It's 2am and I am still awake, it's been a while since I've slept on time. I feel that I can process better at night
I mean it's quiet and I don't have to rush to do anything
I can just be in my own space and spend time to myself.
Simply put, I think nights are so beautifully pleasing.
Also the stars are so bright tonight.
It's almost that I can see the little bear in the sky
I like it here,
It's calm yet fierce at the same time.
As I was deep into my thoughts suddenly
The wind swished on my face and my curly hair couldn't take it and now they are all over my face and the rest of them are in the air flowing
I think I am gonna close the window now or else the time isn't far when my hair is gonna fly away with the wind
Also it's really chilly outside I am kinda getting goosebumps and shivers
I mean I don't want to wake up being sick as the first thing in the morning

Oh god! I've always had some issue with these white curtains everytime I close my window they always get stuck in it
It's really a hassle, i think one day they are gonna get ripped up and that wouldn't be my fault I swear.

Anyways what's the time, IT'S 4 ALREADY!!!
Fuck!!! it's too late I should probably go to sleep now or I'll be late for my classes tomorrow.

COLLEGE  OH SHITT!!

I quickly jumped off my bed, which was not a great idea as I hurt my ankle
I mean, what a great start to a day.
I swiftly took a shower.
Oh dear god! my hair look too messy
I don't know why people compliment me that they love my curls because I absolutely hate them they are so annoying
I think I am gonna wear my wide leg denim with black crop top and a varsity jacket on top with my Nike panda shoes.
I mean, I like being comfy.

After getting ready I grabbed my black bag and ran downstairs
I am leaving for college

Waitttt you haven't had your breakfast yet
Wait whatt this is mom's voice but how is it possible she was suppose to be in London

I turned around and yup there she was
Happy birthday my Elle bell she said while giving me a hug

I think only Elle will do mom.
Oh baby You've grown up so fast but for me you'll always be my Elle bell who used to wear 4 slippers 2 on her hands and 2 on her feet because she thought that how cats walk is the only way of walking

Laughing at me she said go eat your breakfast it's on the table

As I was already late I quickly put two slice of bread in my mouth and ran towards my car

The car!!
Ohh no! I forgot my car keys
Why am I so careless
I hurriedly went back to the room and grabbed my car keys and left for college

Thankfully I made it just in time
Why are you so late?? A familiar sound came from behind

I turned around and saw this girl with ash brown straight hair wearing these funky clothes standing there

Yup! She's Jen we went to high school together
Back then she was too cool for school

Well that didn't change much
Jen and I are best friends
We were inseparable since from the first day we met

I remember how I was new to the school and bumped into her and fell in the cafeteria
Everyone was laughing at me except for Jen
Though now she always makes fun of me because of the way I fell back then.
But she's Jen my best friend so it's acceptable.

Why the fuck are you running on the first day of college she asked and hugged me happy birthday Elle, I've something for you

Excitedly I asked what is it ??
Not now Elle you gotta wait till the classes are over. okay now I am gonna head toward my class, will see you.

Why does she always have to leave me in suspense
Now the only thing that I can think about right now is that gift. How am I suppose to wait that long? Ahhhh! I hate this.

I went to my class as that was the only thing I could do but for some weird reason I forgot my book
Oh god this is so embarrassing the day has not even started and I made a complete fool of myself

After few classes I went to the cafeteria
And A random guy spilled his cold coffee on me
So ya! Like I said what a great start to a day.

I am so sorry I don't know where my mind was

No not many it'll just be one I said and left to attend the rest of my classes

Finally, the 1st day of college was over.
Right now I am waiting for Jen I don't know how much longer she's gonna take to come out.

JEN here, I waved at her
She came and we left for her house

So you're still not gonna tell me what you got for me I asked
Nope just wait for some more time we're almost home

FINE! I said rolling my eyes
She smirked

We reached her house and Mrs Watson opened the door, she's her mom
She's super sweet and owns a bakery across the street where I absolutely love to go
She makes the best waffles in the world

Oh hi Elle happy birthday dear, Jen told me you'll be here today so I made you your favourite waffles.
Oh my god! thank you Mrs Watson that's really sweet of you.

I ate the waffles and went to Jens room
Where is it give it to me I said

I closed my eyes and could feel a small box placed over my hand
I opened my eyes and saw a small cute little floral box with a white shiny bow made with ribbon on the top of it.

Can I open it now?
Yes Elle you can she said while smiling.
Eagerly I untie the ribbon and opened the box
Inside of which I found a letter, I took it out of the box and read it.

   Dear Elle
  Today is your birthday so I am gonna tell you            
  something's that I've never told you before.
  you know how I am not a person who can show
  emotions really easily and because of that I look
  like a really cold person who doesn't care about
  anyone.
  But I want you to know that you're a person I
  care about a lot  you've been there for me since 
  the day I met you and I can't thank you enough 
  for that. You are the one person I come to when
  things are too hard for me to handle
  U always give me hope even when you don't
say anything.
  I love how I can be completely myself around

As I finished reading the letter I was crying like a fool.
This was too emotional for me .I mean I started crying way back when I read dear Elle and
With tears in my eyes I hugged Jen.

So I looked in the box and found a pretty beaded bracelet with my name on it

With my glittery eyes I put the bracelet on

A voice came from downstairs
Yes dad! She replied and went downstairs
And I followed her
We'll be going on a family dinner today
Where would you like to go? He asked her
Very enthusiastically she responded what about that rooftop restaurant that opened recently
It's so beautiful can we go there dad please!

I would love to Mr Watson but I really have to go home today.

Oh ya! dad it's her birthday today she must be going somewhere for dinner too

Sure let's do that.
Jen tried so many dresses but at the end she decided to go with her little black  dress with black faux fur jacket along with silver hoops and black boots.

After deciding her dress I left for home,
I wonder what would be happening at home right now
Dad must have come home early today from work to celebrate my birthday.
What present is he gonna give me?
Is he gonna surprise me with that family trip to the mountains the one where I always wanted to go?
Or is he gonna surprise me with a nice dinner?
Thinking about all the possible gifts my dad could give me I reached home

It was 7 in the evening the air has now become colder.
But, I was happy standing here on the front porch of my house
I was about to enter the house when I got a call from dad,

I think he's probably gonna ask me where am I and when am I gonna come home,
But little did he know that I am already outside the house.
I picked up the call with a big smile

Thank you dad, I replied happily.
I am sorry dear I won't be able to come home tonight, got some urgent work to finish.
Can you please inform mom not to make dinner for me as I'll be having dinner outside with my colleagues after finishing the work

As he hung up the phone I stood there quietly, staring at the front door a tear trickled down my cheek, wiping it off I opened the door and entered.
