The detectives led by Wawa Onset, deputized by Kamili and their team aided by officers Travis and Balance were stitching pieces of damning evidences pointing at the possible killers of reformed convict Pastata and officer Schwa despite many traps and obstructions laid by Escobar and Nabil.

Onset: This black polythene bag features prominently.

Kamili: What I can't understand was whether it was the serving plate or just a carrier bag.

Onset: If it was a carrier bag it couldn't have been torn into pieces

Kamili: Who're regular users of the office?

Onset: The office is under the senior warder's jurisdiction.

Wawa and Kamili walked into Escobar's office. After instructions and request by the two officers he provided the key and joined them to pinhole room. Fortunately or unfortunately officer Nabil also joined from nowhere.

Kamili: Officer Escobar?

Escobar: Yes sir!

Kamili: Doesn't this black polythene portend anything to you?

Escobar: It doesn't unless we analyze the sample therein.

Onset: Analysis reveal same toxic substance that was found in his body.

Escobar: That must be one of biodegradable substance in the polythene. I wonder why the government lifted the ban on the use of polythene.

Kamili: Are you sure that was captured in the report?

Onset: (Thinking deeply) I doubt.

Escobar: How could they fail to link such an open possibility?

Kamili: You think it is that open?

Nabil:( Too restrained)  Escobar is right. What's the composition of polythene?

Onset: (Holding polythene) This a carbon compound.

Escobar : Monomer made from carbon and hydrogen atoms, to be precise. Those aren't food. Are they?

Onset: No!

Kamili: Neither are they floating impurities.Aren't they?

Escobar: The fact is that they're impurities and possible leads to a conclusion.

Onset: Wouldn't that open many options than narrowing it?

Kamili: Exactly my worry with taking that route.

Nabil: Nothing like that in Investigation. Sometimes it starts from simple to complex.

Escobar: The fear of facing the industrialists in the Court is the force hijacking most Investigations.

Nabil: Very unfortunate conspiracy against the poor perpetuated by the middle class in executive, judicial and legislative branches.

Onset: Investigation isn't hijacked officers Nabil and Escobar. We can still investigate everyone in the station with plastic utensils

Nabil: What's the need for that?

Escobar: That's the diversion we've talking about. How do you accuse helpless custodians of law and order?

Kamili: Officers Escobar and Nabil I think you're contradicting yourselves. For us to widen the scope to be a position of facing industrials we need to show that everyone who used plastic utensils suffered poisoning the same day.

Onset: Exactly.  Atleast someone understands my line of argument.

Kamili: Officers Escobar, the food was eaten right in this office. True or false?

Nabil: True according what you're carrying.

Kamili: Escobar is that right?

Escobar: Nabil has said everything. But you understand we don't manufacture polythene here. Am I right?

Onset: (Leads Kamili out of pinhole room) Let's be prepared to be a solution to the process especially when our own is involved.

Escobar closed the door behind Wawa and Kamili. The two walked back to Commander Bond's office.

Onset: Did you decipher anything from the two?

Kamili: What are they experimenting. Isn't that the least we expected of an officer?

Onset: (Recording. Closing file before walking out) We did the best to contact them to get the distorted version of the force. What do you think?

Kamili: (Follows Onset) The work has taken a different direction. I hope you know that?

Onset: (Closing the office behind him) We can go and relax like the rest. We've a responsibility to our body than anything else.

After the social weekend, officers Balance and Travis were holed back in their office with new findings from Kidz.

Travis: I never thought the day would be that a success.

Balance: The play games were well coordinated.

Travis: I didn't expect those kids to that daring to cross the lake using locally made canoes.

Balance: That is the sweetness of such outings: Hilarious and the unexpected.

Travis: Have you heard of anything unexpected in terms of security?

Balance: No incident reported. No criminal in his right senses can ram into the community.

Travis: Isn't that contrary to the intelligence report?

Balance: No intelligence report when unintelligent and untrustworthy officers are involved.

Travis: By the way did you link with Wawa and Kamili?

