To the Man I Vowed With
𝑏𝑙𝑜𝑔 𝑝𝑜𝑠𝑡
Days passed, and nothing seemed to change—except you. You became the sweetest person I’d ever known.
It doesn’t suit you, Kai.
But I’d always dreamed of you being like this.
There was a night when I woke up, gasping for air, unable to breathe. And you were there, Kai.
“Yanna!” you called out, but your voice sounded muffled, like it was coming through layers of water. I couldn’t hear it clearly.
I wanted to scream, to tell you I was scared, but no words came out. I was drowning, Kaiden. It felt like water invaded my lungs, stealing every breath.
And then the waves of chaos followed—the nurses and doctors rushing in, the panic filling the room. Somewhere in the chaos, I caught a glimpse of you through the crowd of medical staff.
I wanted to reach for you, to assure you, but the weight of the pain pulled me under. I was drowning.
I heard your voice again, trembling, filled with fear, as if you were terrified of losing me.
Are you crying?
Do you truly care now, Kaiden?
As the machines beeped steadily beside me, I made a silent prayer:
Please, just give me a little more time. Time to hold him, to laugh with him, to see his smile just once more.
Just a little more time.
