Priya disconnected the call and stared at her phone with a big smile on her lips.

It was Ram who had called to inform her about his dream project which was going to be started tomorrow and his excitement resembled how delighted he was. She closed her eyes and prayed for his happiness to be lost long and forever.

Days passed. Ram got busy with the new project and couldn't make time to meet Priya but still sent chocolates to her.

Their deal indeed looks childish but for them, it's very special as it is working as a bridge between them.

Priya made herself understand that his work needed more attention but somewhere her heart craved to see him and talk to him. It's been almost a week since they spoke properly and the last time he had come to the hospital was 10 days ago.

She is happy that he is making an effort to take out some time to talk to her but she feels it is not enough. He has completely spoiled her that her days feel incomplete without getting to see him.

Ram came out of the conference room and directly went to his cabin. Sitting on the chair he leaned back relaxing his tired self. Everything is going well as they planned but the schedules are extremely tight and he invariably is busy travelling or having some meetings.

He also knew that he was not giving enough time to Priya and he had tried multiple times to make some time to meet her but ended up cancelling due to lack of time.

He opened his eyes and took his phone. He waited for her to pick up the call as he dialled her number but the call went unanswered. He tried again and at the same time, Vikram came to him along with Jenny.

Ram signalled them to take a seat still having his attention on his phone.

Pick up the call doc. He whispered eagerly as his next meeting with the ad team was going to be started soon after this file verification that Vikram and Jenny had brought.

He sighed deeply and kept the phone on the table when this time the call was not picked up. He looked visibly disappointed as he couldn't get to talk to her.

Ram. All fine? Vikram who noticed it asked him for which he met his gaze and nodded his head.

Jenny, please take that copy with you and go through it. You can take your leave, we will meet directly in the conference room if everything is clear to you or else call me and be there 15 minutes prior so we can clear your doubts. Vikram said for which she nodded her head with 'sure sir' and left the cabin.

We 3 were supposed to examine the file together, Why did you send her out? Ram asked him looking confused.

The file has every minute detail on it and we both already went through it once. I am damn sure that you have copied and pasted all the details of the meeting in your brain. So, it's completely fine. Vikram paused and leaned on the table.

What's up with you? Huh? She might be busy and could not pick up your call. Chill man She will call you as soon as she checks her phone. Vikram remarked.

Huh! What... What are you talking about and who is that she?! Ram acted masking the shock which was given by his friend.

That she is the one with whom you are craving to speak. Vikram teased and raised his brows at him.

There is nothing like you are thinking okay? He stood up abruptly and shrugged his shoulders.

I would have punched your face for keeping your love affair a secret from me but you are forgiven as finally, you are going to settle down in your life. Vikram also stood up and stared at him with a mad face.

Vikram. There is nothing like that, we are just good friends yaar. I would have let you know if anything was there between us. Ram's voice softened and he grinned at Vikram.

Don't think, I will not do what I just said. One more lie and I will break your face for sure. Vikram stated and it did scare Ram.

Okay. Okay... Calm down. Ram went to him and placed his hand on his shoulder which was swiftly shrugged off from Vikram.

Arre, please yaar. Trust me we know we feel for each other but we never confessed it. I was just waiting for the right time to discuss this with you. Do you think that I will make the big decision of my life without talking to my best buddy? Saying he took Vikram for a side hug and this time he was not stopped by him.

You know, I don't have anyone with whom I can share everything apart from you and Neha. Ram looked at him and pleaded through his eyes to excuse him.

Fine fine. Don't make me emotional now. Saying Vikram too reciprocated the hug and both smiled.

And I feel pity for you, Ram. what you might have to face when Neha gets to know about this. Vikram laughed looking at Ram's scary expressions as he voiced out this.

Stop scaring me and dare you to tell her about this. I will only call and let her know. Ram stated in a warning tone.

Yeah, sure. And by the way. Great choice. Vikram said with a grin.

Enough now. Let's go. Ram dismissed Vikram's chance to tease him further and walked out dragging him along.