Balance: I didn't see them. Did they attend social Sunday?

Travis: They came late. They reported having hard time with Escobar and Nabil?

Balance: What you tell them?

Travis: What did you expect. To report or blackmail them?

Balance:(Caressing Travis) That isn't your nature. You're the most professional officer I know my dear Travis.

Travis: (Cautious. Giving Balance a list) Be careful. We're in public office. Go through this list.

They found a comprehensive list of poisonous plants prepared by children both from Okuro and Mu Empire.

Balance: (Reading closely) Who led this collection?

Travis: The whole set of Matar led by Omwa. From Okuro were delivered the office of Saldana after the Kidz led by Gal did the compilation.

Balance: (Still Reading) There are common plants from both sides.

Travis : (Caressing and kissing Balance) I like working with you. You're super intelligent.

Balance :(Caressing Travis back) You're my inspiration

The team  narrowed their scope to Mu Empire as their center of interest. But first they considered seeing Medicinas to get the final verdict on the potency of the poison that could terminate life.

Travis:(Holding Balance gently) Don't you think going to Medicinas would be good idea?

Balance: That's the best option. Which day would be appropriate ?

Travis: Do you have the reports from mama Sabina?

Earlier, the team had corroborated the report from Sabina's grandma who claimed that the weed that was used was variety of cassava plant whose leaves, whose leaves when mixed with the immature roots and stem , was an instant killer concoction.

Balance: (Going through files and reports) Here it's. Including audio reports from series of interviews we had with locals.

Officers Travis and Balance had visited several homes to share and deepen the ideas so far. They heard overwhelming reports about dead livestock that consumed cassava leaves and peels and precautions on why they shouldn't be dumped carelessly. There were harrowing tales about homes that had herds of cattle then but were at the verge of poverty due to careless management between cassava and animals.

Travis: This is comprehensive. Have you shared it with any officer in Investigations team?

Balance: You know I can't do that without your consent.

Travis: That gives control and undistracted focus.

Balance: If they had seen the specific weed we would be done already.

Travis: It wasn't a specific weed that makes it a mystery. We wouldn't be investigating anything.

Balance: Are you confirming the urgency to see Medicinas to unravel the mystery?

Travis: ( Setting her table before leaving her seat)  Let's leave immediately.

Balance: Brilliant decision. I hope we've everything we need. Don't we.

Travis: (Handing him the bag) Carry this to the vehicle.

Balance: (Takes the bag and walks out) Okay. Let me make arrangements for enough provisions for the mission.

Travis: Don't worry. Great Saldana is involved. Do you know what that means?

Balance: Are you serious. Did you link with her?

Travis: (Closes the door) Just do the needful. The rest will follow.

On the same social weekend, Chief Bula, after meeting his assistant Ndula and his elder Jwala to iron out their differences, decided to visit Chief Mulo in the station to tighten and possibly tighten loose ends in the ongoing investigations.

Mulo: You said earlier your assistant and elder are planning a rebellion?

Bula: I warned them not to try me.

Mulo: And you think they've heeded your warning?

Bula: Are you underestimating me?

Mulo: How would I from what you did to Pastata and that girl?

Bula: We need a serious sensitization on cassava consumption.

Mulo: Cassava is a staple food for our people and it's overtaking potatoes

Bula: There is danger to human and animals behind its mushrooming takeover. We need awareness campaign.

Mulo: Be open with me. You know I can't fund what can't benefit me.

Bula: Sometimes God rewards you for warning the endangered population. Invest in this trajectory.

Mulo: That needs direct government intervention which you know how to initiate

Bula: You know cassava vegetable is not global. Raw cassava can be very toxic when people ingest it.

Mulo: I now understand what you meant with trajectory.

Bula: Being inside has eaten part of your antenna Mulo

Mulo placed a call to Maxima who received immediately since he been frustrated by Adada and his cohorts who had gone mute the whole day. CHIEF Mulo used Chief Bula's line .

