On the way to Mount Rageous John Dory had insisted on practicing reaching the perfect family harmony more. It was basically what they had done at the vacay island but with Clay now.

Because singing wasn't your forte you just sat down on the couch waiting for the show to start.

John had also told Branch that he needed to wear something else and handed him something you couldn't quite see. Branch seemed annoyed by John's request but went into the bathroom anyway to change.

You wonder what it could be that he was putting on. Maybe something from his band days like a puffer jacket or well something along those lines.

Hopefully it wouldn't be something weird. John's destions weren't always the best.

Once you hear the door open you look up at Branch only to regret it when you see him in a god damn diaper with blue tinted glasses.

You didn't know whether to laugh or be scared.

"Oh my god. Branch sweetheart, why in god's name are you wearing that?" you say from where you were sitting.

Branch huffed out in frustration, "John thought it would be a good idea to wear exactly what I was wearing the first time we tried the perfect harmony."

John looked up from where he was standing, "oh perfect Branch. Come over and stand here, we're gonna start now."

Branch rolled his eyes so hard that you half expected them to fall out.

Poor Branch.

The music started as soon as they got to their proper prostitution and began harmonizing like before.

From what you could see they were doing pretty well, staying in sync with one another or missing a move but John was still irritated with them.

"Stop. Stop. Timeout. Let's do it again from the top." he paced back and forth.

You leaned over your knees and waited to see what John was gonna criticize them about.

"Spruce, I want some smolder in those eyes." he called out to him. "Clay, you're being too stiff. We need some sillier robot. Bitty B, maybe a smaller diaper."

"If this diaper was any smaller, I could taste it." Branch said dangerously.

"That's why I don't wear one of those. It's a hard fit to pull off." said Tiny driving.

"I don't think you should wear one at all." you lay down on the chair.

"Really great note, John Dory. Super helpful. Thanks. Thanks. Now I have a creative note for you. Stop being bossy!" Clay yelled.

Your head perked up at the sudden yelling.

"What? I'm not being bossy. I'm helping us be better." John defended himself.

"No. No, dude." Clay snapped back at him, "You're forcing us to be perfect,  just like you always have, so we can hit the perfect family harmony."

John was baffled "Yeah. For Floyd."

"Is it?" accused Bruce "Or is this all just so you can tell people what to do again?"

"Wha What?" John choked out.

Poppy stepped in "Guys, guys. This isn't helpful right now. How about we take five?"
Poppy's idea went over their heads as the fighting started to blur into more yelling and snarky remarks. They were bickering and arguing like literal children. All except Branch who watched them fall apart.

You stand up with your arms crossed, "Come on everyone, why are you all fighting like idiots?" you say to them. "We're trying to save someone, not insult each other."

"I'm not insulting them. I'm just telling them the truth." yelled Clay.

"You missed the whole point of what I just said," you say frustratedly under your voice "That's not gonna save Floyd." you say louder.

"They're right. We can't forget about Floyd." Branch said.

John spoke up next "Look, Branch and Y/N are right. We're here for Floyd. Let's just get this done and we can go our separate ways."

"Fine." snapped Bruce and Clay immediately after.

Well that's a little harsh. You though they were happy together, (at least most of the time)

"Wait. What?" said Branch, confused.

Jon turned to his youngest brother "What? The mission's the mission." he chuckled, "You didn't think we'd all live together when this was all over, did you? Singing songs and roasting marshmallows?"

You crinkle your nose at his words.

Branch scoffed "Oh, I'm sorry. Is that funny to you? That I might want us to actually be a family again?" Branch reached into his vest pulling out a piece of paper just sadly holding it in his hands "Tiny Diamond, pull over. Now." He told him.

Groaning, Rhonda came to a steep stop. You grabbed into the wall regaining your balance and watched Branch walk toward the door.

"Don't be a baby, Branch." Bruce told him, following after him.

He faced him "You're mad at him, but you guys do the exact same thing to me. You all still treat me like the baby of the family. But guess what? I stopped being a baby the day you guys walked out on me, 'cause I had to." he pointed at all of them angrily. "Then Grandma got eaten,"

Your face softened when he said remembering back when he told you that story, though this was news to his brother's who must have felt awful.

"This time, I'm walking out on you." Branch announced to them, ignoring their worried facial expressions. Swiftly he turned on his heels and walked out of Rhonda.

Once he was out the door poppy went over to the paper he disposed of on the ground.

"This is Branch's bunker." she told them, unwrinkling the old paper. "He built this for you guys."

"Yeah it is." you confirm searching the drawing. In the back of your head you are reminded of a long forgotten memory of Branch saying he had built it for someone important to him. Some time on the night that Bergen attacked. You guessed that he was talking about his brother's.

"I didn't know." John said quietly.

"Not like you asked." you say.

"I'm going after him." you say standing up to leave.

"Wait. Grandma got eaten?" Clay asked his brothers.

Opening up the door you go down the stairs searching the place around. you could see Branch speed walking toward a bright and colorful city in the distance. Before he could walk any further you started a brisk jog to catch up to him.

"Branch," you say, panting a little, "you can't save Floyd all by yourself."

"Well I am, with or without you and them." said Branch before trudging back toward the city.

You followed closely behind him like a lost puppy.

"What-what are you doing?" he snapped.

"Branch, I want to come with you." you say.

He scoffed, "No you don't. Everyone around me leaves eventually, you should just get it over and done with right now."

You stand up tall when you hear that and grab his hand before he can go any further. He stopped as you laid your hands on his shoulders and turned him around so you could make eye contact with him. "Branch, since the day you broke into my house I knew we would be there for each other. And we have been every step of the way. I'm not going to stop now. Let me help you."

"W-we have." he sighed, "uh, I'm sorry. Thank you."

You hug him for a few seconds before letting out "It's fine, you're welcome. Let's get going." you say, "then we can go back home and forget all about this."

You two began to walk together at your own pace. You didn't really know what the plan would be now since you didn't have the others with you. Though you're pretty sure Branch had already brainstormed a complete foolproof plan.

"ring ring." came a tiny bell from the direction you walked from.

You two glanced at each other wondering what that could be and saw Poppy and Tiny riding on one of those little bicycles with three wheels that children would use.

"Surprise." Poppy smiled, shaking her hands from where they were placed on the bicycle.

"Oh, are you guys coming with us?"  Branch said to them.

"Hey, what can I say? I was moved by Branch's speech and his sad, sad drawing." Tiny joked, making you laugh "Now, let's roll."

Branch hopped on the first you following after him. The poor bicycle squeaked in protest having four people trying to ride on it at the same time but did it's job anyway.

The bicycle began to slowly inched its way to the city as Tiny paddled the petals.

"You know it's nice to not have to walk the whole time." you say from behind as the scooter went down a hill. "I still feel my leg muscles twitching from that."
