This is gonna be a flashback oneshot to when TJ and Cyrus have only been dating for about three or four months 

Cyrus was at home studying for his history test when his phone starts buzzing with texts, picking up his phone, and sees that they are all from TJ immediately opens the texts, and starts reading.

Text messages from TJ:

Teej🥺💞:

Cyrus! I did it

I came out to my parents

It feels so good I don't have to hide anymore

My dad needs to time come around though

Can you come over? I need to see you 🥺

Cyrus smiles at the texts from TJ and texts back: Aww, TJ I'm so proud of you 🥺 I knew that you could do it! I'm so glad that it went well. I'm so happy that you can finally be yourself. I am in the middle of studying but you are more important than that so I'll see you soon 🥺💗💞

TJ smiles at his phone laying in bed then texts Cyrus back with okay see you soon Underdog 🥺

Back at Cyrus' house, he starts to get ready changing out of his pajamas into sweatpants and one of TJ's hoodies that he left at his house last week. Just as Cyrus is about to leave his room he remembers that he brought a pack of 2 big rainbow pride flags when he first came out. Cyrus had never used the other one and it was still in the package so he wrapped it up with wrapping paper then putting it into a green gift bag. 

Smiling at the finished product and he started to make his way over to TJ's house excited to see his boyfriend. Finally, he arrives at TJ's house lightly knocking on the door and his boyfriend answers the door almost immediately. Cyrus stops and takes in his appearance TJ has no gel in his hair so it's all fluffy and soft he's also wearing his glasses. He's dressed in sweatpants, a plain black hoodie, and his slippers with fuzzy socks.

Cyrus said" Muffin you look adorable!" TJ blushes and says" Really?" Cyrus said," Yes as always."

TJ said," I'm glad you came over." Cyrus said" Anything for you, Teej."

Soon the boyfriends made their way upstairs to TJ's room. When they got up there TJ immediately got on his bed and motioned for Cyrus to come to sit next to him. Cyrus smiled at his boyfriend then looked down at the ground this worried TJ a little bit.

TJ said," Cy, what's wrong?" Cyrus said" Nothing I just got you a little gift," holding out the green gift bag to his boyfriend. TJ smiled and said," Baby you didn't have to." 

Cyrus said," But I wanted to just please open it." TJ says" Okay," smiling at his boyfriend proudly.

TJ starts to pull the gift out of the bag and then starts to unwrap it. As soon as TJ sees the rainbow pride flag he starts to tear up. He opens his mouth but no words come out, he walks towards Cyrus, gives him a big bear hug, and starts sobbing into Cyrus' arms.

Cyrus doesn't say anything at first he just stands there, holding TJ in his arms and lets him cry. 

Once his boyfriend has calmed down.

Cyrus' says" You're no different and I'm so proud of you for coming out to your parents. You are so strong. Stronger than you think and every day you amaze me."

TJ said" I'm so lucky to have someone so loving, caring, and understanding like you. I love you, Underdog." 

Cyrus smiles at his boyfriend and says" I'm lucky to have you too and I love you too, Muffin."

TJ leans into kiss Cyrus and Cyrus kisses him back then grabs his boyfriend's hand making TJ smile so big he grabs Cyrus' hand squeezing then giving his boyfriends a bunch of kisses.

TJ said," Thank you for coming over baby." Cyrus smiles and says" Of course. I missed your face anyway." TJ says" Really you did?" Cyrus said," Yes of course I did." 

Cyrus starts to kiss TJ's cheeks then starts to play with his hair this makes TJ relax a lot.

TJ says" Cy." Cyrus says" Teej." TJ says" Can we cuddle, eat snacks, and watch a movie?"

Cyrus says" Yeah but first let me help you hang up your beautiful beautiful pride flag."

TJ smiles and says" Good idea babe." Cyrus says" Where do you want to hang it?"

TJ starts to look around his room trying to decide where to put it then he knows where it's gonna go quickly immediately looking at Cyrus. 

Cyrus says" So where do you want it to go?" 

TJ says" Right here," pointing to the side wall where his bed is. Cyrus smiles and says" Perfect."

Cyrus picks up the pride flag and starts upholding the flag revealing the beautiful rainbow design smiling at his boyfriend. TJ smiles and starts helping Cyrus put up the pride flag. The boyfriends decided on using push pins to hang it up.  

Soon the flag is all hung up. The flag looks so perfect and very pretty where TJ wanted it. TJ and Cyrus stood back looking at the flag on TJ's wall admiring it then they smiled at each other.

Cyrus says" It looks amazing muffin." 

TJ said," Thanks again for the flag and coming over. Tonight means a lot to me."

Cyrus gives TJ a bunch of kisses then he cupped his boyfriend's face and said" I wanted to make tonight for you." 

TJ smiled and said" Well you definitely made it special. I love you so much, Underdog." 

Cyrus says" I love you so much more, Teej."

Then the boyfriends quickly ran to the local gas station to get some snacks and picked a movie to watch on Netflix. Cyrus let TJ pick because tonight was a special night for his boyfriend. 

So TJ had ended up picking The Half of It. 

TJ had raved to Cyrus how it was such a good movie and they needed to watch together sometime so Cyrus agreed to watch this movie for movie night.

The boyfriends got into their cuddling position where Cyrus rested his head in the crook of TJ's neck while TJ rested his head on Cyrus' chest then they held hands like they always do. It's their holding hands with each other. TJ started to get into the snacks they bought at the gas station.

Cyrus smiled at his boyfriend he loved that TJ was enjoying himself and having a good time. TJ really deserved this relaxation time. He knew that coming out was a really hard thing for TJ. 

Also, Cyrus knows that it took a lot of courage for him to come out to his parents. TJ still wasn't fully out at school yet but he was out to the people he wanted to know his teammates, Andi, Buffy, Amber, Marty, and Jonah. Now adding his parents to the list and Cyrus couldn't express how proud he is of TJ. 

TJ looked at Cyrus and said," Babe you thinking about something?" Cyrus said" Yeah." TJ said," And what are you thinking about, Underdog?" 

Cyrus said," About how proud I am of you!" 

TJ just smiled and said," I'm glad that I made you proud." Cyrus said," You always do." 

TJ and Cyrus eat the snacks, talk, cuddle, hold hands, kiss, watch the movie, and enjoy each other's company until they both fall asleep.
