The stench of blood and sweat was everywhere and the sound of pants were heard as the sins began to get tired. The battle had lasted all night, and both sides were getting tired and injured.

Neither quit, both knowing it would be defeat if they did, but that didn't mean either was winning..

The only thing keeping the sins going was the strength of their captain who would land most of the hits and rally them to keep going, while the only thing keeping the commandments going was the hatred Zeldris had and his need for revenge against the commandment who had betrayed them, the others understanding his pain and wanting him to find relief against it.

So many brusies, cuts, and wounds on the blond and yet he didn't stop regardless of the taunts of the others and even his own body screaming at him to stop moving. He couldn't afford to, after all... if he did he would lose everything. But the other side wasn't quitting either now. Because they saw the weakning in the demon's drive, and decided to put their next plan into motion.

Monspeet and Gloxina took the back with their range allowing them to keep a distance, Zeldris and Estarossa rushed at the front, and the others went for the other sins, preventing them from helping the demon who was surrounded at all sides.

"Captain!"

"Look out!"

"Cap'n get out of the way!!"

"Move!"

But it was too late. There was no way he could dodge the quick attacks that were blocking every exit, so he braced himself and covered his face with his arms to try to have them take the impact.

BOOM!!

The sound was deafening as impact was made, and when the dust cleared, the blond coughed and fell to the ground, his body unable to move as it was too damaged.

He looked up with fierceness still in his emerald eyes as Zeldris looked coldly back, a cruel smirk covering the regret he felt at knowing the pain his brother was in because of him.

"Say goodbye Meliodas... Because this is the last time you'll see the sins."

And with those chilling words, they teleported away with the captain with them. The only thing left behind being Meliodas's sword, and the other sins who cried out at the loss of their leader.

The room was cold, dark, and quiet other then the echo of footsteps and sound of chains clanking as the captive tried his hardest to break free of them regardless of his weakned state.

"Don't waste your strength. You won't be able to break those chains. They are simply draining your magic every time you try."

A glare and silence was given as the boy tried to stay strong even in his current situation, it was only met with a smirk as Zeldris could still see a hint of fear in those eyes behind the fire.

"Look at me that way all you want. It doesn't change the fact that you lost. So many years of fighting for the humans and look where it got you. You haven't even told the others about us being related have you? It's because you're afraid~ You know they would be repulsed if they found out about us being brothers. All of the trust built up, and of the friendships you've made would crumble down by one little secret being told.. Tell me, was it really worth protecting something that would turn on you at the slightest thing?"

"Enough with the chit chat, if you're gonna do something just do it. It'll be better then listening to you go on and on."

Anger flashed in Zeldris's eyes at the lack of care in the other's. Regardless of whether he would admit it or not, it had hurt him deeply when Meliodas had left. The two had been so close and yet now the blond was acting as if none of it had mattered to him. However it was quickly covered by another cruel smile and hardened expression.

"Fine. It won't change your fate anyhow, merely prolong it. Goodbye... brother."

The word was said harshly, like it left a bitter taste in his mouth. However the boy didn't react to it, instead focusing his energy to find a way out, thrashing about until the door was shut and Zeldris was no longer in view of the captive.

Sadness overtook him as he leaned against the door and took a deep breath. This would be the last time he would see the boy, or so he thought. The ravenette wasn't aware of his eldest brother's plans, nor was he aware of the fate his brother would soon have...

Two days. That's how long it had been since Zeldris had talked to the boy. He wasn't allowed to go back and didn't for fear of letting his emotions get the better of him as he saw the torture his brother was more then likely enduring. It was an expected fate for a traitor, but still a hard one to be okay with when it was someone so close.

His day would be gone through in a daze as he would wonder if his brother was even still alive or if maybe the punishment would be light since he used to be such a high up.

It was hard for him to focus on much of anything in such a state, which is why he decided to get a breath of fresh air outside. Only to freeze when seeing something he never thought he would again.

Next to Estarossa was a small boy with blond hair and bright green eyes that sparkled as they took in the sight of his brother before he ran up to hug the other.

"Big brother! You're finally here! Esta told me to wait to talk to you but I couldn't help it. I missed you too much. Apparently I've been asleep for awhile and finally woke up which is why you guys look so different. It's so weird! You're so much taller then me! No fair."

He couldn't speak as he saw his little brother clinging to his legs and giving him a bright smile, no hatred in his eyes as he had gotten used to seeing.

"What's wrong brother? Why do you look so confused? .....Brother?"

He gave a worried look at the unresponsiveness of the other, but stopped when Estarossa put a hand on his shoulder.

"He's a bit tired right now, why don't you go play for now while he wakes up."

Meliodas didn't entirely buy the excuse, but could tell that Zeldris needed a moment so gave him a bright smile before walking off.

"W-What.... H-How.."

"I know, it's a lot to take in."

"A LOT TO TAKE IN!!?? WHY IS OUR BROTHER NINE AGAIN AND ACTING LIKE HE DOESNT REMEMBER A THING THAF HAS HAPPENED!!!??"

"Shhh! Keep your voice down. I can explain."

"Well you better hurry because I'm really freaking out right now!"

"Neither I nor the other commandments could bring ourselves to kill him. We all had watched him grow up after all, some even growing up along with him. That's why instead we came up with another idea. We reverted him to a few years before he left. He has no memory of betraying us and in every sense of the word, is who he was back then again. The reason he left is to protect humans, so if he never meets them, he won't have a reason to leave. Don't you get it Zeldris? We get to have our little brother back."

His mind was spinning as he tried to comprehend what was being said to him. Part of him felt angry, relieved, and another part felt almost appalled by the fact that they had wiped his brother's memories of everything that had happened the last few thousand years. He wanted his brother to remember, he wanted his brother to feel remorse and guilty for what he had done and come back on his own, not even be aware that he had done it in the first place. However as he looked at the little boy petting a small bird, he couldn't help but feel the slightest bit happy as he knew what this would mean.

His brother would come back home, for good.

Okay, DEFINITELY not my best work, but I had to do this in a major rush and didn't edit at all. Not to mention first chapters are typically hard. Anyway, let me know what you think and I'll try to update again soon. (3
