Early in the morning, Taeyong and Ten were currently in the cathedral that the wedding would be held. There's a week and a few days left before the day, and things were in a good shape. The theme was white and different shades of lavender.
Taeyong was helping with the arrangements of the venue. Not to mention, he likes how the cathedral looked aesthetically old. The whole place was known for its historical heritage. It was pretty and Taeyong felt like he was in a different year.
"Looks good, doesn't it?" Ten asked.
Taeyong nodded and looked around. The vases were on place, the carpet, the arc by the entrance and other small pieces that made everything looked nice. There were still things to be fixed, like the flowers, lighting and the flow of the ceremony.
"Has Johnny seen this?" Taeyong asked.
Ten hummed, "Not yet, but he already saw the cathedral. He holds the reception by the beach. You wanna see it?"
The boy nodded while the both of them started walking into the car, "Sure. That's what I'm here for. Also, we need to go to see your suit, the cake and food tasting, the props, the bachelors' party and even the invitations."
Ten chuckled, "Just so you know, you aren't my secretary. You're Jaehyun's."
Taeyong furrowed his eyebrows and remembered what happened last night between him and Jaehyun. It's awkward to just let them sleep beside each other so casually. Jaehyun didn't push the idea of letting him sleep on the bed with Taeyong. In fact, he was the one who volunteered to sleep on the couch.
Well, Taeyong somehow felt guilty. He was just looking at Jaehyun who was grabbing a pillow and blanket. The man noticed the stare so he stared back at the boy.
"Are you going to say something?" Jaehyun asked teasingly.
Taeyong blushed, "Nothing!"
"What's with the stare then?"
Taeyong looked away and pouted, "Are you okay sleeping on the couch?"
The boy said it in a low voice but the man clearly heard it.
Jaehyun nodded, "Of course, unless you want me to sleep beside you."
"No! S-Sleep on the couch..."
The man smiled and stood, "I'll give you as much space as you want. I don't want to be awkward with you."
Taeyong stayed quiet.
"Good night, Taeyong."
Well, it wasn't bad. Taeyong was just embarrassed with his actions. In the morning, nothing went wrong. Jaehyun woke up earlier than Taeyong. Actually, Taeyong woke up in an empty room.
Both boys arrived in the reception shortly. They hopped out of the car and walked towards the tent. River saw them immediately ran towards them.
"Mama!" River called.
Ten carried him and kissed his cheeks, "Where's daddy?"
The baby pointed at his father that was talking with the planner. Taeyong looked around and it was just a simple reception area. White chairs and tables were set up. Some vases on top of the tables and still working on the others. There are some lamps and other designs that should be added.
"Oh, hey, you're here," Johnny said and pecked on Ten's lips.
Taeyong nodded at his brother and didn't mind Jaehyun who was just seating on a chair, probably staring at him.
"Let Taeyong see it. Maybe you want to add something?" Johnny uttered.
The boy looked at the drawing of the planner. Taeyong nodded at it, "Yeah, looks good. There are still things that should work on. Other than that, it looks good. But how 'bout we...move these chairs just to make an entrance?"
Taeyong walked by where the entrance should be, "Move these and maybe put an arc just like at the cathedral. People these days will take a picture of everything. It'll be a nice thing to add as well."
The boy looked at the couple who was just staring at him, trying to imagine what Taeyong said.
"But it's still your decision. It's your wedding, not mine."
Johnny chuckled, "It was good, we'll add it."
Taeyong nodded. The couple goes back on the plan and discussed with the planner. The boy's eyes unconsciously looked at the man. Jaehyun raised an eyebrow which just made Taeyong to furrow his and immediately looked away.
"Uncle Yong!"
Taeyong looked down and saw River. He carried the baby, "What? Do you want anything?"
"I want to swim! Swim~"
The boy looked at the water and seemed like it'll be fine. Taeyong nodded and walked on the sand towards the water. He stood to where the wet sand is. He puts River down who was holding a toy boat. Taeyong didn't know that he has a toy boat.
"I thought he'd be a seaman someday."
Taeyong looked beside him and saw Jaehyun who was looking at River. The boy furrowed his eyebrows.
"A seaman?" Taeyong crossed his arms and put up a small smile.
Jaehyun shrugged, "Yeah, I just thought it'll be nice."
The boy looked at the baby who was playing the boat on the water. River was having fun and splashing around.
"You like foreseeing things, don't you?" Taeyong said as he kicked the sand.
Jaehyun shrugged, "I do it just for fun."
Jaehyun wanted to bring up about what he thought their child would be in the future, but he'd rather keep it to himself. He knew how much it would make Taeyong uncomfortable. This subtle moment would be for the best for them.
It's a good baby step.
"Hey!"
Both of them looked behind to see Johnny calling them.
"We're about to leave! Let's go!"
Jaehyun goes to carry River, "Let's go, bud. We need to go somewhere."
Taeyong couldn't help but look at them. Honestly, Jaehyun looks good to be a dad.
