The sun was down and I knew that Harry would be here. I wasn’t sure what to wear. I rummaged through all my clothes, hoping to find something cute, but I couldn’t. There were no dresses in my sense of fashion. I hated dresses. I preferred wearing comfy jeans and shorts with a cute top. I decided to wear a dark gray sheer loose tank top, my ripped shorts with my black belt, my ankle studded combat boots, and my favorite black skull earrings.

It was three hours after the sun went down and Harry still wasn’t at my apartment. I started to wonder if he was actually going to show up tonight. I wanted him to show up tonight. When I heard the knock on the door and Harry standing in front of my apartment door, I was speechless, staring at Harry with the red roses in his hand. I smiled, taking the roses, and letting him inside.

“These roses are beautiful,” I said, inhaling the fragrance.

“Not as beautiful as you,” Harry smiled.

I laughed at his corniness. “Like I haven’t heard that before,” I laughed, placing the flowers in a vase. I decided to place it on the side table near my bed.

I turned around to go back down, but Harry was up here too. “Are we moving places?” Harry asked.

I shook my head, pushing him down the stairs. “No! We are not going that far yet!”

He turned around and placed his hands on my hips. “Yet?” he leaned in. “Can’t wait for that time to come, then.”

“That’s not what I meant.”

He ran his fingers against my cheek. Automatically, my eyes closed. “My touch really has an effect on you, doesn’t it?” he said, softly.

“Mm,” I mumbled with my eyes still closed, enjoying the pleasure of his touch.

He pulled me closer. “Do you want me to stop?”

“Even if I tell you to,” I whispered, “You won’t listen to me.”

“You got a point there. I’m a horrible listener.”

Harry grabbed me by the shoulders and pushed me against the wall hard. I gasped and he kissed me, and even harder when I kissed him back. My hands instantly wrapped around his neck and back. To deepen the kiss even more, Harry pushed me against the wall even more. My response was kissing him equally as hard and slightly pulling his hair. He moaned lightly, took my hands away from him, and held them above my head with one hand.

While kissing me, his free hand glided down my cheek, to the center of my neck, the center of my chest, and curved its way to my thigh. A light moan escaped from me due to the pleasure of his touch. As his hand ran across my hip to my thighs, he kissed my neck, collarbone, and across my chest.

He let go of my hands so that he could run them down my sides and to my backside. With a light squeeze, he pushed me up so that I was straddling him. He continued to kiss me against the wall, carrying me. Then, all of a sudden, we were back on the couch, lying down the same we were the other night, but this time, I was on top.

“Shirt on or off?” he whispered against my ear.

“Off!” I gasped, already removing it for him. I didn’t understand how my fingers moved so fast, unlocking each button. His shirt opened, revealing that beautiful body of his. I wrenched the sleeves off his arms and tossed it to the side.

Before he kissed me again, he stared deep into my eyes and caressed my cheek with his thumb. I moved my head to the side so that his hand would be touching more of my face. Unable to wait that long, I moved him towards me, our lips joined once again, more intense this time. His strong hands clutching my waist and me feeling the pleasure that he bestowed upon me, his hands roughly moved to my thighs, squeezing them, and then back to my waist.

In his swiftness, I was now lying down under him. He intensified the kiss when he lightly nibbled on my lower lip. He moved downwards, kissing my jaw, and neck. His hand lightly hovered from my shoulder, to my breast, and then rested just centimeters away from it. He pulled away slightly, staring down at me. He watched my reaction as his hand moved back up, but instead of hovering over, his fingers ran against them. I sighed and closed my eyes.

I heard him lightly chuckle as he kissed on the lips again. I noticed how his grasp was stronger, but I didn’t think anything of it. His kiss was more powerful than I could ever imagine. His kiss sent chills down my spine, making me want him to kiss me more. Lifting my legs, I squeeze his sides with them as we deepened our kiss.

“No!” Harry turned away from me, his breath ragged.

I sat up, breathing heavily. I hesitantly touched his shoulder and made me look at him. Just like the other night, his fangs were out.

“I’m sorry,” he cracked.

I stared at him. He was so caring. He cared about what I thought of him to a point where he would stop kissing me and turn away until his fangs were gone. It was as if he wanted me to forget that I was a vampire.

