(So for the people who read the previous chapter before I edited it, I was so brain dead that after dedicating minutes to editing I forgot to delete the most important thing. Sorry for the spoilers for this chapter ig 😭)

You were already seated when the stampede occurred. You had Wanda and Loki sitting right next to you. When everyone finally took their seats, you put some of the Penne bolognese on your plate, as the whole table collectively exchanged bowls of food to add to their own plates. The scene all looked like one, disoriented, crazy family. The crazy part was that you fit right in.

Everybody on the table were talking amongst themselves, you and Loki talked amongst yourselves about the food and other random nonsense. That was until Hawkeye suddenly asked you a random question. He was sitting across from you, and had been staring for a minute as if the question had been boiling in his mind.

You turned your head, waiting for him to ask the question.
"Did you actually get plastic surgery or..."
Black Widow who was next to him immediately sighed, giving the biggest face palm ever. You laughed a tiny bit in response.
"No. I said that to make you feel guilty and leave me alone." You laughed.
"Well good job Emma, my wife gave me the biggest handful on the ride home." He sarcastically said.
"Who's Emma?" Wanda chimed in. You put your hand to your head, embarrassed to answer.
"My undercover name." You said under your breath, clearly embarrassed.
Wanda, Clint and Black Widow began laughing. Almost like a little group of friends.
"Out of all the names on this planet, you chose Emma? How creative" Natasha sarcastically said.
"Well I mean, context wise it was the smartest option. The odds of someone being invited named the most common name in the world was pretty high." You tried explaining yourself. Natasha just shrugged.

You went back to taking more bites of your food, watching the Avengers communicate with each other. You took a sudden interest to the young boy who was just sitting there, who you previously saw in that weird looking red and blue suit, it was just convenient that he also happened to be furrowing his eyebrows at you, clearly trying to pinpoint who you were.

You nudged Loki, asking who the young boy was. Loki look up at the boy, then to you.
"That's Peter. His practically Tony's child." Loki replied.
You nodded, until the boy suddenly opened his mouth.

"Are you new here? I'm Peter Parker by the way.." He nervously asked from across the table.

You nodded. "I'm Y/n, nice to meet you." He gave you a bright smile from across the table.

"What are your powers?" He asked.
"I can go invisible and generate force fields." You replied. He had an impressed yet shocked impression on his face and wished to know more.

"How'd you get them?" He asked, again.

"I was born with them on Asgard."
His face instantly shot up.
"Woahhhhh.. Cool! You're from Asgard like Thor and Loki. I studied it once for an English assignment and sounded so cool, how was it there?" The spider started asking too many questions.
You awkwardly snickered "Let's not go there." You said passive aggressively, under your breath. He quickly apologised when he realised he had triggered some memories, and went back to eating his food.

"What about you? I've never studied you before.." The kid looked shocked, specifically at the word 'study'. "I'm spider-man. I shoot webs from my fingers!" He excitedly said. "Wanna see?"

He looked over to where the kitchen was through the gaps in peoples heads. He took one more look to make sure nobody noticed him, then lifted his fingers. Immediately he shot webs at the speed of light, and pulled, bringing a glass of salt and pepper. All the conversations had come to a halt as a long white string of web shot past them, gathering their attention. Iron man gave the biggest eye roll, snatching the spices from him.

"Kid, what did I say about using your webs at the table?" Iron man began to lecture the poor kid. You began giggling, using your hand to hide your laughter. "Sorry, Mr Stark it won't happen again. I was showing Y/N my powers." The kid nervously said. "Damn right it won't happen again. Friday, turn off the web shooters." Tony yelled out to the AI system. "Hey!" the kid yelled back. "You'll get them back when we finish." Tony said. Peter sadly returned to his food. They were practically like father and son.

After a few bites of your food, another thought erupted in your mind. You turned to Loki, who was nearly finished his meal.

"So can you actually read minds?" You suddenly questioned, completely out of the blue. Loki looked taken aback by the sudden question. He lowered his fork, actually considering an answer.

"I can if I really desired to. It takes deep focus." Loki answered.

You nodded. As soon as you opened your mouth to say something, you were immediately interrupted.
"Don't think about it." He suddenly chimed in. You were stunned by his comment.

"Did you just-" You asked, dazzled in thought.

"No. You're quite predictable." He said, with a slight smirk.

