vinnie takes you to a baseball game

a/n: i'm a cubs fan so i'm just going to write this in the perspective of a cubs game but you can imagine whatever team you want

y/n's pov:

today vinnie was taking me to a cubs game. i haven't been to a cubs game in a while since moving to la. they were playing the dodgers today at dodger stadium. we were currently in the car on the way to the stadium. it was about 20 minutes from our house so we left about an hour and a half before the game so we could find parking. i wore my happ #8 jersey (ian happ) and vinnie wore a plain blue cubs shirt and his dodgers hat. why he did that i don't know i'm just glad he didn't where his sox hat. he found parking about a block from the stadium so it wasn't that far from the stadium.

v: ready love?

y/n: yes

we both got out of the car and started walking towards dodger stadium. vinnie started guiding me to our seats and sat down right next to visitors dugout aka for the next 4 days the cubs dugout.

y/n: vinnie you got us seats right next to their dugout!?

i say shocked

v: yeah. you haven't been to a game in a while and i know how much you love them.

y/n: thank you vin, i love you

i leaned over to kiss him just as some of the players were coming out of the dugout to sign some things

v: love you more princess

happ: hey guys, you got anything you want me to sign?

y/n: uh yeah can you sign my jersey please

i asked him taking it off

happ: of course. what are y'alls names?

y/n: i'm y/n

v: and i'm vinnie

after he signed it he handed it back to me and started making conversation with me and vinnie

happ: how long have you guys been together?

v: 5 years in january

happ: how old are y'all?

y/n: both 19

happ: highschool sweethearts, my favorite

happ: hey javy! come here

javy: what's up?

happ: these two are just like you and irmarie, highschool sweethearts.

javy: that just means your going to last forever he says laughing since he's married to his highschool sweetheart and they have 2 kids

me and vinnie both laugh with him

javy; would you like me to sign anything?

y/n: my jersey please

i say taking it off once again

y/n: thank you guys i say to them as they go back into the dugout

the game starts about 45 minutes later as the cubs are the first to bat. the game ends and the cubs win 4-0. ian happ comes to me and vinnie after the game asking if we wanted to go to dinner with him and the team after they shower and change.

y/n: of course. what time?

happ: um does 7 o'clock sound good?

v: yeah that sounds good

happ: okay here's my number so we can talk

y/n: thanks ian

v: we'll text you closer to 7

vinnie grabbed my hand as we started walking to the car

y/n: this has been an amazing day thank you vin

v: love seeing my girl happy, of course love

we both smiled at each other before walking into the parking lot and getting in the car, going home to get ready for dinner with the boys
