𝙏𝙃𝙀 π™Žπ™Šπ™π™‰π˜Ώ π™Šπ™ π˜Ύπ™ƒπ˜Όπ™‡π™† on the wall woke me up, the opposite of what happened earlier, when it lulled me to sleep. I gave myself a moment to remember what happened in the last chapter, it has been two weeks after all.

Oh my god we kissed. We finally fucking kissed. And Luther wasn't there to bother us, thank God. I strained to open my eyes, and when I finally did, what I saw amazed me. Equations and formulas lined the walls, covering every possible inch, much more than what had been there when I was awake. Where did he get all of this chalk?

"I think I have something Dolores," Five said to the mannequin, which had been placed on the floor. "It's tenuous, but promising."

"I thought we agreed I'm better than the mannequin."

Five jumped at my voice. "Yes, but we also agreed you talk too much," Five said, rolling his eyes. "Actually, that was you. But, I think you should be able to shut me up," I countered, hopping off the bed to study the numbers littering the walls. Five turned around to pull me closer. We were millimeters away, when Luther walked in. God fucking dammit Luther. "Oh, I uh, didn't know I was bothering you guys."

"You always bother us, Luther."

"What is all of this?" Luther said, noticing Five's multiple equations. "It's a probability map," Five responded, looking proud of his work. "Probability of what?" Luther asked, looking to me for an explanation. I raised my hands and backed away. "Don't look at me. He's been doing this while I took a nap." Five went back to his equations. "Of whose death could save the world." He continued writing on the wall. "I've narrowed it down to four." I traced the equations on the wall with my hand. "You're saying one of these four people cause the apocalypse?" I asked, studying the jumble of numbers on the wall. "No, I'm saying their death may prevent it."

"Oh," Luther said. "I'm not following." I sighed, "Of course you're not." Five continued to talk. "Time is fickle, Luther. The slightest alternation in events can lead to massively different outcomes in the time continuum." Luther nodded, hanging on to his every word. "So, all I have to do is find this people with the greatest possibility of impacting the timeline, wherever they may be, and kill them." I saw Five glance over to me with the word "kill." I gave him a small smile to assure him, but only after remarking, "Sounds like fun, whose first?"

Five scanned over the names on the wall. "Milton Greene," he said. "What is he, a terrorist or something?" Luther asked.

"I believe he's a gardener."

Oh Five, you shouldn't have said that. Luther is going to fre-

"You can be serious!" Luther exclaimed. Here we go. "This is madness Five you-"

Luther stopped mid sentence, looking over at Five. I inhaled sharply, realizing he had pulled out a gun. "Where did you get that?" Luther asked, putting his hands in front of him cautiously. "In Dad's room, I think he used it to shoot a rhinoceros. It's similar to the model I used at work." At work. With his job as an assassin. I try to imagine old man Five running around shooting people. I was snapped out of my thoughts was I realized Luther held me by the neck and was dangling me out the window. Five had his gun on Luther. So, I did the most reasonable thing: used my powers to temporarily blind Luther and escape. I covered his eyes in my shadows, grabbed Five and Dolores, and ran. "(Y/N)! Five! Come back here!" Luther shouts. We continued to run. "Five, where do we go?" I panted as we sprinted down the halls. "We can split up and meet here later," Five said. I nodded, stopped, gave him a quick peck, and shadow traveled away.

I ask, noting that Klaus was alone, and in a car. "We're at the motel where I was tortured," Klaus replied, as if it meant nothing. I opened my mouth to talk, but Klaus had already began. "So where's the horny 58 year-old?" he asked. "Well," I sighed, "I don't really know, but he should be safe. Hey, are you here alone? Are you with Diego?" Klaus gestured to a figure in the distance walking towards us, who I realized was Diego. He quickly opened the door and pulled himself in. "Eight? What are you doing here?" Diego hissed.

"Why can't I be here?"