I couldn’t let him think that way.

But I shook my head, sat on his lap, and hugged him tightly. He was shocked at first and didn’t make a move for a minute. Finally, he wrapped his arms around me and leaned his head against my shoulder. “I don’t care,” I whispered, surprised at myself for even saying that to a vampire. I leaned in and kissed him softly. “I don’t care.”

He smiled. His fangs were no longer exposed, “Really?”

I nodded, smiling back at him. I noticed that his eyes were watering. I didn’t think that it was possible for a vampire to cry until one tear escaped from his eye. “Your kind cries?”

“Rarely, but yes, we do.” Harry moved a section of hair away from my face. “You really don’t mind seeing my fangs?”

“Just as long as you don’t bite me, then yes, I’m fine with seeing them.” I touched his cheek lightly.

He took note that I was sitting on his lap. “You’re really into crossing personal boundaries, aren’t you?”

I gaped at him and smacked on the shoulder. “I’m crossing personal boundaries?”

He gestured at me, sitting on my lap. “This and the other night where your hand was on my thigh,” he lifted his arms up. “I’m just saying you like making the first move.”

“Okay, what about tonight? I recall you making the first move tonight.”

“No, you did.”

“How?”

He showed off his crooked smile, exposing those dangerously beautiful dimples. “You let me into your house.”

I laughed and got up from his lap. “Only you would say that.”

“You love it though,” he said, following me into the kitchen. Harry looked at the door that held the weapons and anything related to the Black Knights. “What’s in here?”

“Just an office room,” I answered casually.

“Where do you study?” he asked.

Crap, I didn’t think of that. “Just some academy that just opened, I don’t remember the name. It’s hard to memorize.”

He nodded, believing my lies. “Do you like it there?”

“It’s tolerable. The professors I kind of crazy, but it’s a good school.” If you want to be a vampire hunter for a living...

“Do you want to go somewhere with me?”

“Where?”

Without saying a word, Harry grabbed me and, somehow, we were in front of another building within a second. I looked around the place, wondering where I was. There were barely any cars, the buildings were different and seemed crowed compared to the place where I lived. The street signs were too far away and too dark to read.

“Where are we?” I asked Harry.

“London, England,” he answered, walking up the steps.

“I kind of figured we are at London. I mean what part of London?”

He shrugged, “Just a part.”

“Secretive tonight, aren’t we?”

Harry leaned against the door that he opened for me. “Don’t take it personal, Baby, it’s not because I don’t trust you. It’s more of because my family doesn’t trust you.”

I froze. “I’m meeting your family? Tonight?!”

He shrugged, innocently. “You said you were fascinated about them.”

“But, you could’ve given me a warning to look decent.” And so I can have a knife and stake prepared, just in case.

“You look beautiful,” Harry proclaimed, grabbing my hand. “Besides, looking decent would just make them...try to get to know you better.”

“And that’s a bad thing?”

“Well, when they make jokes about you being stolen from me, then yes, it is.” We walked up the stairs. I was nervous about meeting a coven of vampires without even having a weapon. Thoughts ran into my mind about Harry’s coven being cold-blooded killers and he was the only decent one. What if all of them are hungry? What if this is a trap? What if as soon as I walk inside the room, they all attack me? Can Harry do that to me?

“Relax,” Harry commented. Oh, my God, can he hear my thoughts? “Your pulse is racing. Don’t worry. I won’t let them hurt you.”

He opened the door to the room on the fifth floor. My eyes widened as I stared at Harry’s house. The furniture was a modern tradition themed. There were two black spiral staircases on either sides of the room and one large black staircase that even had a white grand piano on it. The living room had black wooden couches with white cushions, a flat screen with a fireplace under it. Black shelves, filled with books, CD’s, and movies. All the latest items were in this place.

“This is where you live?” I asked, looking around. “It’s beautiful.”

“Yeah, my family lives here for now.”

“For now?”

“We move around a lot,” he shrugged. “You like this place?”

“More like love it!” I said, looking around at the paintings. “How did you get this place, anyway?”

