The restlessness to see Oliver was taking the best of me. The busy traffic of New York City had never bothered me as much as it was doing it today.

"How much more time till we reach?" I asked for the nth time to the driver.

"Just 5 more minutes ma'am" he replied turning the wheels to the narrowest street I have ever seen.
"You said that 5 minutes back" I complained. Rose placed her hand on mine and said, " Calm down Sam. We are almost there".

I sighed in desperation. The ugly conversation I had with Oliver last time was replaying in my mind again and again. How could I be so cold? How could I not see his love for me? He was there for me all this time. Even when I shut my heart off.

Just when I was about ask the driver again about the arrival time, the car stopped in front of the hospital.

"We'll get down here, you go park the car", Oliver's mom said opening the door. Me and Ben got down too and all of us rushed to the ICU to see Oliver.

"Mom, where were you? I have been calling you since last one hour." Claire said as soon as she saw her mom.
"I went to get ...." before she could complete Claire saw me and almost screamed. "Sam!".
" Where is he? How is he?" I asked in shaking voice.

"He is stable now. Out of coma. I was calling mom to tell this only" she said smiling.

I gave a sigh of relief, " oh thank god, thank god he is fine", I said and looked at her mom.

Nodding her head she said, " go, go see him".
And I rushed as Claire pointed towards his room.

I opened the door lightly to see if he is awake. The nurse was giving him shots. Seeing him fine, brought peace to me. I leaned further on the door to have better look at him and the door made a creaky sound.

Both of them turned their face towards me.
"Sam!", he said surprised to see me there.
"How did you? Who told you about? Er... come in" , he said.

I walked in slowly moving towards his bed.
"Look Sam, I am really sorry for everything. I really am. I can't even explain to you how sorry I am for not trusting you. Sam I am begging you...." and before he could plead anymore I stopped him by placing my lips over his.

"Don't be sorry anymore. I am sorry, I am so so sorry for hurting you, again and again. I love you. I love you so much Oliver" I said kissing him over and over.

He looked into my eyes, as if trying to check if I am telling the truth or not, and I smiled. "God, I missed you. I missed you a lot" he said kissing me back.

"I missed you too. Even when I was mad at you. I never stopped loving you. I couldn't. I can't ever." I said as tears rolled down my cheeks.

"I thought I lost you forever. You were so cold towards me. And it was painful. I've never felt such pain ever in my life. It was difficult to breathe knowing that you are not with me" he said wiping my tears.

"Promise me Sam, you'll never leave me ever." He said holding my hands.

Kissing on the back of his hand I said," I promise ".
"And I promise to never let your trust break again Sam" he said and I kissed him again.

"Ok alright, now can we get a turn to talk to the patient" We heard Oliver's mom speaking from the back of the door and I jumped out of the bed in nervousness.

"Ooh, it's alright Sam, you can sit here. He is all yours today and forever." She said making me sit again next to Oliver as she sat on the sofa next to the bed.

"Mom?" Oliver has question in his address.

"Yes, Ollie. Son, I am really sorry for not understanding it earlier how much Sam means to you. But now I do. And nothing in this world is more important to me than your happiness. I love you son and I can see Sam as my daughter in law. She is the one for you. Yes!" She said holding Oliver's hand and his eyes became tears.

"Mom, you don't know how much this means to me" he said in a croaky voice.

"Oh yes, I know Ollie. I always knew that you would never want to hurt my feelings and I feel ashamed to admit this that I used this weakness of yours to fulfil all my wishes. But I failed to realise that in doing that I was losing my son. I am so sorry Son. I am sorry for not being the mother you deserve." She said crying.

"No mom, please don't say that. You've the best mom anyone could ever get. I love you" he said leaning over to hug her and my eyes became blurry to see all these emotions flowing.

As they were hugging each other, his mom pulled me in too and before I could move back Claire and her dad joined too in this big family hug, which now I was a part of. And this time I knew, this was FOREVER.....