Mulo: Hello. This is Chief Mulo through Bula's line.

Maxima:(humour) You're with that danger man. What is he after?

Mulo: He's monitoring Investigations progress.

Chief Bula was smiling like a devil's incarnate with all teeth out and his eyes were all tears of joy being registered in anal of crime as a dreaded agent was a great feat and a breakthrough to him than chieftaincy.

Maxima: They're closing in. I'm informed they're using those small devils.

Mulo: You know that direction is very deadly. I'm monitoring their moves here. We've to do something.

Maxima: What's the interest?

Mulo: Big thing is mine fields but you know I need Chief on the ground now that they're bonded them out?

Maxima: What do you suggest in particular?

Mulo: We need Publilus to cover cassava poisoning and possibility of linking it with the death of officer and the other

Maxima: (Smiling cheekily) That is also from devil himself?

'RESTRAINED LAUGHERS'

Mulo: He has amazed me too

Maxima: Count it done. Extend my regards. I have wired something for him already

Mulo: Regards extended already. Thanks Max

The News Master, Publilus News focus covered the Tourism Potential of Mu Empire with good editorial pictures of children casual wears and challenged the investors to donate swimming gears and costumes in addition to protecting shorelines. He highlighted other investments like hospitality management, water and other beach sports targeting holiday revelers, both local and international.

Publilus also covered Casava (Tapioca) as a worldwide staple food consumed by over 800 million people. However he cautioned cassava contains cyanide which is acutely toxic. He hinted that cassava may also have carcinogenic potential despite many advantages as a crop to the subsistence farmers.

Publilus hinted a possibility of cassava poisoning in the ongoing Investigations and blamed the government for starving the force and leaving them at the mercy of the community who were impoverished already and the least they could give was poisonous cassava.

According to blogger Herdsman and using uploaded pictures of Publilus's publication, officer Schwa succumbed to cassava poisoning and many will still die if the government failed to improve welfare of police officers. Apart from what Publilus had posted, Herdsman had included actual photos of Pastata and Schwa while consuming cassava in the interior of the villages. Instead of outpouring sympathies and condolences to the families:

#Runawaythieves . Many comments alleged than the officers were excessively exorbitant. They argued that government should protect the community from such jackals. They claimed they knew the big fish behind the cartel within the station

#Starvingofficers. The leading comment asserted that the police was starved by seniors who didn't care about the work in the stations but cared about cutting deals with barons. They claimed officers were eating like goats and sheep when their counterpart were floating in opulence.

#Poisonousofficers . The leading blog argued that cassava had killed their own with several laughing Emoji that nailed and stirred the netizens.

When Escobar found Monday paper he read the most unexpected but wished it wasn't the headlines. He wondered why a paper dedicate such a huge section for Kidz but just highlighting a small section to poisoned officers.

Nonetheless he was happy since the blame was shifted to the government. But he again thought of the first hashtag and realized he was nearly mentioned as the jackal that the public urged the government to shield the community from.

Escobar walked to the facility after reading the papers severally and headed straight to Chief Mulo where he was fixing some broken furnitures as part of honing his skills within the facility.

Chief Bula was dying with laughter as he read the trending online news and wished he could go to the station to see Chief Mulo for the second day consecutively. As if there was a connection in how they were thinking, chief Mulo requested for Escobar's handset which he used to reach Chief Bula immediately as he entered into the pinhole room.

Mulo : Hello!

Bula: Hello Chief it has gone viral!

Mulo: Viral is understatement!

Bula:  I didn't know Publilus would buy our school of thought that cheaply

Mulo: That boy is intelligent. His arguments are purely Professional.

Bula: Poking the eyes of the government isn't Professional. Unless you've stopped being the officer I have known.

Mulo: In my next life after this lockup, if God grants me freedom, I would like to be a politician. Protecting the law is a big scam.

Bula: Than making the law. I think it's other way round?

Mulo: In legislature, it's law and norm to scam. There's privileged protections. What do we've in administration?