Diego sighed. "Bingo!" he remarked. I looked at him with a puzzled expression, noticing Klaus open a bottle of alcohol. Of course, he can never be sober. "You know, killing these people won't make you feel better," Klaus said while struggling with his drink. I gave Diego a pointed look, and he dismissed it with the wave of his hand. He suddenly shushed us. I watched Hazel walk out of the motel with an ice bucket, trying to look normal. Diego patted Klaus's shoulder. "Stay in the car. (Y/N), come with me." I sighed and got up. "What!? This guy tortured me!" Sorry, I mouthed to Klaus. "I have a plan," Diego announced. He gestured for me to stay at the bottom of the stairs, just in case I'll need to shadow travel him to the car.

"So, what's the plan?" I jumped at Klaus's voice behind me. "Diego told you to stay in the car."

"He also told me licking a nine-volt battery would give me pubes."

I had no response, but eventually shooed him away. "Go back to the car. If we aren't back in 4 minutes, we're probably dead." Klaus sighed, and walked back out. As I was walking back, I noticed a black car speeding in. Oh shit.

I heard gunfire, but quickly used my powers to block the bullets. "You ok?" I heard Diego ask, noticing he had ran out. I nodded, seeing Klaus had walked out. "Get in the car!" Diego said, trying to shoo him back. "That might be a problem," I said, noting the shot tire. I turned around, looking for a vehicle. I noticed an ice cream truck, as did the boys. We both looked each other and nodded. "Let's ride boys!"

𝙒𝙀 π™π™Šπ™‡π™‡π™Šπ™’π™€π˜Ώ Hazel and Cha Cha's car using a tracking device Diego has planted. While driving, I realized something. I could see Ben again. I turned to him and smile to acknowledge his presence. We can talk later, he mouthed probably not wanting Klaus to hear. I noticed we had reached Hazel and Cha Cha. Diego sped towards them.

"WHEEEE!"

I rolled my eyes at Ben, but stopped, hearing the sound of a gun. That's when time froze, like in a movie. I got out of the truck, seeing Five on the road. I ran to him to give him a hug. He pulled back to examine my face. "You're ok?" Five asked. I nodded.

"Neat trick, isn't it?"

I looked behind me to see a woman with curled blonde hair and a fit-and-flare purple dress. "Hello Five. And you may be the famous Number Eight." I assumed this women was "The Handler," the women who gave Five his job. "You look good, all things considered. It feels just like yesterday when we met. Of course, you were a little bit older then." I saw Five roll his eyes at the last comment. "Well, you know, here we are," Five said.

"So, why don't you tell me what you really want," The Handler prompted. "I want to put a stop to it," Five said. I guessed he meant the apocalypse. "You realize what you're asking for is next to impossible, even for me. That's our raison d'Γͺtre." Five gave me a look, and I nodded. He pulled out a gun while I held out my hands, ready to use my powers.

"Yeah, well how about survival as a raison?" The way he said it melted my insides.

"I'll just be replaced," The Handler said with no care. "I'm but a small cog in a machine."

"I must say though, we're all quite impressed with both of your initiative, your stick-to-it-ness. It's really quite...quite something." She paused. "We wanted to offer both of you a job at the Commission." I gave her a confused look. "Yeah, I don't want to kill people for a living." The Handler laughed. "Oh no sweetie, in management."

"I'm sorry, what did you say?"

"Come back to work with us, Five. You know it's where you belong. And (Y/N), you can make a new life there," The Handler persuaded. "You're not happy," she added. We both dropped our defense. "I'm not looking for happy," I retorted. "We're all looking for happy. I can make you," she paused, "yourself again."

"What about our family?" Five asked. "What about them?" The Handler asked. This woman, I thought while rolling my eyes. "We want them to survive," I said. "All of them?" She asked. We both nodded. "Well, I'll see what I can do. Do we have a deal?" The Handler asked, holding her hand out. "One thing," Five said. He went to pick up Hazel and Cha Cha's guns. He pointed to the bullet hanging in front of Luther. "Can you?" I nodded, moving it away. Once Five came back, we looked at each other. We exchanged glances, grabbed The Handler's hand, and were whisked away to whatever the hell a "Commission" is.