When they were about to enter the conference room. His phone buzzed with Priya's call.

Vikram gestured to pick it up and winked at him earning a nudge on his stomach.

When Ram was about to answer it, Jenny came and informed them that the team was assembled and waiting for them.

Vikram was about to say that he would take care of it until he was back but stopped hearing Ram.

Yeah, let's go. Walking inside Ram picked up the call.

Doc, in a meeting now. Will call you later. He spoke and could not wait for her response and had to disconnect the call as the ad team leader approached him.

Priya looked at her phone and regretted not carrying the phone with her seeing 2 missed calls from Ram. She quickly called him back not wasting a moment but her eyes welled up at his response and she just stared at the phone gulping her tears.

She knew that he did not do it with intention but still, she couldn't control herself and the distance that his new project was creating led her to feel this way.

Here Ram was explaining the presentation with eyes going to his phone now and then which didn't go unnoticed by Vikram.

Being a husband and before that a lover it didn't take time for him to understand Ram's plight.

As soon as the meeting was over, Vikram went outside taking Jenny with him after excusing himself while Ram was still indulging in clearing the doubts and explaining the expectations from his plan.

Vikram quickly made changes to Ram's schedules with the help of Jenny and called Neha.

Neha almost squealed in delight when she got to know about Ram and Priya by Vikram and she instantly said yes to his plan to make them spend time together.

After like 30 minutes when Ram came back to his cabin Jenny handed him the revised schedule which confused him. He walked towards Vikram's cabin to check when he was informed that it was done by Vikram.

Neha quickly dressed up and drove to Priya's clinic chalking a plan to convince Priya to come with her and also prayed that she would not have any appointments.

Priya was surprised to see Neha in the hospital and offered a hug.

Neha was successful in bringing Priya out of the hospital saying that they were going shopping. Firstly she denied it as she was not in the mood however gave in when Neha displayed her dramatic blackmail.

Ram was just asked to sit in his cabin and wait when he inquired with Vikram about the immediate rescheduling of meetings and tasks.

He thought of visiting Priya as he had almost 2 hours but couldn't do so as Vikram strictly told him not to go anywhere. He huffed in annoyance and came back to his cabin when Vikram refused to share the reason behind it.

Neha, where are we? Priya looked around as both got out of the car and asked.

You will get to know. Come. Replying Neha held her hand and walked to the entrance of Kapoor Industries.

Priya gasped and pulled her hand out of Neha's hand as soon as she saw the big lavish building and the name on it.

Why are we here?!! You said we are going shopping. Priya exclaimed in shock.

Priya. Calm down. I have some work here, it might take some 10 to 15 minutes and it's a little urgent. Just 15 minutes after that we leave for shopping okay? Neha said in a requested tone for which Priya nodded her head reluctantly.

Okay. I will wait for you here. She said and was about to go to the waiting area but was stopped by Neha.

Arre, no no. You need to come with me. She paused thinking of some reason to drag her along. Huh... What if it takes more time, You will be alone here and get bored. Saying Neha dragged her inside the lift not giving her any chance to talk further.

Priya silently walked along with Neha and Neha smiled at Priya before entering Ram's cabin.

Surprise! Neha shouted which made Ram look up and he just stared at Priya who also met his gaze. He could see the shock on her face.

Priya glared at Neha for which she got a grin in return. She huffed and looked at Ram for just a second before downcasting her gaze.

Hey, doc! What a pleasant surprise! Ram couldn't hold back his happiness and approached her but Neha came in between them.

Very mean you are. Saying she punched him on his stomach playfully before her hands held her waist.

I am also here or have I become invisible to you? Neha asked pouting and was instantly pulled by him to his embrace.

Nothing like that darling. It's just that she is here for the first time and it was unexpected so. He said having his eyes on Priya who stood there fidgeting her pallu and looking down.

You kept it as a secret huh? Neha whispered to Ram inaudible to Priya.

I did tell that idiot that I would talk to you. I will see him once you are gone.