"No i'm not! Let me at least say what I was going to say." You said. He sighed. "Go on."

"What number am I thinking of?" You quickly blurted out under your breath. He hit the table in a 'I knew it' manner while you laughed, covering your face.

"Four." He snapped out.
"I thought you said you had to be in deep thought?" You suddenly questioned.
"I do. The difference was that your mind was like an open book, so I didn't exactly have to bother."
You didn't reply, but instead furrowed your eyebrows confused, internally asking him to dumb it down.

"Basically, when you asked that you practically opened your mind, it was like an open book because the number was the main thing that briefly overtook all your other thoughts and was clearly the loudest thing in your head." He tried explaining. You were still staring in confusion. He rolled his eyes to your confusion.

"The more energy one puts to a single thought, the more open it becomes. It basically becomes an open book." He passive-aggressively tried to explain. This time you understood, you nodded slowly to his words.

Suddenly Thor stood up from the dinner table.

"Alright my fellow friends, I will be departing now to visit Korg and Valkyrie." Thor pushed in his seat, concluding himself from the dinner. He poked Loki. "You coming, brother?" He asked quietly to Loki. "Why not. I have nothing better to do." Loki also stood up with Thor.

"Y/n, why don't you come with us? You can meet some Asgardians!" Thor openly invited you, with all the avengers staring and listening in. You awkwardly laughed. "Sure." You stood up.

"Are you three going to come back for the movie night?" Iron man asked, still seated.

"Of course. We would never miss a single movie night." Thor laughed. "See you then. You're in charge of Y/N by the way." Tony reminded him. Thor nodded. Loki was still standing with his arms crossed.

That was until he held his hand out,
holding his hand out to you.

Your heart skipped a beat for a good second. Before you could stare for a second longer, you hesitantly reached his hand. His hands were cold, and were wrapped around your warm hands, holding your fingers lightly as he lead the way to the elevator with Thor following behind.

You all stepped into the elevator. You and Loki were side by side whilst Thor was still wrapping his head around how to use the elevator buttons. Thor finally managed to click a single button, unleashing a sign of satisfaction and returning to his regular stance. The three of you's stood casually in an elevator, waiting for it to reach the bottom floor.

"So who's Korg and Valkyrie?" You asked.

"They're my friends that I made during the battle with Hela." Thor passionately answered.

"Who's Hela?" You asked again, with even more confusion. Thors bright demeanour began to fade as the question got more personal.

"Me and Thors sister, Odin casted her away and she returned for revenge after his. The only way to stop her was to overall destroy Asgard." Loki responded on behalf of Thor. Thor awkwardly laughed, casting away his genuine sorrows.

"Ohhh.. So is Valkyrie like.. an actual Valkyrie?" You asked curiously.

"Yes, the female warriors." Thor suddenly boomed again.

"That's cool.. I remember my mother reading stories about them. I thought they were all dead?" You asked, again. Thor shrugged, also as confused while Loki had a sympathetic look, as if he knew something.

The elevator door finally opened, and you couldn't wait to finally step out of the Avengers tower. You bolted out of the elevator, shoving past Thor and speed walking towards the exit to the tower.

Before leaving, you stood there for a good second. Looking upon the view on the other side of the glass wall, the single barrier in the way of blocking your freedom.

Thor and Loki caught up as you admired the outside. Loki patted your back, gesturing for you to take your first legal steps outside after being casted away in the tower.

The breeze of fresh hair travelling through the strings of your hair felt refreshing, the bright sun glimmered from every angle, it almost felt blinding not being outside for a good while.

Thor grabbed your arm and gently began taking you to the vehicle you were travelling with. It was a black, heavy car with tinted windows, almost impossible to see through. Thor opened the door for you to enter the backseat, then went and claimed the front passenger seat. Loki entered in after you, closing the door. Suddenly the car lit up, with Friday voicing the car.

"Take us to New Asgard." Thor said to the AI. The car immediately took off and began self driving. You were amused at the sight of advanced technology, that you currently entrusted with your life.

Suddenly it struck you that you were in the backseat of a luxury, multimillion car with the God of mischief beside you, divided by a small tiny seat. Loki had brought a book, and began reading to himself. You sat there, staring through the window admiring the views.

