"i never thought i would enjoy this so much," taeyong whispers to sicheng, who just nods and keeps his eyes on the sight.
in case you were wondering, they were staring at all the soldier recruits doing their morning laps. best part, they were shirtless. and that worked perfectly for the gay men watching.
"can we just move here? we get the best view," sicheng says out loud.
"should we?" taeyong mindlessly says.
then two faces come into their sight, blocking their perfect view.
"can you move?" taeyong tries to shift his head. "you're blocking our view."
"we should just start having them start doing this with shirts on," yuta tells jaehyun.
"wouldn't make a difference," sicheng answers back. "anyways, what did you need to interrupt our session?"
"don't you guys have to draw blood from us?" jaehyun reminded the doctor and that took him out of his daze.
"oh yeah, i forgot about that," taeyong facepalmed at how he could forget such an important thing.
"just saying, if you want to really keep looking at that," jaehyun motioned to the running soldiers. "then you're always welcome to my weightlifting sessions, i have better ones."
"pervert," and that makes the doctor leave with a huff but not without the captain seeing his red face.
"you know, the same invitation applies to you too cutie," yuta leaned towards sicheng, who was blushing so much.
"bye, see you in 20 minutes," the nurse jogs back inside his living quarters.
the two soldiers just smile at how the two friends rush back inside and walk away with weird smiles on their faces.
"this isn't going to be boring anymore, is it?" yuta asked his friend.
"it really won't," jaehyun answered back.

and what were doyoung and haechan doing? they were the only ones whose minds were functioning properly and actually remembered about the blood draw today.
"haechan, there should be a shipment of vials coming into the front, can you go get that," doyoung called from the table he was starting to set up.
"sure hyung," and the resident exited the medical cube.
it was so quiet that doyoung decided to sit down on a chair and enjoy it. just when he was starting to get comfortable, an unwanted voice cut through the air.
"if you have so much time to waste, might as well finish your job properly."
groaning, doyoung gets up and faces an irritated taeil. well jokes on him, he doesn't get to make such a face to him.
"what do you want to argue about this early in the morning?" the taller complains.
"nothing, just that i thought you might want to be reminded to do your work here," the army doctor approaches closer. "and also that i need my space back."
"your space? you aren't the only one using the medical cube. and might i remind you who's hospital it's under?"
"and under whose request?"
throwing his hands up in the air with frustration, doyoung just gives up.
"look, i understand that you don't want us here for personal reasons. but do you really think we came here voluntarily? no, so at least make this easier for us," and making sure to brush shoulders with the stunned taeil, doyoung leaves the space and to the back room, leaving the other in a daze.

"thank you," haechan calls to the delivery person, who smiles and drives away. looking down, he lets out a sigh.
"now how am i suppose to carry these heavy things," he talks out loud. in front of him were two boxes, the bigger one containing the glass vials and the smaller containing the syringe. trying to lift up the bigger one first, he gives up after seeing that the weight was too much.
"woah there sunshine," mark calls out as he approaches the struggling younger. "you need a hand?"
"if you're not too busy," donghyuck sheepishly smiles. "could you carry the bigger one? and be careful, it contains glass."
the soldier takes the box donghyuck was struggling with before and lifts it up with ease, making the resident's eyes widen at his strength.
"i suppose these are to the medicube?" mark breaks the boy out of his daze.
"yeah, i'll lead," and after picking up the remaining box, he starts walking. "so how long have you been in the military?"
"it's different in canada but i've been training since i was 17. but, i've been in the group for about 2 years."
"17!! isn't that really young?"
"it is but when you really want to become something, you just get the mindset that you want to start early. like for example, why did you want to be a doctor?"
this is the question donghyuck always dreaded. sure he had an answer for it but he wasn't sure if it's the answer he wanted to say.
"i want to save people, that's probably my only reason."
mark could immediately tell the question made the younger a bit uncomfortable so he decided to switch topics.
"how are you liking chasa so far?"
"it's amazing, especially the night sky! i love to go stargazing and i haven't seen starts as beautiful as the ones last night. and the moon is even better..."
mark just stares at how animated donghyuck looked when he was talking about this and smiles at how cute he looks.
"i'm sorry, i'm ranting, aren't i," donghyuck stops talking when seeing how the other became quiet.
"no, it's just that you look so cute when talking like this," he grins as he opens to door to the medicube.
donghyuck stands there, frozen as he's trying to process what the older just told him.

taeyong can successfully this is the most willing group that he has had to draw blood from. sure, he's drawn blood back in korea but it was usually most people freaking out when seeing the needle or fainting afterwards. but luckily, there have been no cases of fainting so far. in fact, taeyong is surprised at how brave all the men looked. after going through all the soldiers, it was time for jaehyun's group to go.
"next," taeyong yells as he's filling out the checklist in front of him.
"save the best for last?"
the doctor looks up at johnny, who just smiles. taeyong found that johnny seemed to be the easiest one to work with among the group, besides mark.
"sicheng and i are the ones drawing blood so just divide yourselves amongst us," the doctor continues and motions to the table sicheng was sitting, which yuta somehow was sitting in front of with his sleeve rolled up.
"wow, looks like i get a pretty nurse to draw my blood. that'll ease the pain more," yuta flirts.
"i'll have you know, i am pretty famous for doing this painfully," sicheng takes out the syringe and takes an alcohol swab, wiping the area. "you sure you can handle it?"
"well, i'll have you know i can take pain quite well. now, about this mornin- ow!"
"that's weird, i can't find the blood vessel," sicheng feels around the area, acting innocent as if he hadn't tried to stab the other.
"excuse me, ow!!"
sicheng rolls his eyes and holds up the needle.
"i haven't even put it in yet."
mark and donghyuck laugh from where they are standing and stop when they see yuta's annoyed face.
"well, i can't use that area now, switch arms," sicheng takes the tourniquet off. "well, i haven't got all day, do it."
yuta just complies and knows that if he did anything more, sicheng would prick with something worse than a small needle.
"now, where is the blood vessel," sicheng still continued to prod all around the arm until yuta takes the needle himself and inserts it into his arm, startling the nurse and everyone else in the room.
"it's right there."
