another day he did the same thing he always does. comes to get me at my apartment and takes me wherever he pleases without saying a word to me about our destination. perhaps he does this so much because he knows i won't question him.

i didn't question him this time either, i simply got in his car like every other time. the car ride this time was long, longer than any other ride i had been on with him. yet not once did i ask him any questions simply allowed him to string me along. our conversations came mindlessly and randomly as we talked for the hours that the car ride took.

"we are here." he said as his big bright eyes beamed at me and his smile oh so wide.

we had arrived at an empty field far away from the city we live in. the moon so bright and big, accompanied by the stars that stayed by its side even in the big dark sky. yet the moon was nothing compared to him that was far brighter in this deep night sky.

as i was mesmerized by him yet pretended the sky was what i had been looking at, he set up a blanket for us. he took my hand which seemed like it was his favorite thing to do, and he led me to the blanket.

there we laid, watching the bright night sky, pointing at random stars as we talked about whatever came to mind.

we had been in our own little world and i had known far before now how in love i had been with the storm that he had been. there was no use in trying to get out because i had found comfort in this sporadic lifestyle he had brought to me.

he was the boy next door, he came suddenly and unexpectedly like a storm and yet i was pulled into this storm without resistance because every time i would choose to go to him.

an endless sky of stars and just like the sky an endless amount of thoughts consumed me. he like a storm and just like storms tend to come without warning, they also tend to leave just like that.

"i love you jaehyun." i mumbled as i continued to watch the night sky.

silence overtook us afterwards.