Throughout the car drive, you and Thor would talk about the nature and environment and all the sights the car drove by. Occasionally, you would tap Loki and distract him from his book and make him look too. He didn't really seem to mind, if anything sometimes he'd genuinely smile at your curiosity.

After thirty minutes of driving, the car had finally reached a halt. The area looked like an amusement park. It was practically a big field with cruises and tourist attractions. The place was run by king Valkyrie, who had made a habitability tourist attraction out of a plain empty field.

Thor came around to your side and opened the car door, allowing you to step out. You three began walking collectively to the main building.

As soon as you stepped into the building, you immediately laid eyes upon a woman who was causally sitting on a throne, sharpening a long blade. You assumed the woman was king valkyrie.

Thor ran up to her with excitement, she immediately stood up and they exchanged a good hug. You and Loki continued walking, eventually catching up to where Thor and Valkyrie was.

"Loki" Valkyrie said, staring straight at him. "Valkyrie." Loki replied, them both intensely grazing eye contact for a good minute. Any second longer you were convinced they were gonna begin sparing. Valkyrie eventually broke the eye contact, and shifted her focus to you.

Valkyrie pointed the tip of her sword at you. "And who's this?" She asked.

"New recruit. She is of Asgard." Thor joyously said. She nodded, getting a second glance of you.

You bowed to her, remembering her royal status. "King Valkyrie"

She laughed at you. "We don't do that around here."

She then offered her empty hand. "Refer to me as Valkyrie." She smiled, still waiting for your hand.

You smiled back, you held onto her hand as a sign of respect for each other.

Suddenly, an alarm rang on a random device cluttered on her wrist. She sighed, breaking the contact.

"Well, duty calls." She extended her arms over her shoulder, attaching the sword to to her back. "Was nice meeting you..." her eyebrows furrowed.

"Y/n." You said. She nodded then walked off.
As she was heading to the door, she quickly turned back to yell something.

"Also, Korg isn't here. He decided to check out Australia, you can visit him here like next month. Cya's!" Then the door shut as she left the room.

You three stood there, with the echos of the door closing. Thor sighed at the absence of his best friend.

"Guess you aren't meeting Korg today then. That's alright, i'll take you with us next time so you can meet him!" Thor tried to lighten up the awkward mood.

"Shall we go back now?" Loki suggested.
"Ah yes, we'll make it just in time for the movie." Thor excitedly said. He then grabbed your arm and began leading you out of the building, Loki was following close behind.

As you made it to the car, Loki opened the door for you whilst Thor jumped onto the front seat. Once you were all seated, the doors automatically closed. Thor once again started the car, letting the Ai self drive the heavy vehicle.

"So Y/n, what movie are you most excited to watch?" Thor asked from the front.

"I don't know, I haven't seen much movies. Is there like, options?" You asked, frequently pausing to stare out the window. The sun began to set. The views from the Asgardian fields made the planet look.. beautiful to say the least.

"No not really. Tony just puts on netflix and we all vote on a movie to watch." Thor replied.

"What about you Loki?" You asked him. Thor also tuned in to hear his response.

Loki looked up from his book. "I don't really care about midgardian movies." Loki said bitterly.

"Ah, Loki don't be a bum." Thor laughed.
"I'd rather waste two hours of my life listening to Odin ramble on than watch a dreadful movie about a lost girl, a dimwitted lion, an imbecile stack of hay and a loud tin can sing over a pair of ruby shoes." Loki argued back.

"I'd honestly never imagine Loki watching the wizard of Oz." You joked.

"Never again. The oaf in front of me forced me to watch it because I reminded him of the wicked witch" Loki said, rolling his eyes. You couldn't help but laugh at the brotherly jokes.

"See Y/n? His proving my point. He is like the male equivalent to the wicked witch of the west." Thor loudly joked.
"And you're the person equivalent of the scarecrow, you both lack brains." Loki argued back.

At this point you were driving through an average highway, back in the city. After the laughter died down, Thor rambled on about his favourite movie. It was that one funny movie about a little girl being kidnapped and two men working together to solve the case. Thor basically spent a good fifteen minutes restating the plot of rush hour.

All of a sudden, Loki had taken an interest to the present. He slammed his book down onto the seat, and began staring in the distance, clearly observing and trying to fully grasp something.

"THOR!"
Loki suddenly yelled. The last thing you remember was Loki suddenly coming on top of you, shielding you from whatever hit the vehicle.
