"Duke?"
The old man with light gray hair narrowed his eyes, the confused voice made Alberu realize that not everyone is given memories of the past even though they are reincarnated.
"I heard that Cale-ssi has a grandfather who is a noble," Alberu bowed his head slightly, giving a salute that he deliberately made wrong.
"Hahaha," Fredo tapped the cane on the ground, "You're right I am a noble but for a Duke, it seems excessive."
Alberu smiled faintly, "Excuse my ignorance, I thought the term for a noble was Duke."
Fredo's purple eyes shone and he walked closer to Alberu, "You lie," he said while stroking the handle of his cane. "Your lies are so clever that it is very difficult to see the truth."
Alberu's expression began to darken, he should have known that Fredo still had sharp instincts even though the man had no memories of his past as a Vampire Lord.
"You know the posture of giving a noble's salute very well, but you deliberately made a mistake," Fredo stomped the ground with his cane which created a strong wind from the movement.
For someone like Fredo, honesty and being straightforward were the actions Alberu should take. "I have my reasons."
Alberu's black eyes shone sharply, the strong wind swept through his black hair. The current him was different from the independent Class A Hunter Alberu.
Fredo saw the strong conviction in those black eyes and nodded, "I don't know who you are, but if you mess with my grandson..."
That sentence didn't need to be continued, Fredo saw the two of them understand quickly, as expected of people chosen by his grandson.
His grandson could be said to be more similar to himself than to his own father. His stupid son was more idealistic, too blind and kind to the situation at hand.
The only son who was not suitable to be a successor whose younger sister was more adequate than that stupid son.
Since his grandson was born, he had known that Cale had the same thoughts as him. But that child had no motivation and enthusiasm at all.
Even if his grandson was forced to oversee his stupid son's small company.
His son's stupidity had influenced his grandson down a very bad path.
"Hopefully we can meet again," Fredo's figure began to fade, Alberu was sure it wasn't the teleportation magic he did in front of Sung Hyunjae earlier.
What is Fredo's skill in this world?
Alberu and Ron felt their shoulders relax as Fredo's figure began to completely disappear.
"He doesn't seem to remember anything."
Ron's voice sounded sharp, Alberu thought about the situation.
"That means there is a trigger, like I remember everything when I met 'Han Yoojin'," Alberu saw the sky starting to turn yellow.
"Intend to let him get his memories?" Ron lowered the black mask a little so he could breathe more easily.
Alberu looked at the sun from a distance, "No," his lips smiled crookedly, "I don't want a crazy man who wants my little brother's blood to become a potential pedophile grandfather."
__________
Cale looked at his red wrist. His skin here was too white, as Kim Rok Soo his skin was used to receiving wounds but now as Cale, just with a weak rope tie made his skin red and sore.
Choi Han couldn't feel the anger and disappointment in himself for letting Cale get in danger and get hurt.
His black eyes looked at the man wearing glasses, Suk Simyeong, who was handling Choi Han's problems after this kidnapping case.
"Our Hunters protect important people," Suk Simyeong took out a contract that he had made who knows when and showed it to the police.
"This is an act of self-protection according to the contract, that's what we put in our report," the police said without making things difficult for Choi Han and Suk Simyeong.
"Thank you for your cooperation, Mr. Ahn," the bespectacled man said respectfully.
The two of them finally went to see Cale who was sitting on the hospital bed.
"Are you okay, Young Master Gregor?" Suk Simyeong adjusted his glasses to see Cale's condition.
"Thanks to Choi Han, it didn't become a life-threatening problem."
"Indeed, but even so, Mr. Choi Han is a Hunter who is registered as a Hunter for Haeyeon. I hope you don't bring trouble to Choi Han."
Cale actually didn't mind the sharp tone that Suk Simyeong directed but he couldn't help but shiver seeing Choi Han's black aura of anger behind the man.
Cale's hand gestured to stop Choi Han, "I understand, sorry for causing you inconvenience, I didn't know that misfortune would happen to me."
Cale knew that people like Suk Simyeong were like poisonous snakes, who couldn't be fought with any valuable arguments.
Saying that he admitted his mistake and looked pitiful was the solution.
"Choi Han is a good friend, he came to help me who had no one else."
Cale's eyes saw the corner of Suk Simyeong's eyes twitch in annoyance. It seemed that Cale had succeeded in making the man upset.
"It can't be helped if you are in trouble, but your company should provide a Hunter protector for you."
Cale nodded, "I will ask for it."
Suk Simyeong felt that he would suffer a loss if he stayed here, "Then I'll go first, Choi Han will meet the Guildmaster after this."
Choi Han nodded, then saw Cale scratching the scar on the back of his hand again and stroking his wrist that had been treated.
"Cale-nim? Your hand?!" Choi Han saw the long scar on the back of Cale's hand starting to bleed.
Cale realized what he had done, "Now I know why my mother told me to wear gloves."
The hand started to bleed, Choi Han immediately took a bandage and treated the new wound.
"This wound, Cale-nim, where did-"
"This is from an accident," Cale remembered when his aunt was taking care of him, the woman was narrow-minded.
The woman was careless, dropping a knife on his small hand.
His father and mother who happened to see it misunderstood and kicked out his aunt who was already very guilty.
As a result, all this time his mother asked Cale to wear gloves made of silk, which prevented him from injuring the scar further.
For some reason, Cale always couldn't control his urge to scratch when the wound was exposed to the air.
There must have been a reason his mother asked Cale to cover the wound, Cale always felt itchy and the gloves from his mother could relieve the itching.
But that didn't matter now, Cale's eyes saw Sung Hyunjae who came in to visit him.
"Young Master Cale," the man greeted with a charming smile.
"Sung Hyunjae-ssi, I don't know how you found me," Cale saw his red coat flapping as he approached him.
"Can we talk privately, young master?"
