on cue it happened again, a big flash of light and an heavy crash that made him, again, jump.

Jisung watched the whole thing unfold, his face expression blank as he shook his head and got under the covers of his bed, though without turning off the lights in the room.

For some reason Minho was starting to feel exasperated, where was Hyunjin when he needed him really? All this years of friendship and yet he was left home alone during a thunderstorm.

"Listen I don't know why I flinch. It's not the thunderstorm! It's the loud noise! Not the fact that it's releasing ten billion wats of electricity in like two seconds on the ground, I couldn't care less about that." Minho blurted out exasperated only seconds later.

"Do I even want to know why you know such precise informations or..? No, wait, I definitely don't." The blonde answered himself, of course the question being rhetorical. Yet, he still didn't like the idea of Minho being terrified by himself, so he kept up a small conversation.

"Anyways, uhm, how do you deal with this?" The blonde gestured to the window not wanting to further aggravate the situation, he could tell that the brunette was feeling extremely anxious.
He could tell by his frantic eyes and light shaking in his voice.

"Well, ehm, if it's day time Hyunjin usually tries to keep me occupied with things and if it's night time he stays in bed with me sometimes and yeah-,"

"Oh, if that's it you could- oh wait, no, never mind."

Meanwhile another thunder cracked the dark sky.
The strong lightning shortly being followed by a loud noise. It made the window's glassΒ  shake.
At this Minho squeezed his eyes closed trying to compose himself in front of the blonde, even if it was of no use.

"What were you saying?" Minho asked trying to distract himself just a bit.

"I-uhm, I was going to ask if you wanted to lay down with me but then I realized that I didn't want to get insulted or anything, so I stopped myself from asking."

"Actually.." Minho looked extremely anxious while frantically looking between Jisung and the window behind the guy, knowing that it was only a matter of seconds til the next one.

"Uhm, can you lie with me but like in my bed since it's further away from the window?" Minho asked without even looking Jisung's way.

After a few seconds of silence from the blonde he heard the other move and getting up, "I guess.."

Jisung walked towards the other's bed with his own blanket under his arm, Minho was just sitting up staring at him.

"Well move, where am I supposed to lie down?" The blonde gestured to the bed.

At this Minho seemed to come back to his senses and basically glued himself to the wall while Jisung sat on his bed, though instead of getting under Minho's covers he covered himself with his own blanket keeping the most distance he could manage between himself and the brunette.

It wasn't the best comfort ever, but at least it was something. At least he knew there was someone close to him and that was enough for Minho to feel a little safer.

"We don't talk about this, ever again, okay?" Minho then pointed out, his eyes fixated on the ceiling not daring looking at the blonde. He had too much pride for that.

"Of course." Jisung muttered, it's not like he would have made fun of the older anyways, so it wasn't anything that needed to be pointed out in his opinion.

With Minho receiving the answer he wanted to hear he could feel 'safe' enough to go to sleep.
Hopefully he wasn't going to regret this in the morning.
