The Next Day
Aradhna's POV
It is Meera's haldi today and finally her wedding in the evening. Right now, I am ready in a yellow outfit. I can't wait to see my Meera getting married.
I went to Meera's room to make sure she's all ready. She was looking like an absolute dream in her white saree. I went near her and straightened the pleats of her saree and got her down to poolside where the haldi was going to be held. Ro joined us. As the function started, first Kunal's parents applied him haldi and them Meera's parents applied her Haldi. After that the rest of their family applied them haldi and then it was my and Ro's turn. I applied her haldi and then Ro turned into the uncivilised person he is, he emptied two haldi bowls on Meers and then started to run after me. I was running away from him and he was running behind me. All the guests started laughing and enjoying looking at us.
"Ro, don't you dare put that haldi on me." I threatened him while running away from him
"You won't be able to stop me, blueberry." He said while running behind me
We both were running and now we were away from the crowd in another lawn. He was still running behind me but managed to throw the haldi at me. Then I started applying haldi on him. We stopped because we were out of breath after all the running. While were catching our breath we looked at each other and started laughing like maniacs.
Meera came out of nowhere and started whining, "I am not even married yet and you guys are already having fun without me."
Me and Ro looked at each other and ran towards Meera and bathed her with haldi. She started applying the same haldi to both of us and soon we three shared a hug. It was an emotional moment for all three of us as one of us was getting married. We have known each-other as long as we remember. Now, Meera was getting married. We had moist eyes. We all hugged for a few minutes and left each-other. We went to our rooms to take a bath.
I was waiting for the lift to come as I was on the second floor after dropping Meera to her room. As the lift stopped I saw Mr. Singhania standing in the lift in a yellow Kurt in all his glory.
I gave him a small acknowledging smile and pressed eighth floor.
"Hey there, haldi-covered beauty," he teased, eyeing my colorful state.
I chuckled and replied, "Well, you know how these ceremonies go. Haldi had to find its way to me one way or another."
He took a step closer. "I must say, you wear haldi with elegance. It's as if it was made for you."
"Well, who knew haldi could make me look radiant at the wedding." I replied
He grinned and leaned in closer. "You're radiant, Aradhna, haldi or not."
As he said those words the lift stopped at my floor.
"Well, see you in the evening." I said and made my way out of the lift.

Haldi
Abhimaan's POV
When I saw that asshole chasing after Aradhna, calling her blueberry, I swear, steam was practically coming out of my ears. I had this insane urge to give him a piece of my mind, maybe even bury him six feet under. But as they disappeared from sight, I decided to follow them.
I followed the sounds of laughter to another part of the venue and found them both covered in haldi, smearing it all over Meera. It was... actually kind of heartwarming. The way they interacted, it was clear as day that they were just friends, and that hug they shared? Well, it seemed more like something between siblings.
The way they comforted each other was a heart warming sight. As they started to leave for their rooms, I got a call from office. After I took the call I went towards the lift and pressed tenth floor. The lift stopped at the second floor and there stood my woman clad in haldi. I talked to her and she left the lift looking all flushed. I too went to my room and attended a virtual meeting. I suited up, going for a sharp black outfit with a crisp white shirt and a bowtie.
As I entered the wedding venue, I saw my dad and mom standing together passing for pictures. I want to have what they have with Aradhna. The way they still love each-other, take care of each other after so many years of their marriage is heart warming.
I went near them and hugged my mom from behind.
"Not fair maa, even I want pictures with you." I said to her. I might be cold and ruthless for the world but for my family, I can do anything.
"Are Mera Bacha, let's get some pictures clicked." She said
"Gadhe, meri biwi ki peche kyu pda rehta hai? I want pictures with her. You go find yourself a wife." My father said. I can't believe he is jealous of his own son.
"Wo bhi le aauga, but right now I will click pictures with my maa."I said
After clicking some pictures with them, I made my towards Karan. As we started talking, I heard a voice behind me talking over the phone and I knew it for a fact that it was my Jaan.
"I'll be there" Was all I could hear her say before cutting her call.
As she turned around, my world ground to a halt. There she was, looking like a million bucks in a black saree, with her hair up in a neat bun, a hint of makeup accentuating her natural beauty, and a tiny bindi on her forehead. A necklace hung around her neck, and in that moment, I wished I were that necklace, clinging to her forever.
She gave me a smile and then started walking towards me but she didn't stop near me. She went past me. I frowned and saw that she went towards the mandap. She was helping pandit ji with arrangements and I was just looking at her.
"Do you guys pre decide what colour are you gonna wear?" Came Karan's voice.
"No, it's just destiny playing its games." I replied
Soon it was time for Meera to come. She came and pandit ji started chanting. The atmosphere was a little overwhelming. Even I was a little overwhelmed, Meera and I always shared a special bond. Although she is only two months younger, she was the first one to make me a brother and I have always felt protective of her.
After all the rituals, pandit ji pronounced them as husband and wife. Blessings were bestowed by the elders, and then it was time for Meera to shake her kaleeras over all the eligible singles. According to tradition, whoever got a kaleera dropped on them would be the next in line to tie the knot.
First, it was the guys' turn, and guess who had the privilege? Yours truly. Then, the spotlight shifted to the girls, and I couldn't help but hope it'd be my Jaan's turn. And you know what? It actually happened! The crowd erupted in teasing and cheers, already gearing up for the two upcoming weddings. Little did they know, there'd be just one wedding – ours.
As everyone got seated for dinner, I made my way towards Aradhna.
"Ready for getting married?" I asked her
"It is not happening any time soon Mr. Singhania." She answered
"Let's see how destiny plays its games merry Jaan." I said
"Why do you call me Jaan?" She asked
"Because you are my Jaan." I answered and made my way to prepare for Meera's Vidai.
