As I walked away, I was called back.

"Hey! Why'd you do that to Dai-chan?!" The pinkette huffed and stomped, furrowing her brows aggressively at me. I slightly raised a brow, "It's not my fault...he tackled me." I explained, showing a blank expression.

She looked surprised for a moment and looked back at her (assumed) boyfriend. "I do apologize," I say to speed things up. I bow and turn my back towards them.

People like him get what they deserve.

I feel someone grab my arm tightly. I look back to the person I kicked in the groin.

His face is full of annoyance and anger.

"O-Oi..." he spoke, holding his crotch. I felt a bit sorry, but the mood I was in. I didn't really feel anything.

He stared at me angrily, as if I was someone he was going to beat up. At the same time, he seemed like he didn't want to beat me up.

"I apologize, you scared me." I lied, just to make him ease off. He clicked his tongue and scratched the back of his neck anxiously.

He didn't make eye contact with me, he was looking elsewhere.

He's probably looking off somewhere else because he's nervous. He forgives me.

"It's alright...just don't do it again." I nodded, accepting his condition. I turned my heels in the opposite direction and headed that way.

People like him...are very..how do I say this...interesting.

After school, I went to the hospital. I went to the hospital to visit my dying mother. She was currently on life support. My family decided to pull the plug since she was practically brain dead.

All I know, she was going to die within 24 hours and wouldn't be there to see it.

My only best friend is going to die...I'm going to be all alone...

I opened the door to the hospital.

She was fine the other week, all fine.

I walked in.

Happy and everything.

I went to the elevator and pressed the "up" button.

And so was I.

I pressed the 2nd floor button and waited with a few other people.

She was my best friend.

Once it got to the second floor, I exited the elevator.

She's going to die.

I walked down the hall where all the patients were.

She was fine.

I pressed the button to be allowed in and waited.

Until she went to sleep that night.

No one came to open the door.

She didn't wake up the next morning.

I waited until someone came and held it open for me, "Thank you." I said.

She didn't open her eyes, she didn't wake up.

I turned left and walked down the hall, turning right afterwards.

I knew something was wrong, I knew she had to be taken to the hospital.

I felt breathless, I hesitated before sliding open the glass door, for which had a curtain in behind it so no one could see inside.

She's been like this for days, she only has gasped out for air and opened her eyes once.

I went on inside and stood there, I could hear the beat of my heart. My heart pounding against my chest. I stared at the machines that were connected to her.

Her pulse is slowly fading. Her face looked all weary and worn. Her eyes were closed. The machines pumping air into her lungs.

I stood there alone.

The machines, I watched her heart rate.

80...to 78...to 76...to 72...to 65...

I watched the green line of her heart turn a yellow colour, then back to green.

"Mother..." I spoke, gripping her hand.

It felt as if time slowed down, me watching her die was only my undoing. But I couldn't look away. I couldn't look away from the person who gave me life. The person that was always there for me.

She didn't speak.

After all, she's the person who loved me the most.