“Connections,” Harry shrugged. “If you like this place then you would love all the other places we lived in, well, except the abandoned places.”

“You have more places like this?”

“One of them is a castle,” he answered.

“That’s crazy!”

“Who’s she?” a voice asked.

I turned around to see a tall man with brown blondish hair. He had a superior older feel about him and looked like he carried a lot of responsibility. Right away, I thought that he was the coven leader of Harry’s coven.

“Liam, this is Jazlyn. Jazlyn, this is Liam,” Harry introduced. “Liam’s like a big brother to me.”

“I actually am a big brother to you,” Liam said, shaking hands with me. “I’ve known Harry for about ninety-one years.”

We heard a loud scoff from upstairs. Out of nowhere, a man wearing a black blazer with a blue and white striped shirt appeared in front of us. He had stunning blue eyes and brown hair.

“That’s nothing compared to how long I’ve known you, Liam.” He wrapped his arm around Liam’s shoulders. “We’re going on a hundred and eighty four now.”

“That’s Louis,” Harry informed me. “He is the second oldest in the family.”

So, maybe Liam wasn’t the leader. Louis is the second oldest vampire, though. Who is the first? I looked over to my left and saw a guy wearing a black leather jacket, ripped jeans, and had his hair slicked back.

“I’m Zayn,” he said, taking my hand into his and kissing it. “You’re the most beautiful flower I’ve ever seen in my life.”

My eyebrows shot up, completely shocked that Zayn just used a pick up line on me in front of Harry. I glanced over at Harry, who had his jaws clenched tightly and had his hands in fists. It was clear to see that Zayn didn’t even care that he just did that in front of Harry. He actually seemed rather proud of himself.

“So,” Louis began. “You brought a snack to us?”

Harry glared over at Louis. “Back off.”

“I certainly hope he did,” Liam agreed. They moved towards Harry and me. Harry protectively guarded me behind him. “I’m hungry. What about you, Zayn?”

“Starving,” Zayn answered, licking his lips.

All three of their fangs were exposed. I clutched onto Harry’s shirt, afraid that they’ll attack me. Harry slowly backed away from them as they approached. They were growling and snarling at me as they came closer.

Then they straightened up and walked over to the kitchen. Harry and I looked over at each other, confused of what just happened.

“I can’t believe he didn’t get us anything,” Louis said to them.

“There’s nothing to eat here,” Zayn agreed.

“I wanted pizza!” Louis whined.

Harry’s eyes narrowed at them. “That wasn’t funny. You should know better than to scare my guest like that!”

“Did you let Angelina know that you were bring your girlfriend to the house?” Liam asked him.

Angelina, I thought to myself. I have to remember that name.

“No,” Harry answered.

“He’s going to get in trouble,” Louis whispered over to Zayn loudly. “Can’t wait to see how that goes later.”

“She isn’t going to think it’s a big deal.”

“That’s what you think,” Louis pointed at him. “You of all people should know how she is when you break a rule or two. Plus, that’s the reason why I left, too many rules to follow.”

Harry rolled his eyes. “I’m going upstairs. Leave us alone.”

“Just leave a hat or something on the doorknob!” Louis called out to us.

I walked inside Harry’s room. His furniture was black just like the rest and had dark blue satin sheets.

I sat down on the bed. “You guys stay here a lot?”

He shook his head, still at the door.

“How long have you stayed here?”

“Not that long,” he answered.

“So, who’s Angelina?”

“Just another member of the family,” he shrugged.

“The oldest?”

He nodded.

I nodded. Angelina is the coven leader. “Where is she?”

“Out of the country,” he answered.

Irritated with his short answers and that he was still at the door, I asked, “Why are you at the door and not next to me?”

He gave me his irresistible smile, “Because I’m thinking.”

“Thinking of what?”

His smile got wider, “Thinking of you lying down on the bed next to me for the night.”

“You want me to stay the night?”

“I want you to stay forever.”

I scooted deeper on the bed. “Well, I don’t mind having another make out session with you...and…”

“And what?”

I stared back up at him, “Spending the night here.”

Without saying anything else, Harry strutted over to the bed and again, we began passionately kissing each other for the rest of the night.

I have to say, it was the best night of my life.
