Thank you so much for all who gave requests. This was a request by a friend for the chapter and it works well for it! However I appreciate all who gave suggestions so much and i might still use them (with giving full credit of course) for other stories. Hope you guys enjoy though. (3

Zeldris watched the little boy run around in the garden with a small smile on his face. It had been a week since the last rewind, and Zeldris was trying to make the most of it. He would play with Meliodas as much as he could, and paid closer attention incase anything seemed off. He wanted to make sure he was available for a conversation rather than letting it build into a fight like the last time.

And although the small feeling of guilt was still there every time the blond smiled brightly with ignorant bliss, Zeldris tried instead to focus on how happy the boy was. That he was able to have moments like that with his bubbly younger brother because of the rewind. That yes the boy was ignorant to events that ate his older brother alive, but it was better than the contempt and anger that had made the ravenette nearly lose his brother twice.

This was a good change.

Taken from the thought by the small child tugging on his arm, he looked down, only to find his own eyes widening as he saw tears in the others.

"Oh Meli, what's wrong? Are you okay?"

Images flooded back into the ravenette's brain of the child breaking down in a similar fashion. Was it happening again? Was history repeating itself? What was upsetting the boy?

"M-Mr bunny died."

"Wha.."

Before he could ask any follow up questions, a tiny brown bunny was held up to him as Meliodas teared up more.

"I.. I tried to save him but he died. Mr bunny is dead!"

He sniffled more as the slight tears turned into a full sob.

Gently leaning down, he took the bunny from the boys hand and set it down next to them.

"Oh Meli, shhh it's okay. I'm sure Mr bunny lived a nice long life. Here, do you want a hug?"

The little demon nodded before hugging Zeldris tight.

"C-Can we bury Mr Bunny? I-I want to get to say goodbye to him Zeldy."

Although quite the ridiculous request, the elder brother in question couldn't bring himself to say no when his younger sibling was looking at him so sadly. The big, sad, innocent, teary eyes were just too much to ignore.

"Alright Meli, we can bury Mr Bunny."

An hour of preparation and forcing all the maids to attend through threats later, the tiny funeral was ready. Complete with a small hole and a shoebox for the stupid rabbit.

Although Meliodas seemed to be completely torn apart by the loss. He had a distraught look on his face, tears in his eyes, and would periodically pet the dead bunny sadly as if saying goodbye to a love one rather than a dumb animal.

Of course, Zeldris never pointed out how ridiculous this was though. He would provide hugs and head pats to the child to hopefully cheer him up some.

"I loved Mr bunny. I'd come out every day and feed him cheese."

That might have been what killed the thing. Mice are the ones that eat cheese, Meli.

"You doing okay Mel?"

The boy nodded, sniffling before looking up to his brother with the biggest puppy dog eyes.

"Zeldy, can you say a few words for Mr Bunny?"

"Huh? What do you want me to say?"

"Ya know, the stuff people usually say at funerals. Talk about Mr Bunny's life and stuff."

The Zeldris tried to make the annoyance he felt as internal as possible. Although that was quite difficult considering the boy wanted him to give a eulogy for a rabbit he didn't even know until an hour ago. When it was already dead. Demons didn't even usually do thay stuff for other demons who had died. At least not unless they were of high status like a royal member or a fearsome warrior in battle.

Sighing at the bothersome task, Zeldris did as he was told and took a stand in front of the maids and his younger brother, feeling quite foolish as he did so.

"Okay, well. Mr bunny was loved by my little brother Meliodas, and seemed to live as good of a life as a rabbit could live. He was well-fed with cheese and other snacks probably. And probably had some bunny friends out in the wild throughout his life, who I'm sure are just as sad as we all at his passing. So... yeah. Mr bunny will be laid to rest now."

He seemed to do a good enough of a job since Meli didn't look offended or upset by his little "speech". And a moment later, Zeldris moved back to his spot while the blond handed him the box with the little rabbit corpse in it. It was covered in a small white napkin and little flower petals from random weeds.

"Are you ready for me to bury it now?"

"Mhm. Just be gentle."

Well, at least Meliodas seems to be in a better mood now. He's not crying anymore at least.

So with his brother's command and final goodbyes to the creature, Zeldris used the dirt from the hole dug out and plopped it on the now closed box.

"There. Your bunny friend is buried now. You feeling any better?"

"Mhm. I just hope little bunny is resting in piece. I'm happy so many people came to see his funeral!"

Zeldris glared at the maids already starting to scatter, quite infuriated by how much it had taken to get them all to come.

"Yes, quite nice. Anyway, it's getting a bit late now and I'm ready for dinner. It's time to come inside unless you can get Estarossa to come out here with you. You know the rules."

"Nah it's okay, I'm ready to come inside. Esta's busy anyway, I wouldn't be allowed by myself."

"Okay kiddo, then go wash up. I'm going to make some pasta."

"Okay Zeldy!"

The blond ran off quickly as Zeldris smiled fondly. It was moments like these that made the guilt ebb. Seeing his brother so happy and cheerful. Especially when it was after the child was sad about something. Because that meant the ravenette had done at least something right to cheer his sibling up.

Heading inside at the thought while feeling a bit better from it, he put on an apron and started on the pasta while waiting for his brother to come downstairs.

It wasn't unusual for the boy to take awhile since part of the normal routine was often a shower around this time. However after finishing making the food with the kid nowhere to be seen, Zeldris decided to check in on him.

Going upstairs and knocking on the bathroom door, he noticed he didn't hear the shower running and wondered if the blond had just gotten out.

"Hey Mel? Food's done when you get done in there."

He waited a moment and didn't hear a reply, leading him to feel a bit more nervous.

"Meli? Did you hear me."

"Y-Yeah I heard you. I-I'll be out in a second. *cough cough*"

The cough sounded horrible. The kind one had when sick. It was enough to make Zeldris's slight unease to skyrocket into full-blown worry.

"Are you decent Mel?"

"Um y-yeah."

Without asking anything else, he creaked the door open. Only to had his hearts nearly stop at the sight.

Thick, dark, red blood was all over the sink and floor.

The source? Meliodas's nose.

Hehe. I realized halfway through this chapter that I finally had an excuse to use this picture. (3 Hope the chapter was decent!
