He didn't suspect any foul play.

He just wanted to grow closer to his friends.

They'd gone on a picnic.

Everything was fine, until now.

He'd been sitting on the blanket, eating a sandwich as he joked with Niki. She'd forgiven him, explaining her faults, and how she shouldn't have blamed him.

Jack apologized for apparently planning to kill him.

He was glad about that.

Dream, although a bitch, was right. It's not his time to die anyways.

They'd been laughing over Niki's origami flowers and imaginary dinosaur named Waldo.

They'd been giggling as Jack suggested a turtle temple, but inside was nothing but a turtle aquarium.

They'd been wheezing as Tommy attempted to impersonate George by faking sleep.

They'd let their guards down.

He guesses that Niki and Jack forgot that they were working with Technoblade.

The sword is buried in his stomach. The glistening blade sticks out of his back, while the handle is at his front. Niki's already died, and she's all the way back at her house. 

Jack's legs were cut off by Techno's sword, and he died immediately.

They were messaging in chat.

Tommy needs help!

Nobody could make it in time. He knew this already.

Tommy wasn't one for avoiding the inevitable. He'd prevent it when he could, but not now. 

The axe rests on his neck, just barely breaking skin. He's on his knees, having fallen when he was stabbed. Techno's hand on his shoulder is keeping him upright. His hands were tied behind his back, done by a quick set of hands while the pig's legs fought off the two others.

"Theseus."

He doesn't answer. He doesn't feel like it. He's so damn tired of this. Tired of fighting.

"You know, it's polite to answer when I talk to you."

Tommy sighs. He ignores the situation, looking out across the field. There's dandelions to the left. There's a flowing river too.

"Theseus."

The axe is pressing up, pressure slightly increasing.

"Hmm?" Tommy responds. He doesn't want to die just yet.

"You need to know why before I kill you, Hero."

"Mkay. That's your choice."

Techno sighs, irritated. 

"Everything you've done to me, other's have as well. Logically, they've harmed me more than you have. And their actions are their own."

"I'm sorry am I dying or not?"

"Shut up. As I was saying, I really can't blame you for half of the things that have happened to me, Theseus, do you understand?"

"Sure."

"Whatever. Moving on. You, are a hero. There's no two ways about it. Through and through. And it is your greatest fault."

"Continue."

"I am a villain. There's no two ways about it. It is my greatest fault. You and I are opposites, and yet we are the same. We try so hard, but always fail to escape ourselves."

"Where is this going?"

"Would you stop interrupting me? You and I are the same sides, of different coins. We're the same, but we're also different. I have voices in my head, and you are annoying."

That's not nice.

"But you and I are both incredibly powerful. We are both skilled fighters, we've both dueled Dream and won. We are both resourceful, strategic."

It's coming now.

"Tommy, Theseus, Hero. The thing is, when you have two incredibly powerful people on opposing sides, the conflict never ends. You know what that means?"

He heard one last thing.

"There can be only one."

Tommyinnit was slain by Technoblade using [Sorry Everyone]