Hello! Stop scolding my husband and because of that idiot, your doc is here okay?

I love you guys for this and just to remind you, you called your husband an idiot.

And you know it's not the first time. Neha whispered back and both burst into laughter.

Neha, I will wait outside. You finish your work and come. Saying so Priya was about to go but was stopped by Neha.

Arre. My work is with the person who is in the other cabin. My husband, I will go there and be back.

I just brought you to Ram so that you won't be bored until I come back. Saying she turned to go.

I will also come with you. Priya said and went to her.

Okay.. your wish. Neha agreed for which Ram frowned.

But be ready to witness some office romance. Neha added as she walked ahead which halted Priya's steps.

Neha...! Priya trailed off.

I didn't tell you not to come. You can come with me if you want. Neha responded a little loud from outside with a sly grin on her lips and went inside Vikram's cabin.

Ram suppressed his smile when Priya stood there fidgeting with her pallu.

She slowly turned and looked at him before going to the balcony not uttering anything.

Ram chuckled at her cuteness and followed her.

She looked at him as he came and stood beside her however averted her gaze when he gave a smile.

You know that I didn't hang up on you intentionally.

You even know why I am not able to make time for you.

You understand that this new project needs me all the time.

He paused and turned her towards him holding her upper arms.

I know that you don't want to be mad at me when we finally have time for each other.

But still, it is happening. Am I right? He voiced out in a calm tone looking at her who had her gaze down.

He quickly made her look at him by cupping her face as he heard her sniff.

Hey...! Doc! What happened? He sounded concerned and wiped her tears before pulling her into his embrace.

She snuggled into his chest where he tightened his hold around her.

I missed you. He heard her low voice.

I missed you too. Whispering these words he started caressing her hair.

Both stood in silence feeling the moment of having each other in their embrace.

I pity your future wife. Priya retorted coming out of his hug.

Achha.. Kyu? Ram questioned chuckling at her statement.

Because of your workaholic nature. She was quick to respond with a scowl.

He laughed out earning a glare from her.

Tell my future wife that after this project his future husband will always be there for her and will be at her service. He stated with a sly grin looking directly into her eyes, making her go red.

Nice cabin. Show me around. She turned to the other side changing the topic to hide her blush which he caught however just smiled and followed her who walked inside looking around.

Taking a look at the elegant cabin she walked inside the small hall which had minimal light. She entered inside saw some indoor games and walked to the snooker table.

Wow! Can I try this? She asked him with a child-like excitement to which he smiled and nodded his head to go ahead.

She took the cue stick and positioned it at the white cue ball aiming at the nearest red ball. As she struck it, the ball went near the pot but did not fall into it. She looked back at Ram and her lips formed a cute pout seeing him suppressing his smile.

This time with full determination she aimed for another ball but that also did not fall inside the pot.

She was about to keep the cue stick in disappointment but her body stiffened as he hugged her from behind and reached to her hands. He smiled at her when she looked at him tilting her head.

Eyes there. Ram whispered and she slowly looked ahead with crimson cheeks.

Her hands were on a cue stick and his hands were on hers. Positioning at the cue ball and aiming the blur ball he made her strike it which slowly moved and fell into the corner pocket.

Priya jumped like a kid and shouted 'Point!' in joy as both stood straight.

She was so close to him that he couldn't stop himself from inhaling her scent. His face moved near her nape and he inhaled her fragrance which formed goosebumps all over her shoulder.

Priy closed her eyes shut and the cue stick fell on the table.

Mr Kapoor.. She called him and her voice came out as a mere whisper due to the effect of his closeness.

Hmm... He just hummed taking her scent.

What are you doing? She asked slowly as she opened her eyes.

Nothing... You smell so good. He replied in a husky voice and kissed her shoulder.

She shivered as he started nuzzling her neck with his nose. Her hands clutched the table edge and her neck tilted giving him more access.

He knew he had lost his control but still didn't feel like stopping this time.

