Jaehyun was in the veranda, seated on a chair while he looked at the still dark sky even though it's already morning. He couldn't sleep. His mind couldn't stop thinking about what happened.
Everything felt empty without Taeyong.
He grabbed his wine glass to take a sip on the white wine. Slowly, he held up the wedding ring Taeyong gave to him. Just looking at it, it reminded him that he lost Taeyong. He put the ring inside his palm and tightly gripped onto it.
He's afraid Taeyong might want to divorce. Probably, he will. He doesn't even know what to do. Should he plead not to? He can't lose Taeyong. He didn't want to.
The man stood and walked into the bedroom. He walked towards the bed and placed the ring on top of the bedside table, infront of their wedding picture which was framed nicely. He sighed as he looked at his ring.
He took a grip on it as he slowly removed his ring, as well, and placed it beside Taeyong's.
I'll come back for you.
Jaehyun was already in his suit. He would always stand infront of the bathroom mirror to fix himself and wait until Taeyong would come and help him with his hair and necktie. Today was different.
He goes downstairs with his coat on his forearm and car keys in his hand. He was greeted by his maids when he passed by the kitchen. Usually, Taeyong would be the first one who'll greet him in the morning. Taeyong would always cook him breakfast even though Jaehyun would get annoyed because he'll be working on his laptop while eating breakfast.
He just got selfish.
"Please, forget cooking for me. I'll be eating my meals outside from now on," Jaehyun said sternly.
The maids nodded, but before the man could even walk out of the house, the front doors suddenly opened. Jaehyun really hoped it was Taeyong but it was too good to be true.
"Hyung," Jaehyun called.
Johnny looked at the man and nodded, "Hey. I'm just here to get some of Taeyong's clothes"
"Okay...Our room is this way," Jaehyun uttered before he walked upstairs with Johnny behind him.
The man furrowed his eyebrows, "I did expect you to stop me."
Jaehyun shrugged, "I have no choice."
Both of them walked into the room. Johnny looked around and it was obviously Taeyong's style. It was just clean and very organized.
"Here's Taeyong's luggage," Jaehyun said and opened it for him to put some clothing inside.
Johnny nodded before he looked over by the bed and saw their wedding picture with their wedding rings just infront.
"So, Taeyong gave back the wedding ring?" Johnny asked.
Jaehyun looked back at the bedside table where the rings was before he goes back on getting Taeyong's stuff.
"Yeah...He did."
Johnny sighed and started folding some clothing, "I wanna punch you right now, I really do. But I know Taeyong would get mad at me if I do that so I'll leave everything to the two of you...Maybe what I did to you last night was enough to somehow get my feelings out."
"Can I...talk to him?"
"I'm sorry, but let him have some space. Both of you. Let yourselves have some peace of mind."
Jaehyun looked upset but he just nodded and respected what Johnny said.
"Taeyong will be having a week off, if it's okay. You can just call me if you want to ask him something," Johnny said as he carried the luggage and put it inside his car.
Jaehyun nodded, "Alright..."
The man patted Jaehyun's shoulder, "You guys will get through it. I just hope you'll respect his decisions."
"Of course...Just let him know, I'm waiting for him," Jaehyun uttered.
Johnny nodded, "By the way, I'm getting married," the man gave an envelope for Jaehyun to read, "We'll be flying to US by the end of the month for preparation and for a vacation."
The man looked at the letter inside and all names that were invited were written.
"You coming?"
Jaehyun nodded, "Of course...I'll be there."
"Great. I'll see you!"
As soon as Johnny drove away, Jaehyun gets inside of his vehicle to go to his office as soon as possible. He's already late and he needs to be in a meeting in 15 minutes.
He grabbed his phone when he was on stop light and was about to call his secretary, but he remembered his secretary, Taeyong, is on leave. Jaehyun just threw his phone to the side and heavily sighed.
Jaehyun gripped onto the steering wheel, "He's on leave...Don't call him. Alright, Jaehyun?"
Give him a week.