Bula: Are you suggesting I go for assembly to enjoy assembly supremacy than justifying sins of omission and commission forever?

Mulo: You're at the doorstep of power. You're astute strategist. Maxima regards you so much.

Bula: You talk as if you've given me a job in your campaign team already.

Mulo: Focus on what you've just said. Playing second fiddle isn't your portion. You can start it small we'll build it when I'm out.

Bula: Thanks for the challenge. You mentioned Maxima. How's he?

Mulo: Thank you very much bro I have never seen a comrade like you. I'm fixing some furniture. Goodbye for now. You've airtime and space. You can link with Maxima.

Bula: I'm touched Chief it shall be well. Keep the hope alive.

Escobar was very attentive to their conversation. He suspected a hand in the that news but he had not idea how to approach it. Chief Mulo walked into pinhole where Escobar was waiting with swollen face after listening Mulo and Bula conversation.

Escobar: Does Bula want to run for MCA?

Mulo: Haven't you thought of running for Political office?

Escobar: I love the service.

Mulo: What do like with service. Being grilled by your juniors?

Escobar: Where did you get that?

Mulo: What did you do to police force that they can't give you iota of respect?

Escobar: Did you eavesdrop at our conversation?

Mulo: You see your problem about seen heard and not being heard but you've no protection. Suppose you were a politician?

Escobar:(Keenly focusing on newspaper) Did you in anyway have a hand in this news?

Bula: How could I do that. Shouldn't I be asking you?

Escobar: The news are so damaging to police unfortunately you were very high. Where is your source of inspiration?

Mulo: Consider politics Escobar. Now you'll have paraded the whole of your village to protect needless grilling. By the way don't you realize you're targeted?

Escobar: Who might have told you that?

Mulo: The only way out of this trust deficit is politics. Haven't you made enough money?

Escobar: How much is enough money?

Mulo: Enough to keep to keep everyone dumb and blind not to mind what you say and do.

Escobar:(Pointing the newspaper) I heard you mentioning Maxima in your call. Is that this his handiwork?

Mulo: (Walks to the door) Who should be giving you new officer Escobar. What didn't I give. Do I owe you anything?

Escobar:  I don't mean that. But know that if there's anyway he's involved, this is blackmail and the force including commander will not take it lightly.

Mulo:(Before closing the door behind him) You can reach him and advice me accordingly. Expect my airtime.

From Capitol University Referral, the goon squad sent by Maxima to murder Prof Anam caused stampede as they ransacked the facility in vain in search for the body of the don that forced many patients, nurses, doctors, caregivers and other medical professionals to escape through the emergency doors, windows and other exit routes. Doctor Quick arrival at the facility was greeted by deep shock and disbelief as he found the facility cordoned with many personnel and patients, some barely with any body cover skedaddled helpless.

Patients under social service program, especially those who were held for lack of medical fees took advantage of the mayhem to escape with medical gadgets still stuck in their body. The special team of three— Oduwo, Yamo and led by one eyed sleuth called Kwach.

Kwach:(walking in hospital's walkway) Search everywhere!

Oduwo:(Ordering as he walks around. A cleaner trying to escape through the window) You. What do you think you're doing?

Cleaner: Please spare me!

Oduwo: (Furious as he orders guard around) Come down immediately. Kneel here. Have you seen Prof Anam?

Guard: No I don't know him.

Yamo: Go back to your position.

Kwach :(Calling as he walks out to the reception) Wind! Chafu! Leave immediately!

Yamo and Oduwo retreated back to the reception where Kwach was grilling the hospital staff as he went through the records.

Kwach:  You mean none of you has seen him?

Hospital adm: We've no Prof Anam in our facility. Everyone passes through our desk.

Oduwo: That is the same information I got from.

Kwach and his team walked out of the facility before crossing the road the right pavement. They walked a few metres downwards before Kwach made a call to Maxima.

Kwach: Hello boss!

Maxima: Hello. His he down?

Kwach: Who told you he was here?

Maxima: That's the facility he's registered for specialized