She managed to call him in between her erratic breaths one more time and quickly turned to face him when he didn't seem to stop his act.

He gave a sweet smile which just took her heart away.  She averted her gaze and avoided looking into his hypnotized eyes and handsome face.

We should go out ... Neha must be waiting for us. Priya stated and freed herself from him.

She took steps towards the door but was pulled by him which made her crash into his chest.

He locked her in his embrace snaking his arms around her midriff.

Mr Kapoor...  Let's go out. Priya pleaded trying to loosen his hold.

We will. Before that clear my doubt. Ram responded with a sly grin.

Doubt? What doubt? Priya asked confused squinting her eyes and her attempt to free herself was stopped.

She raised her hands and her fingers held his shirt buttons where he took his sweet time to respond.

I want to know... He paused and moved his face near to her just maintaining a thin gap between their lips making her eyelids dance inside her eyes.

Is sharing a first kiss before confessing not right? He asked glancing at her eyes and lips.

Priya bit her lower lip at his boldness and took her face backwards increasing the distance between their lips blushing away to glory.

Why do you want to know about this? She asked with at most shyness looking at her hands which were playing with his shirt buttons.

Not fair... For a question you should give me an answer but what I got? Question for the question? Ram complained which made her look up at him and both stood staring into each other's eyes in silence.

I think... it's not wrong. He added in a low tone and leaned towards her face which broke Priya's trance.

He lifted his hand to tuck the hair strand and his hold on her loosened. Priya wisely freed herself taking this as an opportunity and ran outside giggling. Ram stood stunned for a moment before running behind her calling her to stop.

When Priya came running outside she bumped into Neha who just came into the cabin a minute ago.

Neha raised a brow at her with a mischievous smile for which Priya just lowered her gaze and shut her eyes.

Doc. Ram was about to hold Priya's hand but restrained himself as he sensed Neha's presence.

Darling.... When.. When did you come?  He stuttered with an awkward grin scratching his temple.

Hmm.. I came when Priya came here running despite you calling her. Neha responded in a teasing tone, taking glances at Ram and Priya who stood there wanting ground below to swallow them.

Vo that... We were playing snooker.. doc was about to lose the game but she came here quitting the game in between so I came behind to stop her as it was cheating. Ram made up something and found it very stupid when he saw the expression of both the ladies.

Neha looked at Priya who was staring at Ram with an impossible look and suppressed her smile.

Okay okay... Priya let's go. We don't have much time. Neha said to which Priya looked at her and nodded.

Hmm Neha we have some incomplete conversation which must be completed today itself. So you go, doc will be there in 5 to 10 minutes. He said for which Priya looked at him puzzled

What is it, Mr. Kapoor? She asked in confusion.

Arre doc how could you forget that? The conversation we were having in there. He pointed to the room with an impish look.

Priya gasped and looked at Neha who raised her brows. What is that important thing may I also know? She asked.

Yeah sure why not? Ram responded earning a shocking glare from Priya.

It's nothing Neha let's go we are getting late for shopping. Priya quickly interrupted.

Come on doc. She must know.  Priya huffed giving him a 'Are you serious' look where he suppressed his smile enjoying her state.

Darling. He paused and took a glance at Priya who was looking at him with pleaded eyes before adding 'It's about a new pharmaceutical project'.

Pharmaceutical project?  Priya asked with no hint squinting her eyes at Ram before Neha could say something.

Why I am feeling something is fishy?  You said it's very important but her expression clearly says that she does not even have a clue about it. She narrowed her eyes at them where Priya was enquiring Ram through her eyes what he was up to.

Nothing like you are thinking darling. And you this is not fair. I suggest you eat some almonds and nuts to improve your memory. Priya glared at him and opened her mouth to retort but was cut off by him.

I am talking about the project which you told Prathi about when you came to KM to see me. Ram made a reply with a mischievous glint in his eyes.

Priya shut her eyes and could not help but blush remembering the lame excuse she had given to Ram's family to go to his room.

She instantly composed and looked at Neha smiling
